job info or a place to ask my questions

I’ve been trying to search out information on some jobs that I can do
from home. (Since I have a pretty dismal chance at getting
transportation to go to work.) I can’t seem to hit on the right
keyword group or whatnot to do a search on learning transcribing,
general, medical, or some other specialization you might find. I
understand to look for a course where I can be certified (or whatever
it is called) but I find myself over loaded with information and can’t
decide what to look into. I tried searching for a course tailored to
the blind, but I kept finding courses on Braille transcriptionists and
I can’t do that (I’m not able to read Braille due to neuropathy in my
hands though trust me I’ve tried to learn it.)
I understand that there is a learning curve and doing this job is not
easy, but all I need is a point in the right direction that I need to
get started. I’m talking the right course, places to find work, and
possible hiccups I might run into. (Ones especially from accessibility
stand points.) My other choice was to look into proofreading, but I’m
not 100% confident in my English grammar or punctuation skills.
I’m willing to try most anything to be able to get some work that I
can do from home. I live in the greater San Antonio area and I know
there are jobs out there that I can do … but once again transportation
is a hang up for me. Where I live there is no public transportation
and I know there is a special transit for disabled people, but I’ve
never known those to be reliable for those looking for rides to and
from work.
I think I sound like a bit of a whiner, but I know that there are some
people out there blind or visually impaired who have jobs they do and
I’m sort of at a wall right now and don’t know where to look next for
ideas for some sort of employment. I don’t have education past a high
school degree and have done work from making candles, boxes, to
running the tech department (I miss that job) of a small web hosting
company and running customer service department for a grocery store
along with cashiering.
What sites can I use to look? Are there courses or places people
recommend to look at or use? Are they blind friendly?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hehe, actually, no. I'll hop over and take a look in sounds though to see what I find. Do you possibly mean some place where the talkback navigation sounds might be listed and what they are set to indicate? that would be majorly awesomeness if so. lol

I didn't really pay attention to whether this was the 2016 or 2017 version of the tablet, but I'm going to assume it's the later one. I'm thinking that there shouldn't be any real differences between the two, yours and mine, but there very well might be. As Carlos also mentioned later in the thread, it might also be just that something is messed up with it being cheaper hardware and I drew the wrong straw. lol

I don't recall if it was ever mentioned, but is this audex free? An ability to have a sound specific to when you perform a double tap could certainly be helpful in trying to figure out if it was actually working.
Thanks.
Take care.

I've been using different touchscreen devices every since I purchased the IPhone4, had an S3 with both ICS and then rooted to use jellybean with cm10 for a short time, back to the IPhone5, IPads and now to the IPhone6 plus which I've had since it's release.

My issue really wasn't from a lack of knowledge of the gestures used for android, as they are for the most part equivalent to those used in IOS, it was more so my confusion why most gestures were working decent enough to use and that one was not. Now that I've played with it even more, had an opportunity to tap it lightly, hard, tap it slow and fast and yet see no difference, I really don't have any clues.

This isn't the first time I've herd of this type of thing on an android device, but it's the first time I've actually seen it with one I've played with. As you say, if you have detached the keyboard and you're finding that the double tap gesture is registering as it should, then perhaps it's something out of my control to fix or re-configure, such as some weirdness in the display.

I've also tried to visit the preferences area of tb and enable the one tap activation gesture, to see if it'd work as a workaround, but it still doesn't perform a click on an element with raising your finger and tapping once as it should. It does seem to make the double tap work a little better, but it's still not consistent.

As I said before, I think I need to figure out a way to test the difference between it registering a single tap and a double tap and do it without tb running. It'd be my thinking that that'd be the best way to determine if it's something specific to the accessibility framework, so tb or EBT or something outside of it like the hardware.

Lastly, I also noticed an option in the settings for tb that indicated that you could change the sensitivity for it registering taps. I may be slightly off it the exact wording, but either way, I also tried to adjust that to see if it'd change and it didn't.
Take care.

Hey all,
First let me just say that I do not intend what so ever to start any

far with this new tablet haven't been good at all. It was my hopes
that perhaps updating tb might fix some of the issues I'm seeing so
far, but it hasn't done much for being able to navigate around this
thing.

Beyond that, I'm hoping that perhaps something is faulty in the
hardware, but either way, here is what I'm having issues with, so
perhaps someone with more experience can help.

