Hi William,

The new edge browser or that is the old new Edge Browser which Microsoft included with Windows 10 a few years ago has some issue with the way it displays visited links.  For that reason, no screen readers are able to see visited links.  Therefore the V quick navigation key will not work.

With the newer Edge browser which should be based on Chrome, you can navigate with the V quick key for visited links.

I don't know if this will help, but make sure the window is maximized.  Windows key + up arrow is the Microsoft keystroke or try holding down the, Alt, key and pressing the spacebar, let up on both keys, now up arrow to, maximize, and press enter.

I'm not sure what that means.  Do you have a sighted person who can tell you if the files are being displayed?  I'm trying to think of another way you can get to the same files.  Are you opening My Documents on the desktop?  I don't recall if you stated what version of Windows you are using but there is at least one more way to get to the folder.  Try an experiment.  Open the start menu search and type documents.  Do you see a documents folder or more than one?  Can you open them and see the files?
 
Others may be able to give you other ways or better ways.  I'm making a suggestion but I don't know what you will see to open.
 
But I'm suggesting finding another way to open the folder because you may currently be working with the library and not directly with the folder.  Something may have happened that is causing yu problems with the library but that may have nothing to do with working with the folder itself.

When I use the jaws cursor it says “select a file to preview.

You can keep reinstalling the driver if Windows removes it.  I think it might remove it during a full upgrade, the six months apart ones, but I doubt it would for security and stability updates.

Okay, I was able to get alt V to work. It says show hidden items unavailable.

When I use the jaws cursor it says “select a file to preview.
Alt V doesn’t do anything while I’m in the folder.

Do you see them if you look using the JAWS cursor?  What settings do you see if you open the view menu with alt v wile in that folder?

I know this driver / Microsoft replacement crap happens for some people, but fortunately I don't have this problem.  Why I don't know and wish I did, so I would know how to fix it like everyone else.  If on occasion this does happen I keep the driver with the equalizer handy so I can replace the gineric crap Windows installs.  Anyways, I'll zip up the Realtek driver I have and send the list a download link.

While I have your ear, where can I find a RealTech driver with an equalizer?  That would be awesome if Windows updates wouldn’t replace it.

Below is the download link for the Realtek driver with equalizer I use when necessary to fix a Realtek soundcard problem if this problem pops up.  Read the instruction text file before attempting the executable.  If you don't follow the instructions you'll get an error message when trying to install.  I use this driver for both Windows 7 & 10 64 bit Pro systems.

Realtek drivers can be had from their web site, however of a specific one that has an equalizer.

As for drivers and updates, windows update and drivers are the bane of my existence, I've got a machine that whenever windows update updates it's network driver (vendor supplied) with it's own version (microsoft supplied), I loose network connectivity and have to reinstall the vendor-provided driver.

Troy, Two things to consider first.

1. Did you put the transmitter and your receiving device close
together during pairing?

2. Are all other Bluetooth devices in the vicinity either turned off
or had their bluetooth turned off?

You may wish to use your mom's eyesight to see the pretty lights which
is a better indicator of what the Miccus Swivel Jack RTX is doing
rather than relying on your counting at the same speed I did which was
very slowly.

I paired mine with my Echo Dot so I can use it as a computer speaker
when I wish to play something on my computer for the benefit of others
and it works beautifully.
