Re: Test, please let me know if it's received?

Cristóbal

You know, I never really concerned myself with testing to see if my messages
get through, but with the bombardment of recent test messages regarding the
same, I have come to realize that indeed, every time I send something to
this list or any other Groups.io mailing list I'm a member of, my messages
do show up in my inbox. I'm pretty sure this isn't the case for the
GoogleGroups lists or other lists hosted by other services, but now, I'll
have to pay more attention.
I am a Gmail user and I do recall that one could type in recent: before
their email address in their email client settings, but I haven't done this
in years. I found it to be simply one more email that needed deletion.

It is not a matter of whether some users find it annoying and I can see no
reason to be offended by your personal preference. It is more that some
users may find it useful for the purposes of determining if their messages
are being received by the list.

Possibly, but it is probably still worth determining if this problem is specific to earlier versions of JAWS or just one user.

Well, the thing is why not just down load the demo of jaws17 and use it for this or use NVDA for this.

I guess we will have to see if there are any other members running JAWS 14 who can test as this was not my experience.  I am able to tab to the list of results when the scan is complete without the need to route JAWS to the PC cursor.  It is a table type control with rows and columns.  When the scan is complete, as I said immediately after the list I see a button labeled

"Remove Selected Enter"

which I can also reach with tab navigation.  In the meantime, if you have NVDA installed you should try it with Malwarebytes instead of JAWS since my experience with NVDA was basically the same.

Were you able to actually run and complete the scan?  Based on your comment that you can get to the list of results I am assuming the answer is yes, but when the scan is complete you should also see a button labeled

"Remove Selected Enter"

immediately after the list of results.  If you are not seeing this button, it makes me wonder if the scan was started and completed.  I am running JAWS 15, but I cannot imagine any differences between 14 and 15 which should affect whether you can see this button.

Hello Jessica,

This message was received.

To any other members reading this, Jessica is dissatisfied that her questions are not being answered. Unfortunately, at this point I cannot tell if this is for more obvious reasons or if some of her messages are simply not being received by the list. I explained to Jessica some of the more mundane reasons why she might occasionally not receive replies, but I also recall certain members discussing issues with Gmail and mailing lists. I don't remember the specifics so if anyone has further information relating to issues with Gmail, please reply. Just because this particular message came through, doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't a problem.