As soon as I got the tablet this morning, I followed the instructions
here for starting tb. I'm familiar with using this two-finger gesture,
as I'd used it before on other devices, but I unfortunately wasn't
able to get it to work right away. I ended up locking and unlocking
the screen, as was mentioned here previously, using one finger to
flick up and then using the two-finger gesture again. After a little
bit tb came up talking and took me to the tutorial thing as I'd expected.

It was here that I started having a lot of problems. First, the double
tap gesture seems to be very difficult to register. From what I can
tell so far, the other gestures such as flicking aren't as bad, but no
matter how slow or fast I try to double tap, it always seems to
register it as me just touching the item once. I noticed that it's a
little more reliable if I keep one finger on the item I want to
activate and then use another finger to double tap, but this isn't
always consistent either.

Another real gripe was actually making it through the setup process.
One area specifically that I got stuck in was the one where you can
select your wireless AP you wish to connect to. I'm not quite certain
if it was the flick gesture screwing up, an issue with that part of
the interface, or whatever, but I ended up in an area where the name
of an AP here close to me was being repeated over and over and over.
As soon as I'd use the arrow keys on the keyboard or a flick right
gesture to try to jump to the name of my AP, I would get the sound
from tb that something else had been refocused and it would jump back
to somewhere else on the screen. Once I'd made it to the name of my
AP, I tried to quickly use the double tap to activate it, but once
again, it failed. I ended up having to use a mixture of the arrow
keys, enter key, touching the screen to find stuff that I couldn't
focus on with the keyboard and the flick gestures to make it through.

Once I'd made it through setting up the tablet, I was able to go into
the apps icon on the bottom and locate the play store icon. Through
using explore by touch, flicking and the keyboard, I was able to
locate the search button and do a search for talkback. I'd also been
somewhat familiar with this process from older devices, so I already
knew what to expect as to installing/updating it. Once I'd updated it,
I noticed that the navigation sounds had changed, but I'm still having
major issues with actually moving around through the UI. This is where
I'm hoping that maybe something is jacked up with the screen, as to
why it's hard to register a double tap, but if not, I'm not quite sure
I'd call this usable at all. I'll also note that in the little I've
been able to play with higher end devices, such as the s7, I didn't
seem to have issues with gestures like this.

For anyone else who might be thinking of purchasing this, please keep
in mind that it doesn't seem to have dedicated hardware buttons for
back and home. For those familiar with some of the phones that
actually have a home button you can feel, this makes it quite easy to
re orientate yourself back to the home screen if you're stuck or
whatever. While the tablet does have buttons going along the very
bottom of the screen, back, overview, home, volume down and volume up,
it appears to be necessary to use the double tap gesture to activate
these, so that means it's stupidly hard to get them to work.

I then decided to locate the settings app and see if there were any
preferences I might could change to help, which leads me to my final
problem. I checked through everything I could find, accessibility,
checked the TTS, looked at the TTS's speech rate, whent back a bit and
turned down the brightness on the screen, pressed back on the keyboard
to go back into the main settings again and poof, I completely lost
speech. It didn't appear that tb had crashed, as I still had the
navigation sounds that tb used when I used flick or the keyboard to
move, but the speech from the default google TTS that comes loaded was
completely gone. I tried to lock and unlock the screen which didn't
work, so I ended up holding down the power button for like 30 seconds
and everything was shut down. Luckily for me, when the device came
back up, I had speech again. I've thought about purchasing another
TTS, as one reason I tried it was for being able to use eloquence, but
I'm honestly a little worried with what I see so far from what I
assume is crappy hardware.

I'd really hoped that the 80 bucks I put into purchasing this little
beasty would be enough to give me an idea if a higher end device such
as a phone would be something I'd like changing to, but so far as I
can tell, I'm not pleased at all.
It was here that I was hoping that perhaps it's just me, something
screwy with the hardware that could be fixed, or that perhaps someone
else had ideas on stuff I could try.
Hope everyone is well.
Take care.

Jeremy <icu8it2@...>

Hi,
Both me and my wife messed around with the single tap option a little last night. I wanted her there so I could be a bit more accurate on if I was actually tapping the icon, tapping one close to it, some empty part of the display, or whatever and this is what we noticed.

