Ok, I used the link you provided, and I press control plus f to use Jaws's find command, but jaws doesn't say anything at all when I arrow down. I tabbed, but still couldn't find any download link. I also went through the page, and I saw a download link, and I pressed enter on it, but nothing downloaded. I even tried using the Jaws cursor, but still couldn't find the real download link. Any other suggestions? Janet

Then, if the copy you are using becomes corrupted, you don't have to trouble shoot. Just delete it and copy the backup copy to the location from which you run it. Here is the page: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable Use your screen-readers find command and search for the word download. After about three occurrences, you wwill see something like download version and a number will be given, as you down arrow. That is the download link you want. It will download an exe file. the file won't install anything, it’s a portable version, but it will place the files on your machine in a folder, just as an installer does. Run the program from that folder and you can send the file, firefox.exe you use to run it to the desktop as a shortcut and run it from there. You can create a shortcut command as well using the desktop shortcut. In other words, by making a desktop shortcut and then assigning a shortcut command, you can run the program as easily and conveniently as if it were installed. Re: Refresher needed on how to switch between browsers
David Moore <jesusloves1966@...>
You can open both browsers at the same time . You can press enter on edge from your desktop, and then press windows and m to go back to the desktop, and press enter on firefox. Now, you can simply alt tab between the two opened browsers. You can have different browser sessions opened for each browser. If you get mixed up which browser you are in, just press insert and t to hear the title of the window and it will say Firefox or edge. Make sure an icon for each browser is on your desktop. You could also create a shortcut to open each browser like alt control and f for firefox, and ALT control m for Microsoft edge. To do that, go to the icon on your desktop and press Alt plus enter. Then, just tab to the shortcut key edit box, and press the key command alt control + m4 example for edge. Then you simply could press that command to open either browser. Take care, hope that helps. I will oh thanks for doing that

Or for convenience, or perhaps some other reason, you can have both running. You can't have two different versions of Firefox running, I don't know about two Chrome or Chrome-based browsers but you can have Firefox and a Chrome based browser running simultaneously.

Re: differences between chrome and firefox
Gene
Browsing is browsing with any browser that supports the Virtual pc cursor and browse mode. It is either identical or almost identical between the two browsers. I expect there is at least one attachment for each browser that notifies you when a download finishes.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
It is a very good idea to have both Firefox and Chrome or a Chrome-based browser on the same computer. Since one is Chrome or Chrome-based and Firefox isn't, when you are having a problem with a web site, trying the other browser may have better results and those results may be meaningful. There are differences in the way the program is designed, Chrome has only one menu, Firefox has many menus, as most programs do. Chrome works better in terms of speed of loading pages and it may not have a lagging problem Firefox may when you move through some pages. I don't know if this is a problem that amounts to anything, I don't use it much and I've only seen it on one site. I think the concensus you will see here, if enough people write, is that a lot more people prefer Chrome. But having said that, if you are at all a demanding Internet user, you should have both. There won't be much to learn to use Firefox if you already know how to browse well. Gene

editing group e-mails in thunderbird
Troy Burnham
Hi all,
I have a list of e-mail addresses set up under one name in thunderbird so that when I type that name the message I send goes to all of those addresses, but at least one address has changed in that list since I created it. Since the address I need to change is part of a longer list can I just find that address and delete it and reenter it, or since it's part of the longer list do I need to do it a different way? Thanks, and I hope this explanation is clear. Troy
