Not unless you tell us what e-mail program you are using.  You should always give information about the relevant program when you ask for help.  As I recall, you use Outlook.  But people aren't going to necessarily know, if they are newer members or remember, what programs this or that member uses.

Re: Accessible File Explorer Alternative

Marten Post Uiterweer

Joe,

I am using Xplorer2. A explorer replacement with two panes, so you see
two folders on the screen.
Tabkey will switch panes.
With f5 you can copy or f6 move. You can copy/move from pane to pane.
The program has more options for searching and the searchresults will be
displayed in a ceperate explorer like window.
It wil l call this a scrab container.

You can also place files in this scrabcontainer window. The files does
not to be from the same folder.
You can copye these files from the scab container.

You can find more information about this program at the link below.
The program is not free. There is also a lite version that is for free
or you can try the pro version for a 14 or 30 days.

I am using it for maybe 10 years now and like it.

And the windows file explorer is also good, but this program has more
options and I can do my work more quickly.

I have made a script that will make it a bit nicer in xplorer2 so if you
will try the program, then I can send you these scripts.

Kind regards, marten

Here, please consider experimenting a bit. Here's why I said that. My cell
phone is forever in my pocket, chest or coat pocket for the most part. I
don't let my phone ring: It's permanently set on vibrate! So, I'm weird in
that regard.

Here's a suggestion: When you receive a call and your phone begins to ring,
how about pressing Volume Up repeatedly as it rings? This ought to be a
quick way of setting your desired ringer volume.

You also wrote:

"2. Am I correct in thinking that swiping right with one finger will answer

Is this something that you know about?"

I am a Samsung devotee as I once stated; each manufacturer does implement
call answering differently. Try a swipe right with two fingers, if that
does not work try a swipe up.

Consumer Cellular did demo how to answer calls on the Moto E4, however, the
demo only works for folks with a pair of eyes hence the reason why I'm not
including the YouTube site address here.

Yes, it's absolutely OK to END CALL with the power button if your device
supports such a setting. I end calls this way too and it's grand to know
that Moto has a similar implementation.

I didn't quite understand why you had to call Consumer Cellular regarding
your iPhone. Technically, since both the iPhone and the Moto E4 are GSM
phones, all you needed to do is SWAP your SIM card from one and insert into
the other and there shouldn't be any difference. I don't understand why
there was a need for an activation or deactivation of any kind. Did
Consumer Cellular have to do any special reprogramming? I use an MVNO
service carrier as well and I've never had that happen.

It was thoughtful of Ms. Dauther to stop by and check on you. You should
have told her I came by to STEAL all the Jambalaya without waiting for it to
be served! I bet she'll get a good kick out of that!! Anyway, do give her

Hi Group,

In the most recent e-mail from Amazon Echo 'What's New With Alexa' dated
April 20, 2018, they say you can make directly dialed phone calls to most
numbers in the US, Canada and Mexico. Upon further research, you have to
enter the numbers into your Alexa App with a smart phone. I am
wondering--since you can do most configuration of Amazon Echo devices via
the Alexa website: alexa.amazon.com, is there a way to enter the contact via
this site? I don't see it as apparent. I do not have a smart phone and
would be interested in setting this feature up via the web if possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

Doug, it sounds from the discussion that you are wanting to copy some lines
from document A to document B, correct? Document A can be a word doc or a
.txt doc or even a web page. Here are the steps. Modify them to suit the
situation.

1. place both documents open on your computer. You can switch between them
using alt-tab. This assumes you're using Word, but it works the same for a
browser or wordpad or whatever. Place both documents open on your computer.

2. Go to document A.

3. Select the lines you want from this document by using shift and the
arrow keys. This tells the computer that it should perform its action on
only the text you've selected.

4. Press ctrl-c. You should hear something like "copied to clipboard".

5. Switch to document B. Go to where you want to paste the lines in,
remembering that the paste will insert your text above the cursor, shoving
it down the page.

6. Press ctrl-v to paste your text at the point where you want it to go.

Voila! C'est toot.
