Re: Windows 10 detected of virus in Virtual Recorder

If you have not  updated VR, then it's Defender's fault. Betcha a virus signature update changed something, and now VR is on its *hit list. You can mark it as a false positive if you know for sure VR is clean and if you can figure out a way to do so accessibly, which so far I have not.

Hello,

I have a question on the various Bluetooth profiles. What are A2DP,
Hands Free, and AVRCP? Which one is the one for phone call audio and
which one is the one that delivers media audio (music/talkback)?

Thanks.

Hi all,

Okay the password problem was solved by reinstalling and checking that box, but now strangely enough when I hit delete when highlighted on a message nothing happens.  Of course that should send that message to my deleted items folder but it doesn’t.  Any ideas?  Btw this on my laptop using a USB keyboard that’s plugged into it, and this is the only thing that doesn’t work with this setup.

Thank you very much for the key verification, but 1 last question.  My Windows / Start key to the right of the spacebar doesn't work, & the software isn't very accessible.  Do y'all any have tips on how I can get this key to start working the way the Windows / Start key on the left side does?  All help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks mooy moocho.

Dane’s list of keys seems to be complete to me.  I verified that the first key opens the web browser and the second the default email program.  The last five from right to left are volume up, volumn down, track ahed, track back and play/pause.

I still haven’t had a chance to find out what the others do, but mostly, they didn’t appear to do anything.  I’m guessing that you can program them somehow for specific functions.

I’ll ask someone at home tonight and will reply tomorrow.

Perhaps, Windows 10 still has the ability to check the disk for errors
and to fix them. Try going to the properties of your flash drive and
see if there is a Tools tab. If so, Error Checking should be there.
If you just want to recover files, you could try Recuva.

https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva/download

I just found another one from NCH. I haven't tried this one, but
their programs are usually accessible.

Best of luck,

New computer

Sugar

Hi all

I had to purchase a brand new computer due to my old computer biting the big one at last and gave up at once. It was 15 years old.

All of a sudden my ports stop working, it was not accepting my keyboard, headset or mouse.

I thought it was strange so I took it in to Office Depot and they said it was a system thing, so we bought a Lenovo? 64 and it had windows 10 built in.

It is also a touch screen not that I will use it but it is there, also a wireless keyboard/mouse and a lil camera that pops up and down on top of the screen.

There is no hard drive separate, it is all built in the screen and a cd/DVD rom built in the side as well.

It is a 8 g and 1 terabyte

Since there was no outlook I purchased the Windows Office Pro business/home 2016

So I had to come home and install Jaws 17, it is what I have because I don’t have the funds to purchase 2018 at the moment so 17 will do for now. Smile

Anyways, my question is for outlook 2016

When inputting my contacts (because all of my contacts were not saved so I have to rebuild my contacts(crying out loud face((I hear the name of my contact and then (not present( right beside it, what does that mean?

Just wondering

Also I need instructions on adding the BBC line again please?

.

Also does anyone have any friendly tips on making my pc a bit more blind friendlier?

On the upgraded windows 10 that I did with the link from Microsoft dis., there was something called “this PC( it is not on this one it is now back to control panel

They were able to save my data so that’s a good thing.

It is a little different from the other windows 10 not sure how or why but it just is.

As I am trying to get use to this one right when I was starting to get use to the other one. Oh well.

Well thanks for hearing me out.

Hello all,

I’ve just been on the phone with Spectrum trying to set up my road runner address in the free version of OE 6 for windows 7, and I was putting all of the settings in correctly but when I’d try to check mail I was getting an error saying that my password was rejected.

The agent I was speaking to said that since all of the settings are correct that I shouldn’t be having this problem and she suggested calling Microsoft to see if they can do some trouble shooting, but before calling Microsoft accessibility I wanted to ask here and see if there’s any settings in OE that might be causing the password to be rejected.  I have recently tried reinstalling OE, both by reinstalling over the top of what I already had installed and doing a fresh install, and I remember at least one checkbox that I wasn’t sure if it should be checked or unchecked although I don’t remember what that was now.

Thanks for any suggestions.  Btw I know my password is correct because I have the account plugged into OE classic and it’s working, I just prefer OE 6 if I can get that working again.

Hi Rhonda,

See if the steps below will get your settings straightened out.

Below are the steps for checking or unchecking the group messages by conversation option.
1. Press Alt +V, for the view menu.
2. Press enter on current view, or press the letter V.
3. Arrow up to group messages by conbersation, & press enter to check or uncheck this option.

Pressing enter will check or uncheck the option & will also take you out of the view menu.

the way most people accidentally end up with the group messages by conversation checked is by pressing control + H. This is not a toggle. It will group the messages by pressing this keystroke, but will not ungroup them. the only way to ungroup them is thru the View menu.
If you go to Tools / Options / control + tab to the Read tab, / you can tab to Automatically expand grouped messages & check this box to automatically expand messages that are collapsed by the group messages by conversation option.