Once I've enabled the single tap in tb's preferences, and go back to the homescreen, I can use the flick left and right gestures to move around as normal. Once I get to an item with this method however, unless I tap on that same icon that I moved to, it will either move focus to another icon if I tapped it, or nothing if I happen to tap in an empty section of the screen. If I use explore by touch to locate an icon though, the single tap seems to work consistently for activating it.

This did bring a question to mind though, so perhaps you or someone else with experience with talkback can answer it. I notice that when I attempt a tap or double tap and it does not work, talkback makes this tiny beep sound. I'm not sure on what all the different navigation sounds are supposed to indicate, but it's the same sound I get if I do a single tap in an empty part of the screen. I'll also note that I have updated my tb again, so it's the same navigation sounds that come on the latest one from the playstore, if that helps. If there is some sort of page or podcast that has the sounds listed and what they do, that would be neat too. haha
Take care.

Well, I am not into double tapping; in Talkback, I changed stuff to single

In Android, once an icon has focus, you can tap anywhere on the screen to
launch it. Example, suppose I want to launch the E-Mail app; I find the
appropriate icon, here it announced by Talkback; then I lift my finger and
tap anywhere on the screen to launch it. Again, I only have to tap once to
launch an app once its icon has focus. There are of course those who prefer
the double tap, I'm not in that boat.

Not just based on what I have read, but more so on personal experience: A
light touch is all that's required when using Android device. The words
"light touch" do have dictionary definitions without a doubt. However, that
which constitutes a LIGHT TOUCH will be different for each person.

Now, how often do I use two fingers on my Android toy? I use these when
pulling down the Notification Panel, flipping from one home screen to
another, scrolling up and down, swiping from left to right to answer a
WhatsApp call, or, starting Talkback after having performed a factory reset.
Beyond these, all other gestures I perform with just one finger.

Presently, I have a touchscreen phone; however, as I prepare to set up a
POINT OF SALE system using Android, the time is more than ripe for me to
grab a tablet and begin the workout! I have, at various phone stores,
played with a number of tablets ranging in size from 8" through 11.5". I
like the Samsung line quite a bit; I think it's hardware, for my purposes,
has the best real estate for what I am trying to accomplish.

Stories from the Tech Desk

Dave

Hello Olusegun,

Wow! Your story brings back a lot of memories of when I spent time working the Technical Support Desk, and it is a wild pressure filled job. Customers are angry and too many need to vent their anger on you, often several times, before they are able to settle down, to actually listen to the very person who can help them out of their situation.

I can't imagine being given only 50 seconds to answer, listen and solve a customers problem. I've had calls that took 5 minutes just to calm the person down from their rant, before I could even begin helping them. And if there is the need for a Removal and a Re-install of the software, it is easy to Kiss 30 to 40 minutes Good Bye. There are some crazy situations that need to be un-tangled before a solution can be implemented. I had a supervisor tell me I should take no more than 10 minutes with any customer for any problem. And again, this is coming from a Supervisor that knows very little about computers, the sof5tware we were selling, or the length of time it takes to clean up a system, before a reinstall can begin.

And then some customers are not very good with their Computers, and in fact, know next to nothing, other than how to turn it On. Some leave their systems on all the time because they honestly do not know how to turn them off! Not Kidding! And then if they are older, and have difficulty grasping what you are saying, or they cannot hear you because they have a hearing problem, well, you see the problem. Few calls are done in 10 minutes, and I would guess none were actually done in 50 seconds. My word, 50 seconds! What Planet were your Bosses from?

I have always believed that if a Company takes care of its Customers, those Customers will take care of the Company.

Sad to say, no one in Management has this same belief, and instead treat the Customer as if they are the Enemy!

I am still thinking about the 50 second time limit you had for helping someone. Incredible that management actually thought a customer service person could answer and complete a call in less than one minute!

Well, this all gets back to Money Honey. The Company makes deep compromises when crafting the product, and then often under staffs the Support department, so it is easily over whelmed with support calls. And the brilliant answer from management is to not hire the much needed extra support staff, but to force what staff there is, to limit each call to no more than 50 seconds. Incredible!

Sad to say, this is becoming the Norm, and not the exception. The
Customer has become the enemy.

I see some good signs, a few Companies are once again realizing Customer
Service is a Good thing, and a very Important part of keeping customers
happy. I hope this trend towards good service continues.

