drop box question
Keith S
When I installed the drop box program onto my
windows 8.1 machine, I did not get a window that would allow me to enter my
email account info and password. Now, when I log my system on, and check
the systray, it says that drop box is trying to connect to my
account.
Is there any way to enter my password and id into
the drop box program to allow my drop box account to be used on my
computer?
Thanks

Going back to the hospital
Carlos
Hello everyone,
I've finally given in and I'm going to the
emergency room tomorrow. These horrible reoccurring fevers have been
making my life miserable on and off for the last few weeks and the only
thing I can think it might be is the blood infection again. Sigh of
course, I've actually been feeling a bit better the last couple of days, but I'm
still going in because assuming it is the infection, I can't afford to just
ignore it. I'm hoping they won't make be stay and I'll be able to just do
the antibiotic treatments at home, but last time they wouldn't release me until
my blood tests came back negative which took almost two weeks. Even if
they decide to keep me, I'm taking a computer this time so hopefully I won't be
completely out of contact as I was during my previous stay. Although
it may depend on the status of internet service at this hospital. I would
assume Wi-Fi is free as it is with most of them, but they charged me for the
phone and television service which is apparently uncommon so who
knows. At least for television service. However, if there
are no hitches with internet service, I should still be here. I don't even
mind paying for Wi-Fi as long as it isn't too unreasonable. At worst I'm
guessing that even if they do charge, it would be part of the package
including the phone and television. Still, I thought I would just let
everyone know in case something unforeseeable happens and I do lose
contact.

Re: Trouble Solving Captchas with Webvisum

I doubt it. These new captchas work
differently. For example, instead of simply resolving a string of
characters, you might receive a query such as, "select all blue cars in the

So the question is, has there been an update that is causing a problem with JAWS? At least you can use it if you want with NVDA, which works as well with Chrome.

With NVDA I do not see this issue. It is a snap shot build.

But the first question is, "what version of Firefox are you using?" Webvism won't work in any version of Firefox newer than 52.x. If you are using a newer version, you can use a portable version of Firefox that is 52.x for solving captchas and the newest version, portable or installed, for other browsing. Re: good virus checker
Michael Boyd <mike122061@...>
Sounds like the pop-up message from “Microsoft” was malware itself. I have seen this before, and it definitely does not come from Microsoft. DO NOT call the 800 number. The chances are that your current antivirus in combination with Malware Bytes got rid of it. Should it come up again, call Microsoft support to remove it for you. If possible, they will copy the malware for analysis to try to determine from whom and where it came from. No need to install another security program.

Re: firestick with alexa
Michael Boyd <mike122061@...>
Hi Kathy,
I own 2 of the Amazon Fire TV Sticks, and I feel that they are the best product for streaming Video given the quality and price. The Fire Stick works great and comes with many apps that can be easily installed on the device. If you are a Amazon Prime member, then there of course are the Prime Video movies and shows available, and as many people are Netflix subscribers, it is easy to set up and use on the stick as well. There are apps provided by some of your local TV stations for viewing network shows, news and sports that they air. Alexa is great, and she works just like on an Echo. I often ask her to play specific types of music and what the weather is. I believe you would like the Fire Stick. Hth.

Re: some USB 3 questions
Michael Boyd <mike122061@...>
Here is what I found on the voltage and current output of the different USB ports. The wattage (power) can easily be calculated as per the formula shown:
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
"The USB 1.x and 2.0 specifications provide a 5 V supply on a single wire to power connected USB devices. A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and 150 mA in USB 3.0. A device may draw a maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) from a port in USB 2.0; 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0." As power is equal to current times voltage, all you have to do is multiply 5V with the current the device is drawing from the port. Michael
