Akash,

Congratulations on developing the app, it sounds like a great addition for the Android devices. It is too bad that I am an iPhone user, perhaps you could adapt it for that system.

Hi Michael,
Pasting the Audex description below:
Audex is redefining accessibility for your android devices.
It gives you many smart features such as: Smart Labeling System,
Audible Access etc.
What is Smart Labeling System (SLS)?
Audex includes a Smart Labeling System, Which automaticly labels all
the unlabeled controls throughout your apps and device.
This feature is very useful and improves the accessibility of
unlabeled controls by 90 - 95%.
Audex also provides audible feedback for many events such as:
• Clicking,
• Touching/Hovering,
• Swiping on the screen,
• Opening/closing the windows and menus,
• Scrolling,
• Performing the gestures,
• Starting/Finishing the gestures,
• Long pressing,
• Charger Plugging/Unplugging,
• Screen On/Off etc.
Different-different sounds are associated with every event out there.
This app can be used in conjunction with/without any screen reader such as:
• Google Talkback,
• Shine Plus,
• Samsung Voice Assistant etc.
This app can be very useful for screen reader users.
You can customize the sounds for every event along with toggling them.
App has 6 sound schemes bundled with it, 2 out of them are fully customizable.
There’s a ‘shared’ sound scheme which allows users to share the sound
schemes with others on demand if required.
Audex is very responsive and very low on memory, so, no need to worry either.
Note for screen reader users:
For optimal experience, please turn off the sound feedback of your
screen reader. (Don’t Worry, you’ll not regret it, it has many sounds,
which are in
fact better than talkback etc.).
To use Audex:
• Go to Settings,
• Then Accessibility,
• Then Audex,
• Click the button which is labeled as ‘off’,
• Click ‘OK’ on displayed warning/alert.

You are now ready to enjoy the Audible Access and Navigation
throughout your device!
Many more features are on the way!

Hi David,

Yes, don’t be afraid to purchase the Fire TV Stick. It is really accessible and easy to use. The latest version has the Alexa remote which is great because as you may know, you can ask her to do many things for you that are not associated with the TV. One tip, check the accessibility of any app before you decide to start using it, some of the apps that you will see when browsing the Fire Stick are not accessible. The Amazon accessibility support line should be able to help you with this. There is a Fire TV support group that they can connect you with.

No, that's not the URL being talked about. Supposedly, the main web site for nls was changed on July 9th, and it seemed to work well at the time, but it doesn't now.

The URL which is being discussed is: http://www.loc.gov/nls

They are being received.  On all groups.io lists, there is a policy set up by the owner of the list serve that list administrators can't change.  Any time someone joins a list, there first message must be approved.  That is to stop spam which is, evidently, a problem on some lists.

Also, you don't see your messages when you use GMail.  GMail doesn't send list mail to you that you have sent to e-mail lists.

As far as spam goes, as you asked about on another list, I doubt there is any e-mail provider that doesn't receive spam.  I don't use GMail but I have an account.  It appears to me that the spam filter GMail uses does a good or quite good job of catching spam.

Re: computer hardware recommendations

Dave, If you are setting up your pc for everyday normal use, then you would not need one with nifty specs. My son has a toshiba laptop, I5 processor, 500 GB ssd storage, 4 gb ram, an onboard RealTech sound chip and a NVIDIA graphics chip, more than enough for him to play his games and do his school work. But if you want to use your pc for intensive processing like audio/video editting, hard core pc games, graphics rendering, then you would need more. Perhaps you might want to look at a new motherboard, Asus seems to produce competent ones. I personally prefer one with an intel processor, but again, that is open to debate. Most important is that you look at your needs and plan for purchasing the hardware that will help you most in serving them. Cheers!

recommendations, if anyone has any of this, and could recommend a
reputable product, i'd appreciate it.

I'd like to know how one identifies the various PCI-e slots and what
each one does in terms of performance? I'm wondering where should I
put the graphics card, a second USB card and a bluetooth card are
coming in?

My primary system drive is the 840pro, which I've been told don't
defrag and don't optimize. I was running a defrag on my other drives,
both of which are standard spindle drives, and got the message that
the ssd was not performing optimally and needed to be optimized.
What's up with this?

Also, on drives when accessing one of my spindle drives, one is a 3TB
the other is a 4TB, both SATA 6GBPS as is the ssd, when atempting to
access some directories sometimes access times are slow, other times I
get like 80 items, when in reality there are 300. A few moments later
the rest show up, just enough to be annoying. The spindle drives are
defragged. Could this be an indexing issue? It was also suggested that
the spindle drives might have been asleep when access was atempted. I
was not thinking this was doable.

For hardware anyone have any recommendations for an internal PCI-E
card with an internal 19-pin header? My front two ports are USB3 and
they have such a connector that the board does not have, a separate
card is needed.

Also, does anyone have or have used a 3.5 to 5.25 internal adapter?
Two pieces of hardware came out of my old case, they were in 3.5 in
bays, which this machine only has one. I need to put one of the
devices in to a 5.25 in bay.

Thanks.
Dave.
