I provided a link to the news section, where you could have found the download link at the top of the page, but the below is a link to the direct download page. It has the free version and the pro version, which is the 28 version now. The free version, 27, is not as accessible. My guess is though that when the pro version hits 29 28 will be free.

hi,

I seriously hope for this reason that the winter games are over soon.

Google has put some sort of game or advert on the search page, that

laggs nvda, and my pc severely, and causes the browser or nvda to crash.

How do you guys manage this. Is there a way to perminently hide it.

Hello list
Usually I record from my hifi radio onto my pc when I am not at home. Every time I start my pc I have to unplug and replug the line in cable to be able to record. I tried to solve this problem but without any success. For quite a while I would not be able to use my right hand due to an operation and the position of my pc is such that I just can not succeed to unplug and replug with my left hand.. Now I am looking for an accessible portable or tabletop device which can record from an external source. Can someone recommend something?

Sorry to interrupt, but a quick question if I may? I have some documents that I’ve turned in to TXT files. Will these control plus alt plus 1 work for TXT documents to set up headings and the like?

Hi Nancy,

In short:

Highlighting: Hold down SHIFT and use the regular navigation keys (arrows, home, end, control+arrows etc) to move through your document.  As you move, the text will be selected.  If you are using NVDA, press NVDA+shift+up arrow (or in laptop keyboar layout use NVDA+shift+s) to read the selection.

Creating headings: Press control+alt+1 to make the current line heading 1, control+alt+2 for heading 2 and control+alt+3 for heading level 3.   After you type the line, when you press enter, the next line will be normal.  Otherwise, press control+shift+n to revert to normal text.

Lists: Press asterisk then a space to start a bulleted list.  a hyphen and a space will start a list with dashes or type 1 then a full stop and a space to start a numbered list. As you press enter, a new bullet will be created (or the next number) on the following line, ready to type the next item.  Press ENTER twice to finish the list.

If you found that useful, you may be interested in our Microsoft Word for NVDA training material, which is arguably the most comprehensive guide to using Word with a keyboard (and NVDA) there is: https://www.nvaccess.org/shop/

Kind regards

Quentin.

Yes, from my understanding you need to point at signs, people, traffic
signals etc, for it to provide any information. This might prove hit

has some residual vision left which would make it possible to point at
something or someone in the environment.
