Re: copying an entire codepen?

Mike B.

Hi Dave,

If you're using Jaws, try the following:
1. Mark the beginning spot with the keystroke, Control, Windows key + K, to set a temporary placemark.
2. Go to the end of whatever you want to copy and hold down the Insert / Jaws key and press the spacebar to open the layered keystrokes feature, and press the letter, M, and this will select between the temporary placemarker and your current position.
3. Now press, Control + C, to copy and now paste it wherever you want.
Hope this works for you because I use this feature a lot and it works really cool.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.  Go Rams!

Re: c cleaner

The whole concept of programs like CCleaner is so unnecessary now because the operating system, not to mention hardware, is so much faster, the time and space saved by running Registry cleaners makes very little, if any, difference any more. Even Microsoft disrecommends these kinds of programs. Registry cleaners usually cause more troubles than they fix.

Getting Win10 To Wake-up Using Task Scheduler

Mike B.

Hi All,

We're trying to get Windows 10 to wake-up using a scheduled task, but we can only get the computer to wake-up by pressing a key, not by using the scheduled task.  We can get the computer to sleep using a scheduled task, but just not wake-up.  We've done this successfully with Windows 7 and just can't seem to getter done with Windows 10.  We're using the steps from the article below.

Schedule Windows to Sleep and Wake Automatically

Has anyone accomplished this?  If so, how did you getter done?  All input will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks mooy moocho.

new dropbox rules

De: Shaun Everiss <sm.everiss@gmail.com>

Hi all.

This is a small warning to everyone that uses dropbox.

From march this year, all basic accounts are limited to 3 devices.

What does that mean?

Nothing, except that dropbox remembers every device and session ever made.

So you reformat your computer or change your account name, or get another computer and don't unlink first, your device becomes a ghost device same with app programs, and brouser sessions.

1. sign into dropbox.

The easiest way to do this is to login with your own client, click the tray icon and launch dropbox.

Now near the top of the page is a menu called my account hit space on that, scroll down to settings, hit shift space to exit forms mode then hit enter.

Don't move about else things will just not work right.

Now dropbox settings load.

hit control home for the top of the page then h.

2. select security tab, in the same way, enter forms mode once you scroll down to the list of tabs, and locate security.

get out of forms mode and hit enter.

Next control home again.

then hit t.

3. The next thing to do is locate every session in the first table which has an end session button it and hit the space bar till they are all gone.

Next locate the device tree which is directly below the brouser treeview.

The first device in the list is your device.

scroll to the end of that list.

Every device you have ever linked including every ghost device linked in the past will exist, I had 6, my dad had 2.

Hit unlink button on all the devices bar the one that says its been modified in the last hour.

Every other device will have a time when it was last valid.

Finally go through the steps of going to my account, then settingss however next select the connected apps view.

Then disconnect every app you don't use and service.

If you need to link devices take note of the devices you want to connect.

A basic user can connect up to 3 devices.

Those can be a computer, a phone and one other device or 3 computers.

You can buy, but to be honest, if you get this warning and are only using 1 device, then you probably have a lot of ghost devices.

I'd also update your password at this time if you have forgotten it if you haven't already.

Hi Group,

A month or so ago, I inquired about the Netgear series of routers.
Someone recommended the Nighthawk model from Netgear. I searched for it
on Amazon and indeed I found it as follows:
NETGEAR Nighthawk AX4 4-Stream WiFi 6 Router (RAX40) - AX3000 Wireless
Speed (up to 3Gbps) | Coverage for Small-to-Medium Homes | 4 x 1G
Ethernet and 1 x 3.0 USB Ports
4.2 out of 5 stars 12,799
$192.14
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Netgear+Nighthawk&i=electronics&rh=n%3A172282%2Cn%3A300189%2Cp_89%3ANETGEAR%2Cp_36%3A1253506011&dc&qid=1570814066&rnid=386442011&ref=sr_nr_p_36_4

It says that it is for small and medium sized houses. This fits me to a
T. I am wondering, just to be sure of a few things. It says that there
is an iPhone app for this router. I checked for the app store and indeed
there is. I downloaded it just to check on accessibility. It seems
accessible, but of course without the router, you can't get very far, it
asks for a user name and password and that's where you have to stop
without the hardware.

I want to be sure if anyone else has checked this app out and if the
whole app is indeed accessible? I also want to be sure that this model
has both wired and wireless capability. I believe it say that it has up
to 4 wired slots. Is this true? I am very inexperienced with the
specifications for routers in general and thus must be sure of this
before I purchase.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Laptop Battery Use

Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) which is what type of battery I'm sure is within this laptop, is best never completely drained nor completely charged to 100% and keep in mind, this is what professionals are saying and have been saying for several years about Lithium-Ion batteries not just myself.

One of the best articles I've read on this particular issue regarding Li-Ion batteries, was not to completely charge these types of batteries to 100% and, try to not allow it to go below 40%. Definitely never try to allow to completely and fully drain either. With Lithium-Ion batteries, I guess the hardest things is either charging all the way up to 100% or allow the battery to completely discharge to 0%, just not at all good for these types of batteries.

They would typically say try and keep your Li-Ipon batteries between 40% to 80% and this is many professionals opinions regarding this matter, but by all means continue to do whatever it is that you do (which is what most of us do anyways).

You can search on Amazon for Chrome box and see what you come up with.
Also you might try contacting Best Buy to see if they have any in your

Not sure on your second question.

Hi Simon,

You can get Chrome OS on a desktop, they call them Chrome Box.

chromeVox not to be confused with Chrome Box is the screen reader.
Depending on what you want to do with Chrome OS, it works well.

Plus you can install and run supported Android apps.

As I mentioned previously, this guy tried to pull a fast one.  Initially, this Chrome captcha solving extension  was free, but about two weeks later, he decided that he would start charging $140 a year, basing this on the Barnum precept that there's a sucker born every minute, especially blind succkers.  Of course, he got no takers, and I think he just gave up, much like the developer of Captcha Be Gone. Plus, it was never listed in the Chrome apps store, which means that it was probably never an officially approved extension in the first place.

Hi,
I think there are a number of such services, but that assumes, at minimum, two prerequisites: A smartphone and a monitor. Depending on how independent you feel you want or ought to be, you might also need the will power to sit through the embarrassment and humiliation of having yet another task that you have to rely on help for. I know I, for one, have none of those.
Luckily I haven't had to solve a visual-only CAPTCHA in a while now, and if I do, until I can find a decent independent way of doing it, I don't use them. Especially if they involve ASCII art which even most solvers can't recognise as a CAPTCHA.
Cheers,
Damien.

Yeah, the Dev’s got a personal Twitter account as well as one for his company (Accessible Apps), but don’t think he actively monitors it.

Probably the best you can do is reach out to him documenting your attempts to stop the charge then reach out to your card company to try to kill that recurring charge or dispute it.

Captcha Be Gone is long gone.  There are no longer any accessible captcha-solving services except for Webvisum, which only works with Firefox 52 ESR and earlier.
