Re: Accessible Sip client for smart phone's.

Zoiper is actually pretty good on android and IOS.

I just wish there was a better client for windows than microsip. My biggest issue with it is that i can't have multiple accounts registered at the same time.

Someone mentioned zoiper in this thread, It is worth noting, zoiper can
not transfer calls with the free version, that is a feature you have to
pay for.

This is another instance where the exact same question was asked on multiple groups at the same time.  It was answered, completely and promptly, on the Windows 10 for Screen Reader Users group:  sleep function?

The information there should prove useful to you as well, but there is no reason to repeat it here.  Just activate the previously supplied link.

I've noticed the same issue with my Windows Desktop PC. It asks for my password. So, if I don't need my computer for more than an hour or so, I just shut it down. I hope that helps.

Re: visual studio

Dave

Hi Marvin,

Yes, you are correct.  However, when the Editor opens, it already holds a few lines of Code.

I only want the Editor to open, without this extra Code.

I wish to type in what ever lines of Code will be used in this program.

Any ideas?

Here, where I live, they don't want you to put shredded paper in the recycle bin. I would check with your waste collection company to find out first.

Re: Jaws Only Reads when Using Say Line Keystroke

Hi Tom & David,

That must have been it, but if so, I wonder why speech wouldn't work in Jaws16.  The, Insert + S, in Jaws16 toggles speech on / off.  Somewhere along the line it fixed itself and I'm assuming that was from a couple of reboots.  Thank you both very much for your input!  A keeper for sure!

It sounds to me like you have Speech on demand on.

Do the layered keystroke, insert spacebar. Then press S, like sam. It should say full speech, if it says speech on demand, go through the process again.

Hi All,

Running Windows 7, Word 2010 and Jaws 16, thru J2021.  I don't know what happened but, when reading an old or new Word .DOCX file Jaws of any version will not read line by line when down or up arrowing, Jaws will only read when using the say line keystroke, Insert + up arrow.  Jaws doesn't report blank lines or anything unless using the say line keystroke.

I know I'm missing something but, for the life of me I don't know what.  Call it a senior moment a major brain fart or severe brain cramp, but I'm having all of them!  Would someone tell me what setting or settings I should be checking?  I'm obviously overlooking something and don't have a clue as to what it is.

All help is greatly appreciated!  Thanks mooy moocho.

I wonder if JAWS is set for speech on demand. Press insert-space, followed by S. Does that help?

Visual Studio Questions0

Dave

00Hello,

I ju0st started to use Microsoft's Visual Studio to Write and Compile C
Sharp Code.

0

So far, I have yet to learn how to open up the editor in Visual Studio
to just start writing Code from Scratch.

So far, I need to go through the process of Creating a new application,
which puts me into the editor, but also brings in some Code fragments,
examples etc.  I do not need these extra bits of Code, and would like to
just open the editor to a blank screen, starting the cursor0 at line 1.

I did call the Microsoft Help Desk for the Disabled, but was told they
didn't support Visual Studio, and that I needed to call the normal Tech
channels, which probably means I will need to Pay for the Support, which
I do not intend to do.

So, thought I might ask here before I spent time looking else where.

Anyone know how to open up the editor in VS, to a blank screen, ready to
accept Code being typed into place?

Thanks ahead of time,

Grumpy Dave

Yes you are right.
I use Microsip on my computer.
I will work from my home and Zoiper is not required for me.
Only the principal and vice principals will use the Zoiper program.

I will only transfer calls anyway and I am using Microsip on the computer.
Other managers will not transfer calls.
They will only make phone calls to the people I transfer their calls to.
Zoiper program not enough?

Re: thinking of buying a paper shredder

Ann Parsons

Hi Josh,

Me, I'd go for simple. I have one here, has one button with three settings.

Your shredded stuff should go in the recycling been, unless your local animal shelter can use them. Mine does. they use it for the puppies' and kittens' cages. It's much easier to clean up than other things.
