Do a google search for mp3merge program. The free mp3merge program works quite good.

Re: Creating play lists
Smiling?
Once again, here's how playlists can be created simply using Winamp.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
Creating Playlists using Winamp This has already been answered, but for convenience just answering it again (there are several different ways of doing most things on computers). This process has worked with XP, 7, 8 and 10. There are simple ways of creating playlist files (.M3U, .PLS, etc.) within Winamp alone (without having to install anything extra) and here are the directions below: 1. Open up Winamp. 2. Within the Winamp Playlist Editor tab we'll call it (Alt+E) which is where you have all of your chosen tracks. To choose individual tracks to add to this list, just highlight/select whatever tracks on your machine or other drives that you are wanting to add to the playlist, use your applications key (Shift+F10) 3. Then press E for Enqueue in Winamp. Do this with whatever tracks, albums, folders that have anything you are wanting to add to the playlist that you are interested in creating. 4. When finished adding all you desire to add, go to the Winamp Playlist Editor tab like before (probably only needing to Control+Tab to it if focus is not already there) You can arrow up and down to check out what you've placed within the playlist use the keystroke Control+S to save the playlist you've put together. Name and save it wherever you prefer. It can be moved anywhere on the machine, it's just the files within this playlist you've put together can't be moved for them to continue to work with the playlist itself.

Re: Dear Friends, Should I do a "Disk Clean Up" on my 8, 9, year old External T - Drives?
Gene
In general, except for one possible case, I doubt
that doing a cleanup would accomplish anything. the purpose is to remove files
that accumulate that don't do anything but waste space. The operating
system isn't on the external disks and you aren't running files on them.
You should have either no or almost no useless files if you just use it for
storage. One thing I don't know about is something like System Restore
keeping a record of what is on your drive. I see no point in that, and, if
it is monitoring your drive, you might save room, I'm not sure how much, by
stopping monitoring. If the old file is left, that keeps information about
the drive, you might save room, but I don't know how much, if you remove the
file.
But others who know more may
comment on that.

accessible DVD player for a friend?
Michael Amaro
Hello Listers,
A friend of mine, is looking for the following
accessible DVD player. His message follows:
I
am looking for an accessible DVD player and know this list contains many people
with diverse experiences. I know there are many accessible models including
Phillips—the brand I am most interested in. The question I am asking is; do any
of the accessible models you know about speak the dvd title information while
navigating the dvd menu. I have a model where the buttons speak but what I need
is title information. I don’t expect the actual title name to speak but
something like “Title 1”, “Title 2”, etc. I would appreciate any information you
might have.
And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your
country can do for you — ask what you can do for your
Country."

Re: merge mp3 files
Kwork
Thanks. The reason I don't care to use GoldWave is that I believe that it re-encodes the file while it does its work. When encoding a lossy file, more audio data will be lost. Unless this is somehow changed, that's my understanding how an audio editor, such as GoldWave handles mp3 files.

1. Open Computer / your list of drives by pressing, Windows

2. Down arrow to select / highlight the 1st drive you want to

3. Give the drive a couple of seconds to populate / load the
data. Now route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor with the keystroke,
Insert + Numpad minus / Jaws cursor key and down arrow to get the results.
You'll hear, Used Space, so listen closely to what Jaws is saying because you'll
hear a long number that is the number of bytes, then you'll hear the number of
GB used.
4. Down arrow again to hear, Free Space, and again just like

5. use the same steps from above on each external

Creating Playlists using Winamp
There are several different ways of doing most things on computers. This process below has worked with XP, 7, 8 and 10.
There are simple ways of creating playlist files (.M3U, .PLS, etc.) within Winamp alone (without having to install anything extra) and here are the directions below:
