This is an illegal program.  No legal version of Eloquence is free.  Discussion of illegal software that encourages or helps with its use isn't allowed on the list.  As I interpret the situation, those who want to point out the danger of a certain piece of illegal software, such as that it includes a Trojan, would seem to me to be alright.

It doesn't matter what my personal view is on the subject, nor that of other list owners.  List owners who want to protect their lists legally don't allow such discussion.  A list may be closed down for allowing such discussion if the owners of a list serve discover that such discussion is allowed.  It places them at legal liability from the owner of the software being discussed.

 Hello,
Is Eloquence compatible with the new NVDA 19.3?
It's the best synthesizer out there and I wouldn't want to lose it to the new NVDA updates.  If someone could also tell me whether the ETI Eloquence found on Jeff's repository is functional with NVDA 19.3, it would be very helpful.

Re: Pontes Media Downloaded Issue

Gene

I never liked the recent versions of Pontes Media downloader.  I don't know why this was done, but a built in version of JAVA was used and the interface gives you less information about downloads and conversions.  I don't just want to know that a download is in progress.  It is customary to do what the old versions did, give a percentage and tell you if it is of a download or of a conversion.

I don't know if this is true of other formats, but older versions have a serious design problem for those wanting to download and convert to MP3.  You don't get a choice as to the conversion parameters, and those used are not those serious music listeners would use, that is, those who care about sound quality.

Therefore, I download as wave, then I use a conversion program to convert to MP3.  I use switch.

Michael,
in the applications folder/settings,
there's set time,
alarm, stopwatch, and scheduler.
the time zone, and format is found in the options.
unfortunately, I haven't found such thing as yet.
although I follow the manual steps.

It may be wrong, but I think its most likely what is meant.  Since I consider it far more likely than other possibilities and since the way to get system information can be briefly and easily given, I did so.

Hi Vicki,
We need some clarification here,
What do you mean by "System Volume Infromation"?
"System Volume Information" This is a folder on each drive on your computer,
and not to be confused with
"System Volume Control"
which does what the name  implies.
It is important to use the correct terminology when asking for help, to
prevent a lot of mis-information.
So, what can we help you with?

You can turn off all notifications.  I don't recall a way to turn them off for one specific site, though someone may tell you.

I'll let you know how later in the day if someone hasn't already.

Subject: [TechTalk] How do I get rid of the spam Sendspace popup ad notifications?

I have a paid Sendspace account and use the Wizard to download files
but I keep getting these popup notifications from Sendspace with spam
ads like How to Emtpy Your Bowels Every Morning and stuff like that.
Since I'm a paid Wizard using member, I don't understand why I'm
getting this crap.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi, Michael;
another thing I'm trying to do with his braille edge,
he wants to set the clock to 12 hour, and he wants to set the times zone.
I went into options, but I don't see such settings.
I agree with you, the braille edge manual is very difficult to follow.

thanks for your help.

Hi David. Thanks for sharing. I will remember that one. I find it difficult to find fixes for HIMS products sometimes. Their manuals are not all that clear. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Michael,
ok, got the problem solved.
got the fixx from the braille display list.

To put it into typing mode for braille entry with JAWS, press, space+backspace+t Then it should work

Hi David. I am researching this issue. I have had this happen to me before, but honestly it's been awhile.

hi, I think he just wants to open word or notepad, even email new message, and he wants to type his messages, or notes using the edge.

when he opens notepad, and presses the letter a, he heares, attributes, line, structured, speech output.

Hi David. Can you be a little more specific as to what type of data he wants to input into the document? I use a Hims model called the QBraille which uses many of the same braille features that the Braille Edge does.
