Hi Everybody:

Could this Android app make FACING THE BOOK less intimidating for Facebook enthusiasts? It's FREE for about another 24 hours, why not give it a try?

This one may not be available in the Apple garden, but for Androideans, it could be a blessed game changer. Grab the app from the Play Store link indicated here but, before you do, please take a brief moment to read more about Sunshine Apps offering description of the Maki Plus:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sunshine.maki&hl=en_US

Description:

" Most of Facebook apps are trying to provide you as many features as possibly forgetting about quality, stability, and your privacy by tracking your app usage and earning money on your personal data.

That's why Maki is the right choice for you - well-designed, quick & comfortable for every day using a Facebook app that doesn't track you, have Messenger with audio & video calls included, and a lot more features inside.

Ÿ˜ FACEBOOK AND MESSENGER AS A LOVELY PAIR

Oh, hi, Mark. It was a bad idea to slice one app into two huge apps for messaging and other activity on Facebook. But don't worry - Maki is fixing that problem, so everyone now can enjoy both Facebook and Messenger in a single app without spending a lot of space on the phone.

Ÿ"¹ FACEBOOK VIDEO DOWNLOADER

Easily download Facebook videos and share them anywhere you want.

Ÿ˜Ž NO ADS

A cherry on the top of the pie - no advertising at all from us and Facebook. And remember - everything that happens in Maki stays between you and Facebook.

Ÿ"- AUTOMATIC NIGHT THEME

Maki is also want to save your eyes at nighttime - enable dark mode to easily keep browsing Facebook at night. Or use AMOLED mode on devices with AMOLED screen (for example, Samsung) to save even more battery life. You can set start and end time of the night theme and it will be enabled automatically.

ŸŒŸ MORE FEATURES TO GO:

AUDIO & VIDEO CALLS
Call your friends on Facebook chat to see their happy and grateful smiles after your recommendation to install Maki.

PRIVACY
Set up a passcode lock with fingerprint support to protect your data from not welcomed guests.

FACEBOOK VIDEOS
Don't forget that you are able to download Facebook videos easily - that will allow you to share them everywhere.

Maki Plus offers a few additional features compared to the free version:

No ads
Maki doesn't contain ads by default, but with Maki Plus you can remove advertising from Facebook feed (advertising by Facebook) as well.

Automatic night theme
You can enable the dark theme automatically in a selected range of hours (for example, at night, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.).

Quickbar
Enables you to quickly access socials from notifications tray.

Block app usage
Set time ranges when you don't want to be distracted by social networks.

Block pages
You can disable the loading of some pages to prevent distraction or content that you don't like.

Are you ready to join our journey and help us to build the best Facebook app? It's free! Jump in and let's go!

hi
Why not buy the orbit writer from www.orbitresearch.com for $99. This will give you six-dot entry into any application you want on the computer. If your computer does not have bluetooth, just get a bluetooth to USB adapter for 3 or $5 on amazon?

I had to do this when I changed my email address a few years ago, but I don't remember how I did it. I was probably able to do it on m.facebook.com. That's where I usually go to change settings. It might be under something like "personal." Good luck.

Subject: [TechTalk] accessible COVID-19 statistics?

Hi all,

I have 2 different sites for accessible COVID-19 stats, one is called A11Y COVID-19 and the other is just accessible COVID-19 and this site is updated by Tyler Littlefield. I just compared the 2 sites by looking at the stats for Texas since that's where I live, and on the A11Y site it shows the daily cases for today as 1599 whereas the accessible COVID-19 stats site shows daily cases as 84. Since there's such a difference in these 2 numbers does anybody know where these 2 sites are getting their numbers? Is there a site that folks have found to be more accurate?
Incidentally based on the last few days I'd be more likely to believe the higher of the above numbers but even that seems high given that the day's not over yet. Texas has been averaging above 1000 new cases each day lately, but it's usually between 1100 and 1300.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I think there's a setting you can tweak, so sites won't remember you when you try to log in. i'm not sure what it is. So, unless someone else has better information, I suggest you go to your settings and do some exploring. I hope you find it.

You want to use the Applications key to open the context menu or Shift + F10, the navigate to, New, press enter then press enter on, Folder.

Or, just press, control, shift + N, to create a folder.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

Re: Electronic Keyboards, the conclusion

Dave

Hello Walter,

It sounds like you enjoy Playing when you wish to play, and that you are
not at all interested in becoming an expert in playing with the Dozens
of Settings found in today Beastly Digital Pianos.

You mentioned thinking of spending up to 9 grand for something. Sounds
like me and Guitars.  Guitar is my first Instrument, and Piano is
something I just use to play around.

Some of the lesser priced models will probably work for you fine.  Just
need to find the one that sounds the best, and then try to resist
spending more than you actually need to spend to get what you can use,
and enjoy.

I have bought Amps and Guitar Pedals, that cost me Big Bucks and they
had so many Features, some not accessible, the end result was I rarely
used them.  Eventually sold them, and sold them off just to get rid of
them, losing loads of money in the sale.

I am sure you will find a Piano that sounds the way you can enjoy, and
you'll need to fight off the temptation to buy something more expensive.

Grumpy Dave

I have been watching this site
https://infographics.channelnewsasia.com/covid-19/map.html
to find that the numbers don't add up.  For any particular country, the number of deaths plus the number of recoveries should equal the total cases, right?  This never seems to happen.

Re: Talking clock radio

Pamela Dominguez

I’ve had a couple of clockradios that had pretty decent sound.  I mean, not high fidelity, but the last one I had had a pretty decent amount of bass.  I think that was the Sony Dream machine.  The one before that just sounded like a regular radio, but it had pretty good reception.  The only problem with that was that I had to have a sighted person set that one.  Pam.

I don't use a clock radio because I have an alarm that is loud enough on my cellular feature phone and smart phones have such alarms as well.

another reason is that traditionally, clock radios have had significantly inferior sound and I considered it to be a bad use of money when I could get a radio with much better sound for the same price or perhaps less, I never priced talking clock radios.  Is what used to be true still true, that clock radios have worse sound?

I can set alarms verbally, ask unlimited questions, and listen to all kinds of radio stations.
It cost less than 20 u s dollars  on sale  at bestbuy just after Christmas.

Do you ever bother to check your messages before you send them? The forwarded message is from four years ago, and the information about theCobolt radio is probably outdated, if it is even still available in the first place.  The Sangean PR-D17 is now the new standard for a talking AM/FM clock radio, and Amazon is still selling it for $85, and you won't have to wait months for delivery like you would if you ordered it from overseas, if you could even order it from Cobolt in the first place:

In short, no. You could call amazon disability support and ask them to see
if, in the product image, there is a sticker on the label indicating such.
