That happened to the client I'm working with. In his case, it wasn't the iPhone, it was the apple "TV second generation. He can no longer use it to stream his baseball because the ios is too old.

Has anyone had problems when you listen to MLB?
I found out that I had to upgrade my IOS version above 11 to listen to games.
I upgraded my iPOD to the latest IO version, but still having problems listening to games from my IPHONE or IPOD.
I have no problems listening to games on my computer, so I know I'm registered, but the phone that had a IOS version less then 11 would get a error message my error message is can't listen to this stream.
I've talked to MLB support and told me that listening to games from a device which has any IOS lower then 11can't listen.
After upgrading I still have the same issue.

Any ideas?

The app is free so download it and then it will ask you when you open open it to put in your user name and password associated to your MLB subscription. The same user and password you used on the internet page.

Then the app is really easy to use.

I have been using it for years and it is totally accessible with v o.

Hi Group,

I am slowly learning my way around the iPhone. Using Safari, I have been able to tune into radio stations and read complex web pages and the like. I do have a question about my proprietary streams--namely MLB and Tune In Premium. I am able to get to the sites, log in and click on a stream. On these 2 sites, I am then redirected to the Apple App store and instructed to download the app for each site. I haven't done this because I am already paying for a subscription to each of these services. Won't the iPhone or the provider allow you to simply log in and play the stream--just like using Firefox or Edge in Windows? Must you use the app to listen? And how much more will this cost?

Thanks for any help.

Hi. The apps are free, as far as I know, and the interface is usually much easier than the web.

Jaws problem

Kay Malmquist

Hi again,
I have a Lenovo thinkcentre and I have a couple of weird Jaws questions.  I haven't run in to this in a long time but for some reason when it is reading in a dialogue box for example, it will read everything and if you tab it just keeps reading everything even if you press control.  Another thing is that it isn't reading how many items are in a list view.  Even if there are more than one thing it will say, one of one.  Any ideas on these two?  Thanks much.

Hi Allen,

The way I would do it is to log in to the web interface, create it there and then it should appear on the iPhone.  Be sure that IMAP is selected on the web interface.

Every time I try to use Chrom I am asked if I want to browse as guest or add a person. How can I change this?  It didn’t used to happen.

Um, not really. Emojis can be used both on the phones and currently on the computer as well.
Specially if you're using Windows 10, NVDA has a good way of dealing with these little guys. Just press the command to bring up the emoji keyboard (Windows+., or Windows+; or yet Windows+, - I don't remember the right command right now) then use tab and left/right arrows to navigate between the categories and the options for that category.
You may also be interested in an add-on called Emojis (itself). This add-on allows you to choose an emoji from a list and get it copied to your clipboard so you can paste it wherever you want to.
If you need the link for this add-on please let me know.

Cheers,

Hi George,

I am very new at this iPhone business.  According to instructions, I did the following.  I went to the app store on the iPhone. I went to the search tab.  I typed in MLB at bat.  (I also did this with my Tune In Premium subscription by typing in Tune In Premium.)  I got a page that listed the app. Under its description, I double tapped the 'get' button. I got a screen portion that said 'loading.'  After a few minutes, the screen returned to normal in the app store.  I then went to settings, account, purchased apps and double tapped. The message came up that this is where new and newly purchased apps would be.  However after both apps were supposedly downloaded, I got the message no apps present.

What did I do wrong?

Hi Allen,

Open the mail app. Tap the “back” button until you get to the list of all the mailboxes. In the upper right is an “Edit” button. Tap on this. In the lower left you will find “new mailbox.” Tap on this. At the top you will find an edit box in which she can give the New mailbox a name. Swipe once & you will hear “mailbox location.” Swipe once & you will find a button. Tap on this. A list of mailboxes will be displayed. Choose where she wants the new mailbox i.e Yahoo. Tap “save” in the upper right.

USB Dectalk question

Kay Malmquist

Hi all,
I have a USB DecTalk and I have a question.  Does it run on the 9 Volt battery or does it need a power supply?  I don't think I ever got one with it.  If it needs the power supply does anyone know what voltage it needs?  Now for the most important question.  When I go in to Braille and synthesizer manager, Dectalk is not in there.  What do I do about that?  Thanks for the help.

Some phone plans have caller ID and call waiting included in their plans and some charge  an additional charge. If you have Caller ID and Call waiting The Panasonic phone only voices Caller ID when you are not  already on the line. All incoming calls are logged into the phones screen and a sighted person can scroll down and see who called.

I don't think most "cable companies" or other phone handlers provide for call_waiting_id, and you can tell if it is available on your phone line if you get a high pitched beep with the call waiting tone.

I gather that you can find, at times, a caller ID unit that was made years ago on E-bay that has this feature, but, as I said, I haven't heard of any new products with that ability for years.

Re: cordless landline phone with talking caller id?

I would too, but that is visual on a screen.

One thing with an iPhone, and I would imagine also with Android is you can hear on your phone caller ID announcement, but your person on the other end does not. Also, of course, you can go to recent calls and check all of your calls.

Best regards,

Carolyn

Hello all,
The problem I have found with these phones is that there is no way to review the caller ID. If you don’t here it or you have been gone you won’’t know who has called. I would love for there to be one of these handsets you can review the caller ID with.

on the iPhone you use "at-bat" to handle all broadcasts. If you're paying the $2.99 per month or so, you'll get the audio of either home or away broadcasts. I've never attempted to use the iPhone and Safari to listen to my broadcasts because of the convenience of at-bat.
