Re: added num pad to laptop

You may have to get specific brand and model recommendations. Also, is yours a USB or some other kind of connection? From comments I've seen on one or two lists in the past, many don't work.

Was there any kind of disc to install a program for it? By any chance, does it show up in device manager? Have you tried a different USB port? I wonder if Windows Defender could have blocked the drivers from being installed?

Take care. Mike. Sent from my iBarstool.

I don't have a clue as to if this will work, but I wonder what would happen if you went into the Jaws context menu, Insert + J, Options / Basics and changed the keyboard layout to, desktop, just to see if that would help any?

I'm curious why you want it. Do you want it for playing games? As a dictionary, it can't begin to compare even with something like Word Web.

Hi. I have a very old Franklin Language Master which has a cracked
screen and crackling speakers that I'd like to get repaired, assuming
that a repair of this product is even possible in 2020. Franklin's Web
site reports that it is under construction and then redirects to Amazon.
Does anyone have current contact info for Franklin Electronic
Publishers, assuming that this division is even still operational?

Loy:

On the main Amazon page, there is a link that is titled, 'click to call our disability line', and then the number.

Just go into links mode and use first letter identification and hit the 'c' key until you get to that link.

They are very helpful

Re: Needing Excel Help

Ann Parsons

Hi all,

Actually, this isn't an Excel problem, it's a math problem. Fifteen minutes is 25% of an hour, 1/4 in other words. You don't need to deal with the .6 which is 1% of 60. If you have a column in your spreadsheet that is labeled hours, what you do is simply write down the number of hours in the formula they want for each session. Then, in the next column you label it total hours and in the first cell below the title you write sum(d4:d15) or whatever the range of cells you've got in your hours column. If you send me your email addy, I'll send you a sample spread sheet. You can modify it to fit your needs. I do this all the time with my own students. I'll send you one of those spreadsheets with the name removed. Please advise.

Original message:

Hello,
Any Excel users on the List?
I am using Office 365, (Latest Edition)
My employer keeps track of Hours Worked by 15 minutes sections of time.
So if I work 8 hours and 15 minutes, they want me to write down my hours
as 8.25
Or if I worked 8 hours and 45 minutes, they want me to write down 8.75
As you can tell, the hours are correct, but the minutes are kept track
by dividing the hour into 100 parts, instead of the typical 60 parts per
hour.
I want to write a Formula to add up my total hours per pay period, so it
gets the hours correct, and the minutes correct, but using the 100 parts
per hour example.
I am not an Excel Pro,nor even a Beginner, but I can enter the info in
the write Cells, and write simple Formulas, and that's about it.
Anyone know how to do what I need?
Thanks ahead of time for any help with this.
Grumpy Dave
