Re: Editing with NVDA

Hold either control and use the left and right
arrow keys. This is a standard Windows navigation method.

I am primarily a Jaws user but do use NVDA as an occasional backup. When in
a message body, word or text document, etc. with Jaws, you can hold down the
Jaws key and tab the right or left arrows to move by word rather that by
character. Is there any similar method of doing this in NVDA?Thanks

Re: How to block emails?
Gene
As far as I know, all it will do is send the
blocked files to the deleted messages folder. You may not mind that, but
you will still be receiving the mail.
Also will this procedure really block a list or
will it block the person who sent the message? If it uses the from line of
messages to determine what to block, it will block the person, not the
list. That means you won't receive the person's mail, no matter if he/she
sends you a message off list, and you won't receive the person's mail from any
other list.
At this point, I'm not sure it is wise to fool
around with blocking. Using message rules would be wiser, since at this
point, we don't know what blocking does.
If you tell us what list server the lists are on,
we may be able to tell you how to actually unsubscribe or how to find out the
e-mail method. Different list serves follow different patterns.
Someone who knows how to unsubscribe by e-mail from one list on a list serve can
follow the same pattern for every other list on that list serve.

1. Highlight any email you are interested in blocking and use your Applications key (Shift+F10) and press J for the Junk submenu... option. 2. There will be options to Block, Unblock and Never Block etc.
It’d be best for you though if you just unsubscribed from these various lists instead like was already mentioned. Check the various footers of the emails because usually there is an unsubscribe address or address to the homepage within for a lot of lists which it sounds you already tried with unsuccessful results, but unsubscribing would be best because why cause your computer unnecessary work, you know?

Hi List I am using Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 desktop computer with Jaws 2019.
There are some lists that I have joined, but now I wish to unsubscribe from them. However merely clicking on the unsubscribe button on some of these has not done the job.
Therefore, I figure the only thing left to do is to block them.
What is the specific peace of information from one of their messages do I need to have to do this? What then do I do to block them?
Thank you very much for any help!

Depends on the version of Android.

8.0 (Oreo) or later you would press and hold the volume buttons for three seconds. Previous to Oreo you would press and hold two fingers on the screen until Talkback comes on. This is during the first time startup.

Adjusting Colomns For Outlook With JAWS
1. With focus in Outlook, use the keystroke Insert+F2 to open up the JAWS Manager. 2. Arrow down to Customize Outlook Message List and press Enter. 3. Arrow down through the various colomns and use the spacebar to easily adjust them according to your liking and OK it all when you get things you feel are the way you want because you can always come back, following the above steps once again.
