Hi all,
Famus are you doublespacing? If so then you will get only 26 lines per page. Is your printer set for this? Ann P. -- Ann K. Re: MSWord lines per page
Mike B
Hi Fanus,
If you're running Jaws try the following:
1. While in Word press, Insert + 6, on the the number row to
open the Settings Center.
2. Down arrow to, Web / HTML / PDFs, and right arrow to
open.
3. Down arrow to, Navigation, and right arrow to
open.
4. In here you'll find a setting for lines per page, but I've
never played with this setting so I hope this does what you
want.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

Subject: [TechTalk] MSWord lines per page I am from the old school and I loved Word Perfect in the days of MSDos. My problem is that I have to use MSWord now and for some reason I only get 26 lines of text per page. Even if I change the font to Regular Normal and the size to 10. With WP I was used to 54 lines of text with a top and bottom margin of 1. Can someone please explain how to use MSWord to get more text on a page without making the font so small that it becomes difficult to read. Kind regards Fanus

I don't use Word but you likely have double space
on. Control 1, 1 on the main keyboard, tells Word to single space.
Control 2 tells Word to double space.
If you write an essay about Mars, you are really
going into space. (grin)

Re: Audible email list
Gene
I don't know if there is an audible list but there
is no reason not to ask here. The list is for discussing technology in
general. It isn't limited to computer and device technology.
Braille equipment or how to do things in Braille, for example, can be discussed. Braille is technology, reading and writing technology. Cooking and cooking equipment can be discussed. It would be getting offtopic if, for example, people started exchanging recipies, but problems with cooking, such as how you do something, or discussing cooking equipment, ovens, microwaves, etc. is on topic. Is there an email list for blind audible users or is it ok to ask audible questions here? I have problems understanding to download books using JAWS. Regards Fanus

Hi all:

To fix the problem, go to the Home ribbon and as you tab across the ribbon you should find the setting for show markers; its probably going to be set on so activate it and it should close the problem. I’m sorry I can’t be more specific as I’m currently using my Mac and away from a windows PC. If you can’t find it, give me a couple hours to check it. HTH Kerry

I believe this is a Word setting where such signs
are exposed. Others will probably be able to tell you more about
it.

Subject: [TechTalk] JAWS: Space Markers in Word Thanks to those of you who responded to my previous query about JAWS. I’ve been trying the demo but discovered an annoyance that only happens in Word. When I hit the spacebar in a document, JAWS creates a space marker instead of showing an actual space. These markers show up on my braille display and are read by speech. Is there a setting I can tweak to get rid of them? Thank you in advance for any help.

Good Evening,

One can set the time and date on the DM-720. I was unable to set either AM or PM. This is a great voice recorder but if the right menu choices are made, it can be one of the finest sound recorders. It can record the lowest organ tones and the high frequencies associated with the various gadgets used by percussionists. Joe Giovanellli, W2PVY

Hi, Most in the dm series have voice feedback as does the ls-p4 one model which allows you to even set the time with voice feedback if you are concerned about such. I hope that helps. Robin

Hi, I use an Olympus DM 620 and it is accessible, with voice. I think the latest model is the DM 720. I cannot change or set the time and date but all else is accessible and easy to use.

Anybody got either scripts for this with N V D A or JAWS? It's a file
sharing program and can't seem to get what they say is supposed to show up on the window. Thanks, Nance -- Nancy Shackelford --Walk On Faith And Trust In Love - Michael Reid--

Olympus digital recorders?
Vicky Vaughan
Hi List, I Googled this line of digital recorders and nothing was said about any voice feedback.
Does this whole line not have any accessibility or do some particular models have some accessibility?
I would be grateful for any information, since I am totally blind and looking for a digital recorder for music lessons.
Thanks very much!
Sincerely, Vicky V

Windows 10 microphone help needed
Steven Johnson
Good day everyone. I have a headset from Dragon NaturallySpeaking with a microphone on a gooseneck attached to it, plugged into the computer with a 3.5 mm jack. I have had trouble with low levels from the mic although the microphone volume in sound settings is cranked up to 100% When I looked at my input device under sound settings, my microphone is shown as “line in,” with no choice for a microphone. When I unplug the microphone from the computer and plug it back in, Windows doesn’t ask what kind of device I am plugging in like it did back in the Windows 7 days. My problem is that of low sound levels from the mic, and I am wondering if my computer thinks that my mic is a line-in source. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Does one have to buy blueTooth stuff in sets to be sure that frequencies match? Or are the frequencies standerdized? On 1/27/2020 7:53 AM, Monte Single wrote:
