Hello:

I have an old Braille note in good condition. If you want it, I would let you have it for cost of shipping. I am guessing about $20.

Hi, for frozen food I place the box in a zip lock bag and make a label,
using my dimo tape. I leave a bit of space blank before and after the
Braille, so I can staple it to the opened bag. Then I zip it. This allows
me to reuse it for the next box of this product.

Hope this helps.

finding a label on a frozen bagg is a challenge.
some people use key labels to fit the penfriend label inside and rapp it

so you can allso re-use them.

things that go in the freezer but I doubt that the freezer is the only
place this would happen so has anybody else experienced this and is there a
solution?  I was thinking of putting something either on or around the bag

Thanks for any ideas.

Stopping automatic Windows updates?

Vicky Vaughan <vrvaughan63@...>

Hi List, Is there any way to tell Windows 10 to never update?

Just last week my windows 10 did one of those, “Critical”, updates and my Jaws 2018 hasn’t been the same since.

I now am often getting only parts of words being said, which is completely incomprehensible.  Do any of you have any suggestions?

Many Thanks!

Streaming Amazon Prime TV?

Vicky Vaughan <vrvaughan63@...>

Hello List.  On a Windows 10 desk top computer using Jaws 2018, I have just started with streaming Star Trek DS9 from Amazon Prime TV. While the page does have links for the individual episodes, I have not found anyway to control the viewing.  I cannot find Pause or rewind, or anyway to jump to a specific segment, such as the spot after where the first commercial would have been  and the second spot for a commercial.

Have any of you found a way to do these things?

Thanks so much!

Sincerely, Vicky

My daughter has an iPhone 8, her sister disabled the phone by incorrectly entering the passcode several times now she can’t get into the phone.

It isn’t synced with iTunes, and the article on apple support says to press quickly and release both volume buttons and hold the side switch until you

see a recovery option.

I am unsuccessful at this, so how can I resolve the issue?

Michael, I believe what Chief Lenron is trying to explain is
this: In Android land, when Google pushes out an update, it DOES NOT come directly to you unless you happen to have a Google device such as the Pixel for example.
With all other phones, getting an update when it is pushed out depends largely on what the manufacturer of your device and/or carriers choose to do. Right now, Android is on Version 8.1, and it's named Oreo--love those cookies? Save some for me though I don't really eat cookies!!

Because your phone is a BUDGET PHONE, chances are it won't get any updates either from the manufacturer, or from your service provider. I don't know for sure if this is true; I didn't find a manual for the phone I suspect you have and, as such, I can't predict whether or not it will get any new OS updates. Typically, OS updates in Android land is a two-year process; but there are MONTHLY SECURITY updates.
I'm still trying to DIG UP more info about your device and it's getting quite a bit hard to do.

Sincerely,

Hello;
not exactly sure what you've done or not done, also, not sure if the other
accounts you speak of are gmail accounts,

article
Allowing less secure apps to access your account

Google may block sign-in attempts from some apps or devices that do not use
modern security standards. Since these apps and devices are easier to break
into, blocking them helps keep your account safe.

Some examples of apps that do not support the latest security standards
include:

list of 3 items
The Mail app on your iPhone or iPad with iOS 6 or below The Mail app on your
Windows phone preceding the 8.1 release Some Desktop mail clients like
Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird

Change account access for less secure apps

To help keep Google Apps users' accounts secure, we may block less secure
apps from accessing Google Apps accounts. As a Google Apps user, you will
see a "Password incorrect" error when trying to sign in. If this is the
case, you have two options:

list of 2 items
Option 1: Upgrade to a more secure app that uses the most up to date
security measures. All Google products, like Gmail, use the latest security
measures.
Option 2: Change your settings to allow less secure apps to access your
account. We don't recommend this option because it might make it easier for
someone to break into your account. If you want to allow access anyway,
follow these
steps:
list of 2 items nesting level 1
1. Go to the
"Less secure apps" section
in My Account.
2. Next to "Access for less secure apps," select Turn on. (Note to Google
Apps users: This setting is hidden if your administrator has locked less
secure app account access.) list end nesting level 1 list end

If you still can't sign in to your account, the "password incorrect" error
might be caused by a different reason.

Adrien, if you're reading your GMail in Outlook 365--hope I got that right
since I am NOT running the Office 365 suite--you need to GRANT THAT SECURITY
ACCESS on your GMail account! Google is probably BLOCKING IT because it
believes that it's a security risk when you use a third-party mail reader to
grab your mails from GMail.

And, yes, you can only have either iMAP or POP selected, you can't have
both. All these changes you should be able to make in your GMail settings
on the web.

This so-called Ray L5 phone is already obsolete off the
factory floor. Why in this day and age would a new device
like this one run Lollipop, Android 5.1? Why would it only
come with a 900 mAh battery? And then it costs $645? If
this is NOT A RIP-OFF, I am curiously interested in knowing
what constitutes one!

We've been discussing off and on a 3G phone that costs about
$75 with even better specs: 16GB internal storage compared
to 8 for Ray L5; 2GB RAM compared to 260MB RAM for the Ray
L5?

Whether or not this Ray L5 has tactile buttons, in my view,
it shall be a precious waste of scarce pennies to purchase
the device. 100% of what it claims it can do I already do
on a phone I purchased in the mainstream with better battery
power, internal storage, and an SD Card slot into which I
can insert a 400GB SD Card. At any rate, I won't touch it
with a 0-inch pole!

Re: sharing a flip phone for the blind running Android.

Actually, the top one could be for closer to $800, which is bad enough, because they have an introductory offer of THANKS10 with first purchase. They have, what they call a basic for $599, which would be $539. I would have to know more to consider the difference. That is a whole lot of money to pay for a phone, no longer than they last. Who knows, in six years time, we'll probably have 6g, then what? Another phone.

Hi all,

I don't think we can give any advice unless he tells us what he wants in his notetaker. They range from the Orbit Reader 20, which is basic at 449.00 to the El-Braille at something over 5,500. Humanware and Hims products are certainly in the running, but so are the El-Braille, B2G, and the one from IRIE-AT whose name I forget.

Dearest sis, the likes of the Amazon Echo, Amazon Dot,
Apple's HomePod, Google Home and JBL Link are smart
speakers! After setting them up, just use your precious
voice to give them commands and, like a good child or
