Re: winamp not starting automatically

Hi Troy,

If you are using Windows 10, you might want to consider getting the new beta of Winamp from www.winamp.com

In order to make Winamp work, I had to uninstall all traces of Winamp from my machine and then install the beta. It works quite well now.

Hope this helps if you don’t find another solution.

Thank you.  I will consider it very seriously.  Having done a little learning of what I was doing, using an AIRA agent, I am wondering if I would just prefer to stay with my Polaris and HIMS units, and let someone else have the Braille ME.

Thanks. I haven't give it up yet, though.

I am glad to know that Mystic Access has a tutorial on it.

Thanks again.

I do not know but, are they onyoutube? ? I think if you purchases a braille me, it should come with instructions on how to use it, you should not have to pay for the lessons! But, that is just me? That is my 2 cents worth! Always try youtube before you buy lessons that should have come with your unit! Cheers Heather

Re: AMD processors

The current AMD processors absolutely obliterate the current intel processors in performance and power usage. So they are more than  a match for the intel ones. You also don't run any different software for them. However, if you would like to wait about 3-4 months, AMD is going to release their next generation of desktop processors, that brings another dramatic improvement to performance.

Problem with correct email address in Outlook 2013.

I have Windows10, Outlook 2013, and JAWS.

Mistakenly, I put dot net on an address and sent several
emails, which came back. I had also included this address in
a group.

So, I have since corrected the address in my address book,
and deleted the group and set it up again - seems easier to
do it that way with Outlook.

Mu problem is that it still wants that person's emails sent
to dot net, according to the Mail Delivery system? What can
I do to get the net cookie out of my address

Hello Vicky:

You wrote in part:

"While I can manage the almost $10 each month, I don't think I could swing
2 or three times that amount, to have Spotify on multiple devices."

I'm sorry dear sis if my previous post wasn't very clear! Let me try
again; if you're going to be the SOLE SUBSCRIBER to Spotify, and you are
NOT A STUDENT, the individual subscription is your best bet. You will be
able to use Spotify on all of your smart toy devices: iPhone, Android,
tablet, iPad, Windows. You WILL NOT NEED a separate login for any of
these; the login details you create will suffice and all your music and
podcast choices should sync across the board.

If, however, you have friends and/or family members you wish to share
Spotify with, the $14.99 monthly subscription will be in play. Each person
will have to be added by you before such a one can configure Spotify to
his or her liking.

Of course, you can use Spotify for free! Doing this does limit what you
can do, and you'll have all the ads to put up with. I think that with FREE
SPOTIFY, you can not create your own playlist.

I hope this note is a tad clearer, if not, I'll try again!

Sincerely,

To me,

An adaptive technology trainer  is a fairly broad brush stroke.

It could cover such things as;

Operating systems,

Screen readers,

Word processing,

Spreadsheets,

Data bases,

Power point presentations,

Scanning and  o c r applications,

I don’t think there is one-stop-shopping for all these catagories and all the ones I did not mention.

But, Access technology is a good place to start.

Well, judge, it’s just not fair,  you people on the east coast of Canada, including those of my sibling who live there  are having such poor weather on this long weekend.

Things will improve.

Hell, here on the northern prairie,  people use their barbeques at 30 below.

re-building win10

Nancy Hill

Sunday was a very trying day for me as I destroyed everything that was on my laptop.  Luckily, I had a back-up flash drive and that restored software to when I got the machine...more or less.

Right now I am using win10, jaws20 and Thunderbird.

I had many things on a folder on my machine, but, that is gone. So, please bear with me as I ask questions that I once had the answer to.

In my TB, I am getting all sorts of messages that are blocked. How do I get to where I need to go to open up things a bit so I don't have to go through emails one by one to allow them?

Also, how do I adjust settings so I will not get announcements each time I get a new email?

At this point, I am just thankful that I had the restore flash drive.

Thanks for your help and patience!

Nancy
