Re: Looking for a Braille Me Lesson

Penny Golden

I learned a lot from having my AIRA agent look at things, show them to me, etc.

I found the manual a little less accessible than I would like.

And I am afraid that I am finding the Braille ME a little more trouble than I wish to handle.

I am amazed that it comes up in grade 1 braille, though I ought not to be.  And I recognize that it is at the low end of the price spectrum, but the device cannot be set to grade 2 and left there. no, whenever one opens a document, I believe, one has to set it to grade 2.

Not a problem, but I think the drawbacks, minor as they may be, are serious enough that i will not want to add this device to my arsenal.

I received it in payment of a debt.  I'm glad the debt is paid. and now I think I'll try to find a buyer.

All best, Penny

I just found the download button with a check box right by it. I hit
that checkbox and it says it's downloading. Think Spotify has a folder

I have Spotify on my computer and there is supposed to be a download button if you want to download the files, at least for the podcasts. I had someone else open up their program, and the button was there for her.

Does anyone else have a problem with the download button showing up? Also, once it's downloaded, what format is it in?

I am using JAWS 2020.

Thanks.

Keith,

The item you want is account settings.  To the sighted it appears as either 3 dots or 3 verticle lines.  Click to expand the menu.

Arrow down to settings and press enter to open it.

move by heading to the general settings heading.

Expand the contacts menu.

Down arrow until you come to emails.

Your current email is shown.

Keep arrowing down to the add email button.

Add the email you want to use as your new user ID.

You will receive two emails.  One will go to your current primary account telling you that a new email was added.

The other goes to the new email address asking you to confirm it.

Press the confirm button.

Reopen Facebook and navigate back to the emails dialog.

You will see both the old and new emails listed.  There will be a checkbox labeled primary or something similar.  Check it for the new email and you should be all set.

Hi Troy,

If you are using Windows 10, you might want to consider getting the new beta of Winamp from www.winamp.com

In order to make Winamp work, I had to uninstall all traces of Winamp from my machine and then install the beta. It works quite well now.

Hope this helps if you don’t find another solution.

Re: AMD processors

The current AMD processors absolutely obliterate the current intel processors in performance and power usage. So they are more than  a match for the intel ones. You also don't run any different software for them. However, if you would like to wait about 3-4 months, AMD is going to release their next generation of desktop processors, that brings another dramatic improvement to performance.

I have Windows10, Outlook 2013, and JAWS.

Mistakenly, I put dot net on an address and sent several
emails, which came back. I had also included this address in
a group.

So, I have since corrected the address in my address book,
and deleted the group and set it up again - seems easier to
do it that way with Outlook.

Mu problem is that it still wants that person's emails sent

I do to get the net cookie out of my address

Hello Vicky:

You wrote in part:

"While I can manage the almost $10 each month, I don't think I could swing
2 or three times that amount, to have Spotify on multiple devices."

I'm sorry dear sis if my previous post wasn't very clear! Let me try
again; if you're going to be the SOLE SUBSCRIBER to Spotify, and you are
NOT A STUDENT, the individual subscription is your best bet. You will be
able to use Spotify on all of your smart toy devices: iPhone, Android,
tablet, iPad, Windows. You WILL NOT NEED a separate login for any of
these; the login details you create will suffice and all your music and
podcast choices should sync across the board.

If, however, you have friends and/or family members you wish to share
Spotify with, the $14.99 monthly subscription will be in play. Each person
will have to be added by you before such a one can configure Spotify to
his or her liking.

Of course, you can use Spotify for free! Doing this does limit what you
can do, and you'll have all the ads to put up with. I think that with FREE
SPOTIFY, you can not create your own playlist.

I hope this note is a tad clearer, if not, I'll try again!

Sincerely,
Olusegun
