Is anyone on the list using a Charter email Account with WLM? If so, would you please give the settings? I can receive messages but can’t send. They no longer use pop so it is an imap setup.
Incoming
mobile.charter.net port 993
outgoing
mobile.charter.net
port 587
both set to use SSL
I have tried checking the Server requires authentication and unchecking. Neither seems to make a difference. For the user name, I put in the full email address and tried just the user name. No luck.
Any ideas?

Hi all,

I don't know how to make hyperlinks not automatic, suspect it's in wherever the autocorrect options are.

Your usual commands for line spacing still work: ctrl-1 ctrl-2 and ctrl-5.

Hi Abbey:

The BARD mobile app is very nice and easy to use wit just a few imstructions.  No unzipping of files or transfering books to another reader.  Just download them to your phone and off you go.

Here is the link to the info about using BARD mobile.

Re: Bard Books Question

I don't know about Voice Dream Reader, but if you want to play a downloaded NLS book on your player, Dave is right. You'lll need to unzip it before transferring it from your computer to a thumb drive or cartridge. Since you use Voice Dream Reader, I'm assuming you have an IOS or Android device. If you download the BARD Mobile app, you can read books you download without having to unzip them. I hope this is helpful.

@ Olusegun, That's very cool, It sounds almost identical to my
situation. I really think programmers are surprised to hear that
their work is unusable by some people and depending on how good of a
programmer they really are, they may not be capable of correcting the
issue at hand. I think companies are more receptive to hearing
constructive criticism as opposed to gripes and complaints. The larger
the company the greater the risk of crashing their infrastructure
while trying to implement new code into the live website or app. I
personally know a consultant that works with fortune 100 companies and
I can tell you that every single piece of code is discussed with the
architects, engineers and programmers in smaller groups, then in a
larger group setting to be sure the new code doesn't disturb any
previous code or will conflict with any planned upgrades. So, what
seems like a simple little thing like a button that won't click or a
control that isn't accessible, may be connected to other operations in
some meaningful way. Anyway, as the saying goes" you catch more flies
with sugar than with salt". I hope people read these types of messages
and feel comfortable reaching out to a website developer or a SMART
phone app developer just to let them know theirs an issue. Sometimes
it's really just a simple as that, they just were unaware.

Nice work brother, keep up the positivity, it's much appreciated,
Blaster

Like you, I've had to work with Lyft forever on making their app more
accessible for Androideans! Before now, it was not possible to schedule
future rides or even add a stop. Now, that's history. Oh, how about
rating
the driver? Yes, there was a slider to interact with, but it was always a
hit and miss. When a driver gets a 3Star or less, you'd never see such a
one again. What if he was kind and courteous, nice and friendly all
around?
Forget that, the rating wasn't good enough. Again, this is now
history--rating a Lyft driver is a breeze!

I had a contact person I was working with directly; but she was moved to a
different department and we almost lost touch. I kept sending her my
evaluations as best I could even though she was in a different department.
The persistence paid off and now, I am happily enjoying being able to
schedule Lyft unperturbed.

It does make a huge difference when a developer can be reached and shown by
way of some demonstration what could be done differently to make their apps
truly accessible. I could never do that with Windows app developers, but
I'm glad the ones on the Android side of the fence are more receptive and
have good listening ears.

Again, thanks for what you do sire; just keep up the good job. I owe you
all the red wine you can imbibe, I don't like beer! If for any reason
you're coming through my village, please kindly give me some heads up
privately so we can arrange a get together.

Re: Win 10 1809 Has Finally Showed Its Face To Me

Pressing Win+V should do the trick for activating it.
However, if not, try typing "clipboard" in the search box then activate it through settings.
After this you can access your clipboard history with this keystroke.

There are two things you can do. The first is to hit the application key on a file in focus, and you can choose the option copy link. This link can then be pasted in an email for that person to view or download the file.
Second, you can create a folder in your dropbox folder. Then focus on this new folder and hit the application key. This time you would use the option share...
Then you can add their email address to send them an invitation.
Remember, with a shared folder, the other person or persons could change or delete the file. So, when I do this, I have the files somewhere else on my hard drive just in case.

Hope this helps,
Thom

Hi,
Suppose you copy something to your clipboard then you copy something else right after.
Well, the first thing you've copied would be lost, right?
Not on this new clipboard if you set it up correctly. If you do, pressing Windows+V will give you a window containing a history of everything you've copied so far.
You can clean this history if you wish, something that NVDA doesn't seem to read properly as well but then you just need to press enter where it doesn't speak anything and know that if you did it your clipboard will be cleaned out.

I hope it makes sense :)

Hi guys,
So, subject says it all. The thing finally found me and I must say I'm loving it.
A few little problems here and there, specially with my sound driver which for some reason is behaving in a little weird way but overall it's quite good.
The thing I most expected, the new clipboard, I can say for sure that's a godsend if you are one of the people who does repeated tasks with the same text :)

Now, there's something I really am not knowing how to deal with. It's the pin function.
I've read that you can pin the most used items to your clipboard so it won't disappear when computer restarts, but NVDA doesn't seem to have access to this option. Would anyone by chance know how it works?