Grumpy Dave

Re: New RCA Galileo, my thoughts

I didn't really pay attention to whether this was the 2016 or 2017 version of the tablet, but I'm going to assume it's the later one. I'm thinking that there shouldn't be any real differences between the two, yours and mine, but there very well might be. As Carlos also mentioned later in the thread, it might also be just that something is messed up with it being cheaper hardware and I drew the wrong straw. lol

I don't recall if it was ever mentioned, but is this audex free? An ability to have a sound specific to when you perform a double tap could certainly be helpful in trying to figure out if it was actually working.
Thanks.
Take care.

unless the touch screen is made a bit different than mine? I don't know. But I can tell you that I can double tap just fine on my RCA tablet. Using audex helps because I get a sound and stuff when I double tap and do gestures and stuff. the audex accessibility redefined app, that is what i use.

So, I had an opportunity to test a double tap without tb running and go figure, it worked perfectly, every single time. I made sure to test different speeds of tapping, different amounts of force and the double tap was flawless. I then had my wife remove the updates to tb that had been added when I updated it and then we went back through the tutorial again. Even inside the tutorial, in the part where it has you demonstrate a double tap, it wasn't working as consistently as it had before we started it back up, but we were able to complete the tutorial. Once we'd gotten back on the home screen, we noticed some major inconsistencies again with getting them to register. She was able to get it working pretty well using one finger and then not at all with another one. I had issues no matter what finger I tried, but I noticed that I could tap it with the fat part right below my knuckle and get it about every 5 or 6 times. I even re-updated tb, thinking that perhaps some part of some mechanism that tb uses to intercept the gestures was wigging out, but it still hasn't changed. We are still able to completely turn it off and have them work correctly, so at this point, I'm completely boggled.

The last thing I thought of, which I've yet to try is doing a complete factory reset of the device. This seems really stupid to me, as I just received it this morning, but I honestly don't have any ideas beyond that or any ideas of where else to go with it. As much as I'd really love to get back into android, hopefully figure out if a higher end phone is going to work for me, I'm thinking that perhaps this wasn't the best way to go about it. rofllmao
Take care. :)

On 4/26/2017 6:36 PM, jeremy wrote:
Unfortunately, as much as I'd like it to, I highly doubt that practicing a double tap beyond what I've already tried is going to automagically cause it to start registering them differently. My apologies if I didn't mention it before, but I'm not exactly new to using a touchscreen.

Take care.

Comparing iPhone with Android.

SK22

My friend is thinking of switching from iPhone to Android. She is looking for any podcasts comparing them.  She uses Voiceover but she wants to know everything she can and is not just concerned with accessibility. If anyone knows of podcasts comparing phones please send me the links so that I can forward them to her.  Thanks.

I don't know what you are referring to by buttons.  Move from category to category with h or 3.  Then when you find a category you want to look at in more detail, start down arrowing.  I found no buttons.  And, as I said, if you follow a link to a department, you can search as usual after that.

We'll see what others say.  I didn't see a combo box with any browser I tried.  My version of Chrome is somewhat old and I don't know if that would have any bearing on what is seen.  But the following may or may not be useful.  I don't use the site and I just looked today.

Below the search field is a link that says departments.
If you follow that link, a page comes up with what appears to be all departments with items from the departments under each name.  Each department is a level 3 heading.  You can move from department to department link by repeatedly typing 3.  If you follow a department link and then search, you can see if the search shows items from that department first or limits itself to that department.

If you don't want to deal with the clutter, you could also

It has been a few weeks since I have been on Amazon, and
when I went on the website a few days ago, it was completely
different.

When doing the search, there was always a combo box to
select the department and then the edit field. Now there is
a department link which takes me to a page with multiple
links and buttons to different departments and edit fields
and a whole lot of frustration and wasted time.

Is there a way to get back to the regular page with the
combo box or does it even exist?

Thanks.

Wow, I've only had dealings with you here on list and not yet an opportunity to shop with you, but I very much so wish there were more business owners who felt the same way as you do. I understand needing to make a profit, even if it's a tiny one to keep things going and bread on the table, but there are definitely a high number of people who are only concerned with making more green.

I never really understood this until my wife and I started looking into what it was going to take to set up a firework stand for the Christmas for Kids charity that a friend of ours runs each year. The price at which you could purchase fireworks compared to what most people were reselling them at was absolutely silly. I also found out that each year a number of people come in and can spend anywhere from 1000 to 5000 dollars in one go for a truck full of fireworks too, so perhaps it isn't as bad for them. lol

All the same, hats off to you bro and everyone else like you who stays honest and takes good care of their customers.
Take care.

service contract. We could only spend 50 seconds on the phone with each

horrible and overtly buggy. I would read the notes from other colleagues
and these were always incomplete.

