Ordering form Amazon

Allen West

Hi All,

A friend of mine is having trouble with ordering from Amazon. He has
ordered several items in the last few weeks with success. But, on
three occasions, he has been able to add an item to the cart, however,
could not proceed to check out. He called Amazon Accessibility and
they could not figure out why this is happening.
He is using Google Chrome with JAWS 2020. We are looking for a
solution. If someone has any suggestions, they would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks much

Allen

the battery in the Logitech K380

Troy Burnham

Hi all,

Can the battery be charged in the Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard? I don't know if I left my keyboard on or what but I can't make it work this morning.

Also, is the on/off switch closer to me or away from me when the keyboard is on? I can never remember so if I left it on yesterday that's why.

Thanks.

Troy

Yes Pam you are correct. Alt tab is for cycling between open applications.

Also, if you have more than 2 items running on your task bar you should keep
the alt key held down until you reach the item you want. If you just press
alt then tab, then rlease both every time you will just end up cycling
between the last 2 items and focus.

Direct TV Now.

Shirley Koda

I am thinking about getting Direct TV Now.  I know that I can stream it to my TV with the Apple TV.  However, I’m looking for something that isn’t quite as expensive which will do the same thing.  Is there anything else that is accessible and that will stream Direct TV Now to my TV?  Thanks.

Re: Bookshare books on the iPhone?

Download the read to go app. This is very accessible and it uses the read aloud voice.

I prefer using windows key-tab. After you press that, you can left and right
arrow through all the open windows. Press enter on the one you want to

the application/menu key and arrow up to close and press enter.

Re: Switching to Android phone

Jaffar Sidek

Hi.  I totally ditched IPhone because there is no freedom to share or get other stuff from other platforms except for Apple itself.  I found it a constant irritant to not be able to share stuff with my son and my friends, and so, even if the IPhone is a little more accessible, i made the switch to Android and have not regretted it.  Yes there are some irritating quirks found in Android, but I can live with those and enjoy more freedom of use rather than to have to Jailbreak the IPhone to get what I want. JailBreak?  what a horrid criminal terminology for non-criminals.

Hello,

I recommend you join the antad list at antad+subscribe@... <mailto:antad%2Bsubscribe@...> , the eyes-free list at eyes-free+subscribe.com <http://subscribe.com> , or listen to the Antad podcast which can be found in most podcast apps. You can also check out inclusiveandroid.com <http://inclusiveandroid.com> as well. These will get you started with ANdroid, although the tutorials which come with the screen readers are pretty good as well. As for phone recommendations, the Galaxy phones and Pixel phones would be my recommendations. I am a Pixel 4 user, an find the phone to be a delight to use. I have used Samsung phones in the past, and while I find them not to be as responsive and while I don't like them for their slower updates, I think they are good devices, and Voice Assistant has 3-finger gestures, which may be helpful to someone switching from iOS, as well as the magic tap gesture, which would also be helpful.

Thanks.
