Re: MSWord lines per page

I don't create documents except for my own
use. For the kinds of things I do, I use Notepad. They are generally
things like lists of links I want to keep that I don't want to bookmark such as
spotify links, to use not in a browser, lists of books I might want to read, and
those sorts of things. If I want to create a word processor document, I
have Wordpad, Jarte, and Word 10 starter edition, but I almost never use any of
them.

Hello Gene So, what do you use for document creation? I do not need a very feature full program but it must be able to tell when it goes to page two etc. when typing documents. I do miss Word Perfect very, very much. Regards Fanus

I don't use Word but you likely have double space on. Control 1, 1 on the main keyboard, tells Word to single space. Control 2 tells Word to double space.

Hi all,
Famus, you have to select the text first. Do a ctrl-a then do your ctrl1, that's the one on the top row, not the number pad. Ann P. -- Ann K. Word Try this. I have Word started edition.
But you may well find the same thing in your version of Word. In the home
ribbon, tab until you get to things dealing with fonts. Keep tabbing and
see if you get to a show all button. If it is indicated as being pressed,
press the space bar on it. Even if it isn't pressed, press the space
bar. You can always toggle it to the other setting. This will
probably solve your problem.
This setting, when on, shows a lot for formatting
codes in documents you don't usually see. And I tested with an old version
of NvDA. It didn't see the code when I had show all on. it just said
space. Evidently, the current version, assuming that is what you are using,
doesn't show these codes either.

Re: Audible downloading book to pc
Fanus
Hello list I changed the subject, so thanks to Gene for your response. I am confused because there is an audible manager pc app and an audible pc app. When running the Audible app I can get to the name of the book and I can play it but I can not get the place on my pc where the file is stored. There is an Audible folder in documents and one in Users / public but both folders are empty. In Audible manager nothing shows in the library. My main objective is to get Audible books onto the Victor Stream which I did register in the Audible Manager app. Can someone please solve my confusion and explain how to download an Audible book. I must admit that I subscribed to Audible two weeks ago so this is my first book so I do not know if one can not download the trial book, however I could download and read it on my iPad. Re: JAWS: Space Markers in Word
Abbie Taylor
I'm not finding the option to remove space markers in either the home ribbon or the options. Since this doesn't happen with NVDA, I'm assuming it's a JAWS issue. But if someone knows how I can fix it in Word, I'm all ears.

Re: MSWord lines per page

Hi Fanus,
If you're running Jaws try the following:
1. While in Word press, Insert + 6, on the the number row to
open the Settings Center.
2. Down arrow to, Web / HTML / PDFs, and right arrow to
open.
3. Down arrow to, Navigation, and right arrow to
open.
4. In here you'll find a setting for lines per page, but I've
never played with this setting so I hope this does what you
want.
Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

My problem is that I have to use MSWord now and for some reason I only get 26 lines of text per page. Even if I change the font to Regular Normal and the size to 10. Braille equipment or how to do things in Braille, for example, can be discussed. Braille is technology, reading and writing technology. Cooking and cooking equipment can be discussed. It would be getting offtopic if, for example, people started exchanging recipies, but problems with cooking, such as how you do something, or discussing cooking equipment, ovens, microwaves, etc. is on topic.
