Its probably spam.  If you want to be sure, e-mail whomever it claims it is from, using an address you find by a Google search.  Don't use any links or e-mail addresses in the message.  I see no reason why a school or any such entity would approve you without you contacting them first, and phishing messages are continually more sophisticated.

Hello,

Has anyone heard of netacad.com? I just got an email indicating Cisco
Networking Academy netacad.com had approved an activation for me, and
if true ok something i'd be interested in.

Several things make me nervous, first I didn't sign up for anything
like this. Second, the email was sent via Php mailer 5.x which ups my
worry factor maybe indicating a phishing atempt. If it is phishing it
is quite sophisticated, as DKIM and spf both passed, the domain
appears valid i.e. one can ping it and you get both a forward as well
as reverse dns, though a ping times out.

Has anyone seen this?

Thanks.
Dave.

A very long time ago, I used Office 2003 for a little while; it is accessible.  I’m quite sure the version before it is accessible, too.  All later ones have been as well.

Subject: [TechTalk] Is there a group for Insulin Pump users?

Hi All,

My friend's whose 'wife' has been filling his Insulin Pump, etc has
started a job that keeps her out of the house for 12 hours a day.
Besides being concerned about the possibility of needing to work with
his pump on his own, he was recently advised that he would be losing
what little remaining vision he has.

Can anyone share a group or list that will help my friend cope with this
new situation? Such as a list for blind users of Insulin Pumps or any
other list or group that could possibly help?

Thank you in advance for your kind help in this matter.

Hi Mike and All,

Well, here is the message I sent to Carlos, and I would be willing to bet he is right now laughing at all of us, but you can also bet he is getting these messages!  Smile!

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

Carlos at: (carlos@...)
Your message couldn't be delivered. The Domain Name System (DNS) reported that the recipient's domain does not exist, but they don’t know Carlos like we do!

error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin Carlos, is the only one who can fix this problem.

Hi Carlos,

Do you remember about a few years ago, someone on the list was in an overheated argument about computers and tablets, and you were just so understanding and patient.  I sent you a message off list, and asked you where you got your patients from, and you replied by saying you bought them at Walgreens, Aw man, I thought I was going to fall out of my chair!  LOL!  What can I say, but you are one of a kind, and we all stil miss you, so make sure you reply to our messages!  Smile!  LOL!

From your forever friend Janet!

Happy Thanksgiving Carlos, and thank you, because if you were here, you would send a message to the list wishing Happy Thanksgiving to all!  But then again, It wouldn't surprise me if you found a way to send the list messages!  So, we all just might see a message from you before the day is over!

Prayer for the Departed Souls

As said in 1st John chapter 5-verse 15, You're the omniscient God who we know hears all prayers. So, we pray for the soul of our departed brother Carlos Nazario
that You, oh Lord may nourish and take care of him in Heaven. You encourage us to ask and that it shall be given to us and so, we've asked and
we know our request has been given.  We thank You for providing for Carlos Nazario  , when he was alive and for sheltering us also to be present in this
prayer. Amen.
Happy Thanksgiving and, I still misss you!
God Bless You Carlos, May You Rest In Peace.
PS,
Death is no more than passing from one room into another, But there's a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see!

Your forever friend!

Peace Be With You.

My opinion is just use Microsoft security app, that it is now called, it has always worked for me. I use Malware bites and occasionally run it but seldom it ever finds anything.

Not Windows Defender and emsisoft antivirus at the same time.  You should never run two antivirus programs simultaneously.  I don't know a lot about the subject but each program may think the other is doing things it shouldn't and they may attack each other.  There may be other reasons that others may discuss.  Microsoft automatically turns off Windows Defender if another antivirus program is running.  It automatically turns it back on if it is the only one.

I didn't say anything about Malware Bytes.  People run it and an antivirus program.  I said not Windows Defender and emsisoft antivirus, which was mentioned in another message.  And you shouldn't run two of any antivirus programs simultaneously.

Gene, I didn't think Malware Bytes was classified as an anti-virus program.  If it is, than I can understand why one wouldn't run both at once.
