There is one that synchronizes bookmarks across the browsers it is called Eversync.

Another bookmark manager is called Linkstash from http://www.linkstash.com

This one saves the links in it’s own database and you launch the link from it’s interface and not from your browsers.  It reminds me of Windows Explorer.

This is one thing I don't like about Chrome. There seems to be no control over where bookmarks go when you add them. I no longer bookmark pages. I save them by pressing Control S. This opens the usual save-as dialog, where you can navigate to where you want the file to go. It's saved as an html file that you can open in Chrome by pressing Control O. The down side is that once you've saved the page and opened it in Chrome, there's no way to get a link to that page to include, say, on your blog or website. So, if somebody else has any more brilliant ideas, I'm all ears.

Regarding Duo Lingo, if you are using JAWS, turn off the virtual pc cursor with JAWS key z.  Then see if you can tab to the field you want to work with.  If you are using NVDA, turn off browse mode with NVDA key space bar.  Then again, tab to see if you can move to the field you want to work with.  In both cases, you turn on the virtual pc cursor or browse mode with the same command you turned it off with, JAWS key z or NVDA key space bar.

Thank you so much for your comments and suggestions on this matter.  I planned on using chrome again to see if Facebook works any better and if it doesn't, then I will go back to using internet explorer.  I also thought about using Firefox if it doesn't work well with chrome.  I also heard it was good to have several browsers on the computer.  I will keep my options open.

Here are my general thoughts on your comments. 

 

Usually, pages are either identical or nearly identical.  You may be working with specific pages that aren't for some reason.  The thing to keep in mind is that you don't have to completely stop using a browser.  If you find that a site works better enough with Internet Explorer to keep using it, you may do so.  There will be some risk using Internet Explorer even on a small number of sites after it loses support next January.  It will be better to use a browser that is supported.  But you may want to take the risk if a site works better enough in Internet Explorer to be significant.

You may find only two or three sites that you want to use that work better enough to matter with Internet Explorer compared with Chrome or Firefox.  If that is the case, you can ask on list for people's opinions about whether it is worth trying Firefox or just using Internet Explorer on those sites. 

 

If you use many web sites, its worth having two supported browsers because you never know when a site won't work well with one browser and better or much better with another.  And if you use enough web sites. you will find sites that work better in Chrome than in Internet Explorer as well.  It’s a good idea to have two or three browsers on a machine as a blind user unless you use the Internet in too limited a way to have such problems to any extent.

I was able to set chrome for my default browser.  I use Duolingo every day for my Spanish lessons and now the problem I am having is when I enter on begin challenge, there is no where for me to start the lesson.  When I use internet explorer, I arrow down until it says level 5 or intro and I don't see that here.  So I am forwarding you my email from Duolingo and for those of you who have chrome, could someone please tell me what I need to do to be able to do my lesson like I did with internet explorer?  Thanks in advance.  I apologize for all of these question but I'm very routine and I'm used to a certain way and now with this new browser, everything is different from the way I was doing it.

I once had that program ynao reyati yvuk recording only the beginning and end of the file and the rest did not

Did you get the program before from links provided by list members?  I don't know if there is a newer version or how accessible it is.  I can give you links to aversion that is perhaps two or three years old.  It was modified to make it more accessible, I believe a good deal more accessible, by the former owner of this list, Carlos, who very unfortunately, died some time ago.  He contributed a lot to the community.  If you want to try whatever the latest unmodified version is, people should be able to send that information but I don't know if it will meet your needs.