It so happened that a naval officer called and was extremely angry because
his issues had not been sufficiently addressed. He specifically told me
that he would not get off the phone until he saw results. I looked at the
notes from other colleagues and, sure enough, the documentations were bad.
This was the fifth call from the same guy and I happened to have been the
one that took it this time.

I assured the gentleman that he and I would work together to address all the
issues he was having. I had to RECONFIGURE his settings, taking him step by
step through what he needed to do. When we were done, I made him test his
connection three times and I documented everything in my notes. I thanked
him for being patient with me and was about to hang up when he requested to
speak to my supervisor.

Placing him on-hold, I paged the supervisor who came to my desk berating me
for taking too long on the call. I told her the caller I just served wanted
to talk to her. She grabbed another headset, connected it to my work phone,
took the naval officer off hold and made me listen to the entire
conversation between them. I recall the naval officer telling my supervisor
that he had served in the navy for 31 years; he stated that I was the fifth
person to have taken his call. He said that I had a good listening ear,
treated him like a good neighbor, addressed all of his issues
satisfactorily, and he'd forever be grateful. He concluded by telling my
supervisor that he didn't know what establishments do for civilians who do a
good job, but that I deserved anything and everything to which I was
entitled to. He offered to send a letter of recommendation if needed.

I asked my supervisor afterwards for a five-minute break; I was struggling
to rescue uncontrollable tears; I bolted into the bathroom, stood there and
just let them flow for three minutes before I returned to my desk. That
day, I made a pledge that I would never ever sell anything of inferior
quality to anyone! If, when push comes to shove I can't use it because it's
inferior, no, I won't stock or sell it in my store front.

Teletech was more concerned about the number of calls each person took as
opposed to providing good quality service. A month later, I quit working
for the company because in clear conscience, I could not and would not
provide inferior service to any of the callers whose call came to my desk.
I have no regrets for the decision I made then, I'll do it even now in a
heartbeat should the need arise!

Thanks.

The best way to chedck is to not allow cookies, then go to the site.  You don't have to sign in.  I can see the home page and the search area without signing in.  I am very doubtful that cookies have anything to do with the problem.  I never use Amazon and I wouldn't have such a setting.  Yet, I see the combo box with one browser and not with two others.  It is also very unlikely that Amazon would make turning off the combo box a setting option.

But if you want to test, rather than removing any cookies, setting Internet Explorer not to allow cookies, then going to the site is the best option.  When you allow cookies again, the cookie will still be on the machine and you won't have lost any site settings.

I think that may be part of the issue. For some reason, it seems to be placing me on the mobile app page. The last time I purchased something, I was on the regular Amazon page, in fact, I have never used the app page, but I thought I would try signing out and back in. When I did, it didn't place me in the normal sign in field, but rather only showed the sign in field for my e-mail or phone number for the mobile app.

Since I had no other choice, even after typing in from scratch amazon.com, I used that field and sure enough, it took me to that webpage.

I will check out support and see if they are having a mix-up with their app page in certain areas of the country. I think this happened one other time.

Hey all,

I have had this situation for about 3 days …I close my browser which is IE  and then go back to the amazon site and the combo box is there …it’s been here throughout the day  …I just called the disability number and asked about the change whether or not it will remain permanent …the inquiry has been ‘escalated’  and I will get an answer on the combo box situation in a day or two …so hold on everyone …

Re: New RCA Galileo, my thoughts

Jeremy <icu8it2@...>

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure at this point what could be causing the inconsistencies in that one gesture. I'd really hoped that the double tap gesture would still be having issues outside of tb running, so it'd be easier to say it was strictly an issue in hardware, but since it's only with tb running, I really don't know.

Several little brainfarts had me curious if it could potentially be caused between the time that you issue the double tap, tb intercepts it and then it is sent as the command for a click item or whatever it's called, but in looking through the gestures assignment area of tb's preferences, I didn't see an entry for a single tap or double tap. The next closest entry I could find was in the keyboard shortcuts area, where enter is set to perform click, but in using the keyboard and playing with it, that seems to be slightly different than what a double tap is supposed to accomplish. It's been a while since I really got into android, so there are a lot of things I still need to read up on, but I did find under the talkback preferences an option to enable different levels of logging and some specific to the start and end to a gesture. Once I find out again how to get access to those logs, I just might rejoin the eyes free list so perhaps a dev there can explain it. Either way, I do not think this is an issue with tb itself, else I'd think there would be a lot more users upset with it, so perhaps it's still somewhat caused by something in hardware too, a file that's missing or screwed up, who knows.

