Did you try the alt-shift-k key combo as I had suggested? That’s the one I use here if I need to make sure it’s centered.

Btw I tried the alt-ctrl-k command and nothing happened. It could be that one of my speakers just doesn't work anymore because the set is quite old. I honestly can't tell if both speakers are on when I'm just using the laptop, it's only obvious when I'm listening to something with winamp.

Okay thanks. What winamp window do I need to be in for the volume with up and down arrows to work as well as b and z to go forward and backward through files? All of this used to work for me until fairly recently, and I don't remember if I was playing around with something or what but now it isn't working that way anymore.

Any such things as to what is displayed, table notifications, heading notifications, spelling error notifications, etc. will very likely be in the document formatting dialog, NVDA key d.  I just checked and that setting is there, as I thought.

See this article.

As you will see, the wording of the message may help solve the problem.  I read most of the article and I saw no reference to a server, though it may have come later.

Whatever the case, the article may be helpful.

Re: RPC Server Not Found Message

The problem was the computer giving the error message was not connecting or linked to the correct home network as the computer with the printer software.  I had changed the name of my computer several months ago and it took my wife's computer this long to see the change.  So, once I got my wife's computer on the same network as mine everything is good again.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

switching log in email address in facebook

Keith S

Hi, I asked this question earlier in the week and was told by one member that she could not remember exactly how to do this.

I did a help search from inside facebook and it said something about clicking on a 3 dot symbol and then selecting from a drop down menu that opens.

Is this  possible on a windows 10 compuger running jaws?

Seems like every application and/or program out there (at least the ones made by microsoft) have hotkey buttons and keystrokes you can use but Facebook apparrently has not caught on.

Ponse media downloader even has hotkeys a blind person can use, though I honestly don't use them, instead I simply use the tab key to navigate around.

But I digress,

I added an additional email address to my facebook account, but the original email I entered to make the account is still listed as the primary log in email.

these 3 dot thingie is supposed to open a menu to make the needed changes, but like I said, I have never come across 3 dots (due to being blind) to get this done.

Any help?

Thanks

Keith

Of course, the certifications which have been discussed so far are specific to blindness technology. One which goes a bit beyond that is the CPACC, which I am hoping to obtain before the end of the year. You can read about this from the above link.

Re: winamp equalizer

If you are using JAWS, use the command control alt k, while in Winamp to return the balance to its usual setting.

If you are in the Winamp equalizer window, pressing the right and left arrow keys changes the balance, or what Winamp calls "panning."  The command I gave allows you to set it back to normal, even if you aren't in that window.  I just tried it in the main window.  When you are in the equalizer window, nothing is spoken if you use the left and right arrow keys so you need to use this command to know when the balance is at its default.

You should be able to get your sound back in the center with the key combo alt-shift-k. You can do this either in the equalizer window, or in the main Winamp window.
