Reading in coming Email Addresses in Thunderbird

Dave

Hello,

I am still a New User of Thunderbird, and so have yet to figure a few things out.

There are times when I receive an Email, and I wish to read, character by character the Email Address of the Sender.

Even to Copy and then Paste in into an Email to be sent back.

I have attempted to use the JAWS Cursor, but I can not get the Jaws Cursor to read anything.

At least not while having an Email open.

Can any one give me some clues as how to get this Address info?

Grumpy Dave

Hi Troy,

I don't have a Windows 10 here so this is off the top of my head.
1. Press, Windows key + I, tab to, System, and press enter.
2. Right arrow to, Updates & Security, and press enter.
3. Tab once or twice to a list of updates and arrow up / down to see what updates are available
4. You can try pressing on the updates or tabbing to see other options or, switch to the Touch Cursor, Shift + Numpad plus / PC cursor to get more information.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

Take care.  Mike.  Sennt from my iBarstool.  Go Dodgers!
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

Hi all,

I received a notification from windows 10 last night about driver
updates, but after installing drivers in a previous version of windows
years ago and having some trouble I decided not to install the update
right then. I left my laptop on all night so the update wouldn't install
without my knowledge when I shut down, but this morning when I did try
to restart I had an install updates and restart along with the regular
restart that I usually have. When I used that option the updates didn't
install though so how do I install the available update?

Also, I never did upgrade to windows 10 version 1809 but I want to do
that now while it's still available but how do I do that?

Thanks.

So, Once in Chrome, press CTRL+Shift+O, This would bring up the
bookmark manager. once there, you can press space on the organize
bookmarks options & then, chose the desired option with the help of
arrow keys & do the needful.

hope, it helps.

Hi Janet,

I some how had a bunch of pictures that were taken on my phone before voice over was turned on.

and I was hitting the camera button by mistake I figure.

good to know if someone does need these pictures which get backedup automatically can be a bit of a help.

So I deleted a lot of pictures and now I'm back to using a gig or so right now.

I guess it's good to check the drive to help with this matter.

Hi Karim,

I am also having the same problems, and I am also getting emails from Apple telling me I’ve used up more than half my iCloud storage, and they said I could upgrade, but I shouldn’t have to pay to have more storage space, because I don’t use that much to begin with.  I can’t even imagine that!  I was at an Apple store last week, and the Apple rep seen in my iCloud storage 3.1gb of space has been used, but with my personal apps that I’ve downloaded is not even 1gb, and my phone is a 64 gb.  The Apple rep told me he doesn’t use the iCloud on his phone to back up because each time my phone is plugged in, it isn’t only charging because it is also backing up to the Cloud, and each time my phone is backed up, the iCloud saves all those times of backing up, but this just doesn’t sound right to me!  The rep recommend that I use iTunes on my pc to keep everything backed up, but I think iTunes is pretty flaky, so I don’t bother with it.  You can check your iCloud storage by going to settings, double tap on your name, look for iCloud, and double tap on that, you can double tap on manage storage, and you will see the apps and how much space they are taking up on your phone.  I’m not sure which phone you’re using though, but I’m using the XR phone, so it might work on your phone as well.

I don't know what address you mean. I'm not sure if I know
enough to help further other than to suggest an experiment
you might not want to try. It might be more trouble than
its worth. You could try setting up an account with
thunderbird and just sending mail to that person from
whatever address you want, one you use now, assumedly, to
see if she receives it. You wouldn't download mail with
that program, you would just send messages to the person.
You would then know if there is a problem between Outlook

makes any sense.

This link leads to a page with earlier versions of the program going back to as far as 4x, and perhaps further, I didn't check to see what the earliest version available is.  I believe this site is safe.  However, you may want to wait for confirmation from others.  I believe I checked but it was perhaps two years ago and after all this time, I'm not sure.

my issues with switch is the version. :) I bought one, but it is not up to date with they currently produce, so since I had a computer crash and don't have the earlier "paid for version" they won't let me continue to use it since I can't download an earlier version their site. I had bought something like 5.60, but they are up to the sevens now.

So, I use something else.

Hi Janet.  I rather suspect it's because the software detected that you had used a trial version before, and so it based it's info on the footprints left by it's trial cousin, as it were, on your system.  You can of course clear traces of the previously installed Switch trial, but I wouldn't recommend it as it would be dealing with registries and such, not worth the risk and bother.  Then again, you could reformat your system and do a clean install, but again, unless you are needing to do that, it's not worth the bother.  Switch is a fantastic converter, and I think for what it can potentially do, the price is worth it.  I paid for my version and have no regrets.  Cheers!

Hi Marcio,

No it won’t let me use it at all.  It says I’ve used up my trial time, but I just downloaded it.

I have this program and it also wants me to pay for it, however I assume you can use it in demo mode?

Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get a free version of Switch program? I downloaded one, but it wants me to pay for it, and I don't even know if it will work on Windows 7.  I haven't used the program in several years though, so I'm not sure if it will work on Windows 7.  If someone could also give me step by step instructions I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you all in advance.

firefox install of older version, help please?

Keith S

HI, I wanted to install a slightly older version of firefox and went to the directory pub URL and found the version I wanted to download.

I clicked on the 64 bit version of windows firefox and saved it to my computer.

Unzipped it into it's own folder and then tried to find the setup or install .exe file.

None seems to be there.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Keith