Before I return it for a replacement, I still also want to try both a factory restore and also a complete restore using what ever application is required to flash the firmware to it. I don't know if RCA devices follow close to the same process that I used way back when on the s3, but flashing the AT&T firmware back to it after I'd rooted it wasn't all that hard and the application was actually really accessible. I'd typically think that a factory restore would be enough, but I had a good friend of mine who had purchased a Nexus tablet and on trying to start tb for the first time, figured out that there were missing files that resulted in errors. It ended up becoming necessary to have sited help to do an update which finally got it working for him.
Take care.

unless the touch screen is made a bit different than mine? I don't know.
But I can tell you that I can double tap just fine on my RCA tablet. Using
audex helps because I get a sound and stuff when I double tap and do
gestures and stuff. the audex accessibility redefined app, that is what i
use.

So, I had an opportunity to test a double tap without tb running and go
figure, it worked perfectly, every single time. I made sure to test
different speeds of tapping, different amounts of force and the double tap
was flawless. I then had my wife remove the updates to tb that had been
added when I updated it and then we went back through the tutorial again.
Even inside the tutorial, in the part where it has you demonstrate a double
tap, it wasn't working as consistently as it had before we started it back
up, but we were able to complete the tutorial. Once we'd gotten back on the
home screen, we noticed some major inconsistencies again with getting them
to register. She was able to get it working pretty well using one finger and
then not at all with another one. I had issues no matter what finger I
tried, but I noticed that I could tap it with the fat part right below my
knuckle and get it about every 5 or 6 times. I even re-updated tb, thinking
that perhaps some part of some mechanism that tb uses to intercept the
gestures was wigging out, but it still hasn't changed. We are still able to
completely turn it off and have them work correctly, so at this point, I'm
completely boggled.

The last thing I thought of, which I've yet to try is doing a complete
factory reset of the device. This seems really stupid to me, as I just
received it this morning, but I honestly don't have any ideas beyond that or
any ideas of where else to go with it. As much as I'd really love to get
back into android, hopefully figure out if a higher end phone is going to
work for me, I'm thinking that perhaps this wasn't the best way to go about
it. rofllmao

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like it to, I highly doubt that
practicing a double tap beyond what I've already tried is going to
automagically cause it to start registering them differently. My apologies
if I didn't mention it before, but I'm not exactly new to using a
touchscreen. I've been using different touchscreen devices every since I
purchased the IPhone4, had an S3 with both ICS and then rooted to use
jellybean with cm10 for a short time, back to the IPhone5, IPads and now to
the IPhone6 plus which I've had since it's release.

My issue really wasn't from a lack of knowledge of the gestures used
for android, as they are for the most part equivalent to those used in IOS,
it was more so my confusion why most gestures were working decent enough to
use and that one was not. Now that I've played with it even more, had an
opportunity to tap it lightly, hard, tap it slow and fast and yet see no
difference, I really don't have any clues.

This isn't the first time I've herd of this type of thing on an
android device, but it's the first time I've actually seen it with one I've
played with. As you say, if you have detached the keyboard and you're
finding that the double tap gesture is registering as it should, then
perhaps it's something out of my control to fix or re-configure, such as
some weirdness in the display.

I've also tried to visit the preferences area of tb and enable the one
tap activation gesture, to see if it'd work as a workaround, but it still
doesn't perform a click on an element with raising your finger and tapping
once as it should. It does seem to make the double tap work a little better,
but it's still not consistent.

As I said before, I think I need to figure out a way to test the
difference between it registering a single tap and a double tap and do it
without tb running. It'd be my thinking that that'd be the best way to
determine if it's something specific to the accessibility framework, so tb
or EBT or something outside of it like the hardware.

Lastly, I also noticed an option in the settings for tb that indicated
that you could change the sensitivity for it registering taps. I may be
slightly off it the exact wording, but either way, I also tried to adjust
that to see if it'd change and it didn't.
Take care.
