Whatever you can do with a touchscreen, that you will be able to get done on
the Blackberry KeyOne! Yes, there will be a LEARNING CURVE and some minor
adjustment, but that's about all.

Wow, I didn't know long distance phone bills still exist! I haven't paid
one in 500 centuries lately. And I do make a LOT OF LONG DISTANCE calls.
International calls do cost something, but for a dollar I can talk to
Edinburgh, Scotland until I get too sick to keep on talking!

10 computer

Hello everyone, me again. I have about had it with jaws. I
am a former window eyes user and have a netbook with xp on
it and have a new laptop running windows 10 and jaws
(current version).

I am absolutely lost in windows 10 with jaws. I have saved
several emails which I wish to respond to using the windows
10 machine, but whereas on the xp machine using window eyes,
I can find where I am to exit browse mode and type my name
or email address or address into the edit field, this is not
stated by jaws. I do not know if I am filling the email out
correctly or not. And when I think I am on a link or what
not, then I hit enter on the link and the page refreshes,
but nothing has changed.

Also in emails, on my xp machine, I can hit tab and it will
jump to various links in the email. It does not seem so in
windows 10 mail using jaws.
Hitting tab just takes me down a bit in the email.

I have checked the jaws disk I got when I "ported" over from
windows xp when FS bought AI squared and there is no
tutorial on the disk. So, may I ask, how in the world does
anyone learn how to use jaws? Never mind the total changes
to the layout and useage of window 10 from xp.

There are thinks from emails i would like to interact with
but on my xp machine, the pages are suddenly not able to be
found.

Not to mention that my new laptop seems much much slower
than my xp machine which is running a 1 Gh processor with 1
gig of ram. There are huge lags from when I type something
on the keyboard to when jaws actually voices the command I
sent to it on my windows 10 computer.

can something like Mcavy anti virus slow a system down that
much?

And how do I remove programs from the windows 10 computer?
I would like to remove many of the factory default garbage
that HP pre-installed on my system.

I know it's a lot and I know I'm all over the place, but I
am basically a brand new computer user with windows 10 and
jaws.

Thanks for any help.

Keith

You will either have to lower the setting for the music or raise the microphone setting.  If you don't get more information, I can experiment and see what settings would do these things.  I think you may need to change one or the other settings in the play settings, not in the recording settings.

Hi all,

I am running windows ten, and jaws 18. I use virtual recorder to record my show on the global voice, but it isn’t doing what I want it to do. In the virtual recorder program, you can check sound card, which lets you use your microphone, . the second choice is both, which is supposed to let you use your microphone, plus what you hear, which means if you are recording a music file, you should hear that also. Only trouble is, that doesn’t work in windows ten apparently. If someone is using virtual recorder, can you help me here? I want to be able to use the choice that says both. Any ideas on how to fix this?

One more thing. When trying to record music, the music is always too loud. The volume setting for the microphone are great, but I can’t get music to sound right. Sorry for the long winded email. Jim

There is a guy named John Harden in Florida. I don't know
how close you could come by Googling

Braille Writer repair, John Harden

I don't have a Braille writer now, but did check my file to
be sure, but I do not have any more information. He is a
dependable person.

Best regards,

Carolyn

Do you mean electronic, I.E. the Cranmer modified Perkins; or the electric Perkins?  They are quite different.

Re: Blackberry.

Carolyn Arnold

A candy bar phone is one that does not close, has a flat
surface and buttons on it, and in this case, of course, a
screen.

Best regards,

Carolyn

Sis Carolyn asked:

"here is one thing that I'd like to know about the KEYone.
That is, does it have a touch telephone dial?"

The Priv and KeyOne are Blackberry phones that incorporate
both a touchscreen and a regular keyboard with the usual
buttons. Use whichever one catches your fancy and you'll
achieve the same results. I should add that the Priv has a
SLIDE OUT keyboard, the KeyOne is like a candy bar.
