Hi all,
Yes, Mike, I agree. I think, IMO, that the makers of jaws need to take a good, hard look at the practices of other screen reader makers and ask themselve why every single one of them has a hotkey. WE did. SA does. NVDA does. So does the British screen reader whose name I can't remember. So does the one from Baum. It would seem to me, of course I'm not a techie, that if every other screen reader installs a hotkey, maybe there's a good reason for doing it. Ann P. -- Ann K. If I may gently point out. Jaws is the *only* screen reader which refuses to place a hotkey for the user at installation. Since the general user needs a hotkey in order to restart Jaws unless he or she is aware of the various ways to start a program in windows, it would seem to make sense to have Jaws invoke a hotkey. That hotkey can always be removed or changed by an experienced user. This attitude seems skewed to me. It would seem that a company would want to do what is best for the majority of its costomers. Re: plumbing issue any ideas?
Ann Parsons
Hi all,
Well, I'm not a plumber, so I can't give you any advice except that you've got a water pressure problem. My best advice is to call a plumber. I'd get names from your neighbors or friends. I'd get three estimates if it looks like it's going to take lots of money to fix, and I'd choose either the middle one, or the guy who treats you like a human being instead of like a blind person. If you're really worried about being stiffed, get a neighbor or friend to be with you when the people come, and if you get a contract, do not sign anything unless you have the whole thing read to you, the whole thing, not parts. Do not allow your reader to say, "It says ..." No, no, uh-uh. read the whole thing, every word. That's my best advice. Ann P. -- Ann K. I asked my Dad who is a plumber.. Sounds like there is a leak in the main water line that supplies water to your house. Hoping for your sake if I'm correct it is on the city's side & not in your yard. If in your yard it is going to be expensive to fix. My Dad also suggested that you go outside & remove the cover to the crawl space & listen to see if you hear water running. The leak from what you describe will be pretty bad & you should be able to hear.

Re: gmail putting a lot of messages in spam
Gene
You can mark things as not spam after you receive
them. I don't know how effective this is or how many times you have
to do this before GMail recognizes that addresses or domains aren't spam.
As far as I know, the spam filters aren't user configurable. I don't like
GMail for reasons like this and, though I have an account, I don't use it.
I want an e-mail address that won't change if I
change providers and I pay a small amount, five dollars a month, to have an
account I pay for, which has none of these problems and which is completely user
definable. The only thing that some users wouldn't like about my e-mail
provider is that it only offers POP3 accounts. But I'm sure there are many
IMAP providers that sell MAPI accounts.

Hi. These are technical and programming books. There is info about windows and servers and that, but unless you want to dip deeper into the ins and outs of your OS, then these are not for you, not unless you have the inclination to learn a lot more about your computing environment. This is just to tell you what you are in for, so be prepared.

The below is an extract from a personal message from someone who wants the script, so please extract the info from below. Hi. Here it is. I will place a beginning marker and end marker for you to copy the script. The script itself is between 2 lines of 8 asterisks. As for other power shell scripts, let me know what you need and I'll see if I can write out some for you. This particular script I have adapted from the Script I downloaded from the site. All you need do is to look for the download path which is "c:\Download\ebooks". If you need to change the download path, just edit that line, or you can choose to create the path exactly as required by the script on your c drive, c:\Download\ebooks for example. After that, just select all the text from the file, type in "Power shell" in your search box and press enter to invoke the power shell terminal. Then press Alt+space, arrow up or down to the edit menu, then choose paste, and you are good to go. HI. There is a difference between POP and IMAP. Pop is Post Office Protocol, thus enabling you to sort out your mails on your own, as is done to maills in a real live post office. IMAP, on the other hand stands for Internet Mail access Protocol, and the nature of the internet being what it is doesn't trust you to sort things out for yourself but sorts your mail according to it's own preference. This is the most human way i can think of when putting a view to this.
