accessible printers..?

Jim Wohlgamuth

Hi there FOLKS!

As the subject states I am looking for an accessible printer.  I would prefer a Hewlet Packard.  What I am wanting is a printer/scanner/copier if that is possible.  If the unit has a fax built-in I don't care but I probably won't use that feature much, but who knows what the future might bring..? Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks Much! And Have A Great Day! de

From Mack if it's the same one I have which does not have a turntable. Here are the buttons from top to bottom starting with one and ending at zero. this row is on the rite side. pre-sets. 1, 10 seconds. 2, 20 seconds. 3, 30 seconds. 4, 45 seconds. 5, one minute. 6, 90 seconds. 7, 2 minutes. 8, 3 minutes. 9, 4 minutes. 0, 5 minutes. I primarily use those settings. now the left side from the bottom up. start, stop, time entry, which is a big jumble of dots. to set your own time that pre-sets don't cover, press, time entry and 2, 3, 0, for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, press start. 10, 30, 10 minutes 30 seconds. of course press start. this next procedure requires sighted help. above time entry, there are 3 unlaveled buttons for power settings. the middle one is 50%. I recommend you have a sighted person to place a piece of tape on it. that's really all you need. I have not used this function yet. however this may work, press 50%, time entry, enter your time, press start. after the unit stops, I believe it defaults back to default setting. You have to open and close the door to be able to do more stuff. the fan runs for one minute after you open and close the door. It looks just like a microwave you might see in a 7-11. H T H.

Hi,

A few months ago or perhaps longer, on this list or another tech list,
someone mentioned a Panasonic microwave with a braille touch panel. I
ordered it and it arrived today. I am at a loss as to some of the functions
of this Microwave because of my lack of proficiency with Braille which is
still at the beginning level. I had a message from a Netbat66 but I can't
locate it at this time.

The manual I downloaded is not very accessible. Even with Jaws OCR.

I was wondering if Netbat66 or someone else who has this 1000 watt
Panasonic
microwave could give me a rundown on what the ten Braille buttons are from
top to bottom. And how to cook two things. First something simple. Like
just
something for like 1 minute and 10 seconds. And second something for like 9
minutes on high and 12 minutes on half power.

I am pretty sure the bottom two buttons are C and S and stand for clear and
start but I may be wrong.

I also saw some foam glued to a vent on the bottom of the unit directly in
front of the right front leg. I removed it with some difficulty because I
couldn't imagine foam being there for a reason. I hope that was not an
error
on my part.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's possible to watch ituneitunes TV shows with android phones. You could always buy netflix, or hulu, and watch your shows that way. Or you could buy a youtube TV subsription, and see if your shows are there.

I am setting up a windows 10 computer for a friend. He uses Winamp for playing audio files. Does Winamp run under windows 10? If so, what version is best? If it matters, he will be using NVDA as his screen reader.

Thanks,

George

Nope. Australian. I at least can tell by the accent, but that aside, I believe he also works for an blind/disability Australian organization.

Hmm. I recall my friend in Australia telling me David Woodridge was British when he was telling me about his helpful iPhone audio demonstrations.

Hi all,

No, he's from Australia, not Austria. Austria is southeast of Germany
in Europe. They speak German there. Australia is in the south
Pacific. It's a country and a continent. <sigh> Guess with all the
computers and cell phones and what-not people don't have time to learn
geography any more. Just get on a plane and trust that the pilot will
know where he's flying.

how to use the orbitreader?I didn’t purchase it brand knew, so in

file in the beasts but I don’t even know how to access that. I’m
completely knew to this thing. I just know how to turn it on! Lol
