Hi.

It depends on how much you want to spend.

Also, are you looking at replacing the cable modem? or would you want to buy a router that plugs into the modem?

Thanks.

Re: 3d printing

heather albright

I was thinking now, we can just 3d print our parts  to make our braille displays so they would be cheaper; the embossers would be cheaper; electric braille labeler makers would be cheaper etc. It has not happened this way, wonder why? So is the cost of 3d printing off set the cost of making these items or has 3d printing not cost effective enough to make these items? I read about people being able to 3d print houses which is much larger than say a braille display or embosser so, why are makers of blindness products not taking advantage of this technology?

Are there any mailing lists, web pages, facebook groups etc dedicated to this aspect of 3d printing that anyone is aware of please?

Bonus points of course, for something which works with NVDA :)

On the iPhone, there is an option, I think, right after you flick to Block this Caller, and you double tap on Unblock. I see no reason to fool with it, since I have not blocked individuals. Thank heavens that at this point in my life, I don't have that much tension between myself and any individual to bother with blocking.

I know that I'm late to this discussion but haven't been on the computer yet today. In answer to your question about blocked callers, to my knowledge, when you block someone, they will remain blocked until you unblock them. You can go into phone and I don't know the full process of doing this but you can see all of the people you have blocked when you click block calls and you can either leave them there or delete them. When you delete them, you can get text and calls from them again. Even when you do this, I doubt you would hear from them because depending on how long they have been blocked, they have probably given up trying to reach you. I have a list of blocked calls and I haven't deleted any. There is no need to. There is also no time limit of how long they will stay blocked. They will not unblock themselves. You will have to do that if you so wish. I hope I have helped with this.
Sorry, I am not tech savvy so I don't know all of the menus and detailed instructions because I don't do it that much. I just know it's there.

That’s all I really want them for.  No smart stuff in my  home except me of course.  Imagine cartoonimage of me eating crow.

Sometimes, the simplest question generates  “don’t know” response,  and my immediate response is to say something definitely rude.

…and I feel really stupid;  yelling at a piece of plastic.

I found these minis  on sale at bestbuy in the new year.

If I see a basic echo at a good price I’ll get one.

I find google is better at giving information, recipes and such. The echo integrates better with my entertainment system as I can play anything from apple music to any room in my house through the sonos system. I like the echo better for it’s alarm and notification sounds. I probably use the echos more than the google over all. I have several smart plugs and lights, not that I can see them lol, and they work well with both the google home and echo. I’m sure others can share their experiences as well.
