I am not a big fan of outlook. Played with it just a bit. However, love it Simple. So therefore, a fan of outlook express. Especially since that is what I have used all along. Even modified my win 7 system so that I could use windows mail.
So was just wondering what alternatives there are for windows 10 when It comes to email. I know about thunderbird and wlm. Still looking for advice and opinions about them. As well as other programs.

Hi Brian:aye am using Versacheck X1 Gold 2015
. I have had this program for about 10 years and am used to it. I had to upgrade when I got Windows 7.
I know there are those who have had some issues with it, but, for me, it has been very accessible.
I had sighted assistance setting it up, but it is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.
You can program in all your regular deposits and withdrawals and it keeps a check register for you.
Now that I have most of my bills paid by auto-pay and 'bill pay' with my checking account, I don't write very many checks anymore, but still need it a few times a year.
Let me know what you decide.
Good luck,
Holly

Dear Holly: I also would like to know which cheque-printing program you are using. I can buy Commercial Safety Paper at a Paper Merchant and have enough cheque blanks for 2,000 cheques. Sounds like a good program. About all you will not have are the MMICR encoding along the bottom of the cheque with Bank, Brranch, Account number && amount information. Brian K. With all the online payment options available now, I only have to write one or two checks a year.
However, if you are not into doing that, there are check guides available.
I, myself, have a check-printing program on my computer. When setting up the program, you scan your signature into the program and it even prints your signature on the checks that it prints. You use only blank check paper, so very secure that way. No checks laying around with your bank info.

Asking for an

I have always used Pop 3 with my comcast account but
thinking of switching to IMap. With thunderbird, is it possible to create your
folders on the client or do you have to create them on the ComCast web site as
with Gmail? I hate doing anything on the web site.
If using IMap, can someone tell me what the port names and numbers are for

Oh I forget to answer the other question you just asked.
So here it goes.
Yes it's perfectly possible to create folders within Thunderbird without
needing to involve your email provider's
webpage. I believe it's also mentioned on this
"cheatsheet" :)

Abbie,
It actually helped a lot.
Sorry for the late answer. I'm with many, many emails to read due to changes I did on my Thunderbird.
I now have folders to each list and well, I'm still with some lists to read about :)
Trouble with removing headers on a forwarded message is, this info is all on tables and even removing the lines, NVDA still reports the existence of the tables now with all blank lines.
Anyway, as Gene suggested (don't remember if it was here or on another list) I'm copying all the content from a message I want to forward, pasting it into Notepad, removing all I want to, copying again from there and pasting the new edited content into the message.
A bit of a hard work, but it seems the only way to go. :(
Cheers,
Marcio

Abbie,
It actually helped a lot.
Cheers,
Marcio

You can delete the header in a forwarded message the same way you would delete other text. To add a CC or BCC, after typing the To recipient into that field, press Enter, and another address field will appear. Press Shift plus Tab, and you'll find a drop-down list containing the CC and BCC options. I hope this helps.

Re: Forwarding Messages and BCC-ing address on Thunderbird
I keep wanting to check out Thunderbird just in case WLM ever fails to run
in win 10. So could you please send that document to me? Thanks.

Dear Carolin,
I just sent you an email with what I said I was going to see if I could get
and such.
I hope this can be useful for you :)
Any doubts, questions or whatever, please let me know.

Dear Carolyn,
I don't have any tutorial regarding Thunderbird, as for me, it's quite
intuitive and one can learn with time and using it.
Actually, I saw one a while ago that may well meet your needs. I will see
if I can get it back and send to you.

Hi Mike. If you have the relevant info and fill it up correctly,
Thunderbird will usually then automatically set the correct
configuration for you. However, and for your general info, the
Imap protocol usually uses the standard 993 port. Cheers!

There are more things you can do as well.
After you've
placed your start marker with the [ (left bracket) key, you can
also: Control+C to copy the selected part, Control+X to cut, and to
paste the selected part in to it's own file, use Control+C to copy, then press
Control+P, which will place what you've selected in to it's own separate
file.

it has been a while, but when I used to use it, if I remember

to mark where you want to stop selecting. You can press Ctrl t to trim the
parts that are not selected.
That's all I can remember.

Hi Troy.
You can also press insert Spacebar, followed by the letter
T, to enter table reading mode. Then, if you just want to
read through the columns and rows you can use the arrow keys
without needing to hold control and alt.
Just
press escape to leave table reading mode when you are done.
Thanks Mike, this will help a lot.

[TechTalk] table reading commands in jaws
Hi all,
What are the commands for reading tables in jaws? I've never
had to
read tables, but I just joined a fantasy baseball league
where all of
the info seems to be in table form and I especially need to
know how to
move from column to column. Any other commands I need to
know will be
appreciated though.
Thanks.

Hello list, I was wondering if anyone has or could point me to a tutorial for OpenTween? I’m a TW-Blue user with Jaws on the PC, but wanted to give OpenTween a spin. Installing and whatnot was easy enough, but … The interface is rather kind of funky. The help documentation as much as there is any is also really kind of rough. Thanks, Cristóbal
