A year or so ago, I heard that Braille Weather Underground was being
discontinued.  In fact for several months now, the forecast header has
been giving erroneous dates such as the weather for today under my zip
code is for January 31, 2015.

However, the forecast is somehow being updated.  That is to say that
ever since this anomaly, the weather forecast that is given as well as
some of the dates in the sub sections are all current and correct.

Does anyone know the official status of the braille Weather Underground
page?

Sad to say, it's the trend of things, giving away their or part of their
solution to lure you into their full suite.
Avast, avera, avg free edition all comes with antivirus solution but the
full suite of antivirus comes with more, like avast comes with web shield
protection which the free one don't.
Panda antivirus have its own fre edition call cloud antivirus, and comodo
have its own too.

Who say we must depend on review? I only depend on facts of things.
Trendmacro have its own bad record and it does not have free solution as far
as I know. And how all those source code of Symantec was release out to the
world for people to see and they also don't have free solution.

The reason being free antivirus was out there is so that its widely
installed on computers, so that their program or engine can send those
unknown mellicious code back to the lab which in the end benefit the paid
and the free ones. It's a win win solution.

In my opinion (and I've used a good many AV programs over the years),
there's none better than NOD32 by Eset. It's not free, but as a matter of
principle, I will not use free AV software regardless of how well it may be
recommended because I don't believe that a vendor that's giving their
program away has the same degree of skin in the game as a vendor who has to
produce a good product and generate revenue or go out of business. You can

Is there anything to be done when this kind of message pops up? This is a Win7 computer. I get that USB device not recognized, blah blah, device driver software not installed, blah blah message when I plug in this 2 tb drive. I seriusly hope it is a problem with the enclosure itself and not the drive, because the 2tb drive is almost full of goodies.
Unfortunately I don't see any screws or anything so I can open the enclosure up and pull out the drive to mount it directly. It looks like i'll have to break it open with a hammer or something. What fun! Wanton destruction.

I know you've mentioned using diskpart before and I'll be sure and note this down too, for future reference. Even though I can now seemingly use the drive, I'm a little weary to put things on it. haha
That's to bad, as these little gorilla drives are pretty neat and built like little tanks. Guess it gives me a reason to go out and purchase a larger one. lol

Then after the diskpart interface opens:

Yeah, a format is actually what initially helped me in retrieving what files I could from the drive, using Recuva. I had to use quick format of course, but once I'd set it back to using an NTFS filesystem, recuva was able to determine most of the files I had stored there and i was able to recover them. Now that the drive has been formatted, both using another quick format and also using the longer one that's not so quick, I can access media on the drive, it's just that along with the considerably slower transfer speeds that I was used to on this particular flash drive, things aren't being reported as they used to on it. I've also ran a test disk, but as far as I know, nothing out of the norm has shown up for the drive at all. Out of all the other pendrives I've tested since then, this specific one seems to be the only one that's acting strangely. As weird as it may be to believe, this is the very first time I've ever had a flash drive fail, so I'm not exactly used to what it should be like. lol

I'd originally thought that if it had been something beginning to fail in the hardware controller of the drive, or worse, something messing up in one of my USB ports that I would lose complete access to the drive, but getting even the slower access now has me wondering and a little confused. haha
I've made sure to check other drives using the same ports too and everything seems to be okay. I've even wondered if installing VMware could have something to do with it, do to the fact that it has installed drivers used for its USB support to the vms, but I've used the drive normally, even after I'd first installed it.
This weirdness with the drive just happened all of the sudden, so I wasn't sure if it was something I contributed to or just luck of the draw, perhaps.
I'm mainly glad that I was able to retrieve my truecrypt container and most everything else and probably wont use the drive afterwards to store anything worth while, but it certainly had me wondering about it, that's for sure.

Hey all,
Had a quick question about an issue I had with a USB key that I've had for a while now, that happened last night. The Flashdrive is a cheap one, made by some company called gorilla, but the design is really nice. It's an 8 gigabyte model, so I've been using it to store some of my more important notes and stuff.

I'd recently decided to create an encrypted Veracrypt file container on the drive, which has been working well for holding things like my banking information/passwords and alike. So, last night, I decided to add some information to the container and was unpleasantly surprised to see that the drive, when I'd tried to first access it from within explorer, wasn't working.

It originally didn't provide any errors, it was just taking a while to load and wasn't displaying any of the files stored on the drive. After about 30 seconds, I'd closed the window and tried to reopen it, thinking it was just some weirdness with the drive connecting. After trying to open it, it then gave me an error about not being able to locate the drive, even though the drive's letter was still showing under my computer's list. I once again disconnected and reconnected it and tried to access it and got an error that stated that the filesystem was unreadable. I then tried to access it from within the Talking PE, thinking that it was something that had changed on my normal installation and had the same results.

As a small side note, I was able to recover pretty much everything from the drive, using recuva, including my encrypted container, but now, when I access the drive through explorer, having had to format it to get at the filesystem with recuva, the drive's information seems different now. Not only does the transfer speed seem much slower, when I access it in the list of drive letters or through device manager, none of the original hardware information for the drive ever displays. when I look at another flash drive, say a sandisk, I at least have always been given some information on who makes the drive, etc. Now, with this one that went weird, everything is just strictly microsoft, with no other provider information.

I've tried checking to make sure it's nothing specific to the port I was trying to use, it's the same for all ports on my computer and the only other thing I've added here recently is the installation of VMWare player, which of course, has to install an extra driver for its USB support.

At this point, I'm thinking it's more a hardware problem with the flash drive itself, but I wasn't sure where to start checking so I could understand what was going on better.
I've looked around on google, but haven't been able to dig up anything that's quite accurate to this current situation, so wanted to ask.
