braille sense polaris and google assistant
Kimsan
Hi, Not trying to sound lazy, but if you wonderful folks want to rather just let me know where in the help files which section it talks about how to set up google assistant that would be great. I just went through a couple of sections and it just kept talking about stuff not relating to what I was looking for smile.
Actually, it might be as simple as grab the google assistant app from the playstore and install it correct? If indeed that is the case, how do you summon the beast. I think it’s record and play at the same time? Thank you, Sincerely, Kimsan Song kimsansong@...

Re: reading a Microsoft excel sheet letter by letter
Quentin Christensen
As well as Howard's method, which will move through the whole cell contents, with NVDA, you can press NVDA+up arrow twice quickly (or if using laptop keyboard layout, NVDA+L twice quickly) which will spell the current line (press just once to read the text rather than spell it) - so you can read the first line within a cell without going into edit mode - names and phone numbers are probably only on one line each. Troy:
I have an old version of Excel, but this is what I do to read letter by letter. Arrow to the cell you want to read. Hit the F2 key to go into edit mode. Then press the 'home' key to go to the start of the number and arrow across one number at a time. Hitting the tab key will take you out of edit mode.

When I need to do that, I go into edit mode (F2), then I can left and right around in the field. When finished with that cell, I press enter and realize I'm on the next row. So, if I'm not finished with the original row, I have to up arrow to get back to it.

Hi all,
I've just been given a Microsoft Excel sheet and I need to know how to read letter by letter in each column. It's a list of names and phone numbers and I need to be able to read especially the phone numbers one digit at a time. Thanks. Troy

I have been using Duo lingo for the past year and it works great. I'm not sure how the app on the phone is but the computer is awesome. Good luck. Shelly

Re: putting my Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboardin pairing mode
Troy Burnham
Thanks for the explanation Mike. I'm trying to pair it with just one
device, that being my iPhone, and it has been paired but this
morning when I couldn't get the keyboard to work I thought that
going into bluetooth settings on the phone and telling it to forget
the device so I could start over might be easier but as it turns out
it wasn't. I will try again though, as long as I know I'm using the
right keys on the keyboard then I'm sure I can get it done.

Re: logging into UPS my choice

I may've figured out my problem, I didn't notice the "I'm not a
robot" checkbox until just a few minutes ago. I checked that box,
but unfortunately by the time I found it I was locked out because of
too many attempts to log in. It said to wait a while and try again
so I'll wait and try again some time tomorrow.

Olusegun -- Victory Associates LTD, Inc.
Akshaya, if you use a smartphone, please take a good look at DuoLingo.
Since I'm in the Android universe, please go to the Google Play Store and grab the app from there. It is reasonably accessible; but be patient with it and, in due course, you'll be having tons of fun with the app. Good luck and don't forget to teach me whichever other language you happen to speak besides English; being a polyglot is real fun and I love it! Sincerely, Olusegun Denver, Colorado

This is the link they gave me when I got the email from them after signing up for UPS my choice. This is the link that allows me to change my profile. You should have gotten an email like the one I got after signing up with info about the UPS my choice program. That is all I have.

The Hadley Institute for the Blind has all accessible courses for learning languages and just about anything you want to learn. They are a correspondent institute. They are college accredited. People can also get their GED there. You can call student services. The number is escaping me at the moment. I have to look it up in my directory. You can also take their courses online. I take them through the mail. You are allowed to keep your braille and usb study materials. Hope that this helps.

Hi Troy,
The On / Off switch is on the left side edge
towards the back of the keyboard. Push this switch away from you to turn
the keyboard on.
Now go to the bluetooth settings on your device
and locate / select the Logitech Bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K380 when it
appears in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the pairing. Upon pairing, the status LED on the keyboard stops blinking and remains steady for 10 seconds, if you have enough vision to see this. After you get the phone paired to the 1st device,
the next time you turn the keyboard on press the, F1 key, to pair to the 1st
device. If you pair a 2nd device press the, F2 key, & for the 3rd
device press the, F3 key. Here's an example; The 1st device I paired
to the K380 was my iPhone and the 2nd device I paired was my wife's iPhone, so
if I want to use the K380 with my iPhone, I turn on the keyboard and press the,
F1 key, if I want to use the keyboard with my wife's iPhone I press the, F2 key,
after turning on the keyboard. I've never used the keyboard with more than
1 device at a time, so I'm not 100% sure how to switch between multiple
devices.
Take care. Mike. Sennt from my iBarstool.
