On the same page you reference, you will see a talking indoor/outdoor thermometer. You must click the 'tell me more' link to get the details. On 1/8/2020 1:20 AM, James Bentley

Leedy Diane Bomar
Hello,
I have bought several talking thermometers from Amazon. The cool thing about them is that you can check indoor temperature, or use them to check the temperature of water, or whatever you are cooking. I haven't looked recently, but just search for "talking thermometer" They cost between $15 and $20. I have been searching for quite a while for something that just does indoor temperature and nothing else. Re: Talking Indoor Thermometer
James Bentley
Hello Merv,
Future Aids/The Braille Super Store has a $20, talking cube clock. It is heavy duty with a loud female voice that doesn’t sound like a stupid robot from the sixties.
It announces time, indoor temperature and humidity.
It also has a 90 minute timer that goes to one hour in ten minute increments. The last increment adds 30 minutes to go up to 90 minutes.
It runs on 4 triple A batteries not included.
Mine came free matter for the blind in about one week with no shipping charge.
I bought 3 of these around 6 years ago. They all work fine. One was dropped on a hard tile floor and still works.
I know that you may just want a stand alone talking indoor thermometer but, Here is a linkjust in case you want to take a look
http://www.braillebookstore.com/All--Purpose-Talking-Clock.1
You can order on line or give them a call at: 1-800-987-1231
Cheers,

accessible, the iOS app is completely accessible. The app is where you'd go to check your data anyway. I have a Fitbit flex, but I really only use it for the vibrating alarm feature. I use it as my silent alarm instead of my iPhone in the morning so as to not wake up my wife since I’m the early bird where she on the otherhand hates mornings with the intencity of a thousand burning suns. I couldnt' speak as the the accessibility of the Android app or if there's a Windows version or other means to synchronize with the PC Cristóbal

Re: Accurate Talking Kitchen Scales
Cristóbal
I have no idea. I bought mine through Amazon.com, so maybe if you went through the Amazon UK site you’d have a better idea. You could also write them directly at their own website.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
You may also want to check to see if the app is available in your country’s App Store.

Hi list,
When I go to some web pages, there is a link, usually at the top of the page, to “view in html format” Is this better than standard when using a screen reader? Thanks, Monte

Re: Is there a way to listen to my iPhone through my computer?
Gene
There may be an easier way to do this. Have you considered using a
program like Tapin Radio? You can listen to stations directly on your
computer. I don’t know how many stations you have access to with the app
you are using on the IPhone but it might be useful to compare such means of
listening.

Yes indeed. I have an iPhone 10 and had to buy an adapter, but you will not need an adapter since you have a headphone jack on your iPhone 6. Just go into sound settings on the computer and make sure that the mic jack is set for line in, or your audio is going to really blast.

Re: Is there a way to listen to my iPhone through my computer?

My apologies Peter. I totally missed the fact that you said that you have an iPhone 6, and do have a 3.5 mm headphone jack on the phone. I'm sure that there is a Bluetooth way to do it if you have Bluetooth on the computer, but I would be tempted to just connect a 3.5 mm cable from your headphone jack on the phone to the audio input on the computer, then go into sound settings and make sure that your input source is set for line in.

Hello Peter. I'm sure that there is a more high-tech solution than what I did to solve this problem, but I just went to Best Buy and picked up a lightning to 3.5 mm adapter and plugged my iPhone into my computer like that.

through your computer? if it is purely for the better audio from the speakers you are using, then with your iPhone being a 6, you can use either a 2way audio switch, or even a 2 channel mixer desk to connect directly from the headphone jack to your speakers, unless I am missing something else you want to do. hope this helps.
