So, Once in Chrome, press CTRL+Shift+O, This would bring up the
bookmark manager. once there, you can press space on the organize
bookmarks options & then, chose the desired option with the help of
arrow keys & do the needful.

hope, it helps.

there is a firefox.exe file in the bin folder I believe.  When I hit enter on it it opened a window but then firefox crashed, like it usually does on my computer.

Have you found an exe file that looks as though it might run the program such as Firefox.exe?  Are you sure this isn't a portable version you can run by just running the exe file?

Since it’s a zip file, that is suggestive.

HI, I wanted to install a slightly older version of firefox and went to the directory pub URL and found the version I wanted to download.

I clicked on the 64 bit version of windows firefox and saved it to my computer.

Unzipped it into it's own folder and then tried to find the setup or install .exe file.

None seems to be there.

Any suggestions?

Re: iCloud

Hi Janet,

I some how had a bunch of pictures that were taken on my phone before voice over was turned on.

and I was hitting the camera button by mistake I figure.

good to know if someone does need these pictures which get backedup automatically can be a bit of a help.

So I deleted a lot of pictures and now I'm back to using a gig or so right now.

I guess it's good to check the drive to help with this matter.

Thanks.

Hi Karim,

I am also having the same problems, and I am also getting emails from Apple telling me I’ve used up more than half my iCloud storage, and they said I could upgrade, but I shouldn’t have to pay to have more storage space, because I don’t use that much to begin with.  I can’t even imagine that!  I was at an Apple store last week, and the Apple rep seen in my iCloud storage 3.1gb of space has been used, but with my personal apps that I’ve downloaded is not even 1gb, and my phone is a 64 gb.  The Apple rep told me he doesn’t use the iCloud on his phone to back up because each time my phone is plugged in, it isn’t only charging because it is also backing up to the Cloud, and each time my phone is backed up, the iCloud saves all those times of backing up, but this just doesn’t sound right to me!  The rep recommend that I use iTunes on my pc to keep everything backed up, but I think iTunes is pretty flaky, so I don’t bother with it.  You can check your iCloud storage by going to settings, double tap on your name, look for iCloud, and double tap on that, you can double tap on manage storage, and you will see the apps and how much space they are taking up on your phone.  I’m not sure which phone you’re using though, but I’m using the XR phone, so it might work on your phone as well.

Janet

I don't know what address you mean. I'm not sure if I know
enough to help further other than to suggest an experiment
you might not want to try. It might be more trouble than
its worth. You could try setting up an account with
thunderbird and just sending mail to that person from
whatever address you want, one you use now, assumedly, to
see if she receives it. You wouldn't download mail with
that program, you would just send messages to the person.
You would then know if there is a problem between Outlook

makes any sense.

As I tried to make clear, but I may not have, I wasn't trying to give you a hard time.  I suspect that even many people who back up quite a bit of material don't necessarily back up every exe file they download from the Internet and may want to reuse.  You have to be fanatical.

I didn't assume.  You didn't have the exe.  You can't assume programs or anything else will remain available.

Also, I'm addressing anyone else following the thread.  If you aren't fanatical about backing up everything you don't want to lose, you're going to lose some or all of what you have at some point.

This link leads to a page with earlier versions of the program going back to as far as 4x, and perhaps further, I didn't check to see what the earliest version available is.  I believe this site is safe.  However, you may want to wait for confirmation from others.  I believe I checked but it was perhaps two years ago and after all this time, I'm not sure.

my issues with switch is the version. :) I bought one, but it is not up to date with they currently produce, so since I had a computer crash and don't have the earlier "paid for version" they won't let me continue to use it since I can't download an earlier version their site. I had bought something like 5.60, but they are up to the sevens now.

Hi Janet.  I rather suspect it's because the software detected that you had used a trial version before, and so it based it's info on the footprints left by it's trial cousin, as it were, on your system.  You can of course clear traces of the previously installed Switch trial, but I wouldn't recommend it as it would be dealing with registries and such, not worth the risk and bother.  Then again, you could reformat your system and do a clean install, but again, unless you are needing to do that, it's not worth the bother.  Switch is a fantastic converter, and I think for what it can potentially do, the price is worth it.  I paid for my version and have no regrets.  Cheers!

2GB for stereo at 44,100Hz 16 bit, if mono it is twice the recording time. If you use 22,500Hz 16 bit mono you can record up to 13 hours. If it is a broadcast such as a sporting event, 22,500Hz 16Bit is quite adequate. 44,100Hz 16 bit mono will give you to 20000Hz frequency response.

On the 16 GB System, I can get over 6 hours.

I think Gold Wave defaults to saving recordings in the WAV format, which
might have something to do with my problem.  I think if the file is over
4 GB in size, Gold Wave may have an issue.  I believe 4 GB is the size
limit for the WAV format.

But, for what ever reason, the system with 16 GB of RAM seems to work

I would say you're at or very close to the minimum ram and CPU speed to run the latest and upcoming versions of windows 10.  4 GB of ram is usually sited as the minimum for windows 10 and 8 GB is preferred.  If you have a use for windows 7 until support ends for it next year, you might roll back, otherwise, I'd consider a computer upgrade if your budget will stand it.
