Re: Repeating a Time Reminder With a 3rd Gen Dot
Penny Golden
I have not found any way to make her give us repeated times.
Like, say, five minutes elapsed. I would love to be wrong on this; but the only way I see it happening is your setting your alarm for 4 minutes; and then re-setting it, every time it goes off. I sure wish it were otherwise.

Repeating a Time Reminder With a 3rd Gen Dot
Mike B
Hi All,
I would like my 3rd generation Amazon Dot to repeat or give me
a notification for a certain amount of time. What I mean is I'm creating
my own workout program on my treadmill and I would like the Dot to notify me
every 4 minutes for a 48 to 60 minute time frame. If this can be
done, I don't know, but I certainly wasn't able to give the correct command with
my previous attempts. If one of you knows the correct verbiage to tell
her, would you please tell me how I would ask her to do this? All help is
greatly appreciated. Thanks much.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Brighter Vision Technologies is currently hosting my website. Jackie McBride is totally blind and quite experienced and knowledgeable. She only charges annually and is only a phone call or email away if you have a problem. Her site URL is https://www.brighter-vision.com/.

Re: Facebook Messenger for Desktop
Abbie Taylor
If this is anything like the Facebook desktop app, it's not worth the effort. The best way I've found to send and receive messages through Facebook on a PC is by going to https://mbasic.facebook.com/home.php?ref_component=mbasic_home_logo&ref_page=XEventsDashboardHomeController&refid=25. When you get to this page, simply press Alt plus 4, and you'll be on a page where you can view and send messages.

Re: powered USB hubs
chris judge
It might not be square either. I have one at home that has a connecter that goes in to the hub that is flat, similar to the connecters found on the cables for some portable external hard drives. Look for either a square port on the hub, or a flat, elongated slot.

Re: Anybody Know If Any Software Defined Radio Applications Are Accessible with JAWS?
Evan Reese
Hi Steve,
I was asking about software packages you run on your computer. You still
have to connect something to detect the radio signals to your PC, but most of
the functions of the radio are performed with the software.
From what I’ve heard, there are all kinds of things you can do with it. But
the question is, is it accessible? I haven’t had much luck finding out so far.
Apparently, few, if any, blind people use it.

I have a friend in Iowa who would like some help with cortana. She can get the weather, but I think that is about it.
She had some dreadful computer advice, and then some high-handed computer help, if you can call it that. So I think now she has both the win 7 and win 10 computers running. Any help for her with her cortana commands would be so much appreciated. I have never seen Cortana, so can't help her much. Thanks so much. Penny pengold2@gmail.com

I have been e-mailing Hamilton beact; mr. coffee and black and decker. I have not received a response; guess my question did not warrant a response woe! There is 2 people in the house but, I used to have a 6 cup machine but, it bit the dust! So anyone out there that might have a machine that has a cool wall and has buttons instead of minues?
