'Same Page' means that a link will take you to a portion of the page you're currently looking at. You don't want Jaws not to say this. Ann P. -- Ann K. Parsons Portal Tutoring EMAIL: akp@... Re: Website Question
Gene
It says same page link because the link takes you somewhere on the same page or opens new information on the same page. While you can stop this one way or another, you may find that useful at times. I don't use JAWS so I'll leave it to others to tell you how to stop that announcement. I know of a way but there may be a better one.

Re: Website Question
Gene
What do you mean difficult? Press enter on the book of the Bible you want to read, then find the verse you want to read and press enter. But without knowing what you find difficult, I might not be addressing your problem if I go into further detail. If the problem is that you have problems finding the book you want or where the versus begin or some such problems let us know. I've never seen a Bible site where you might not have such problems but they can be easily eliminated with navigation techniques that may help with many sites.

Re: How do you reduce bit rate in mp3 file?
Gene
You can do this but how long are they? For example, five files that are 80mb each, if you reduce them all to 64KBPS will save you about 20mb per file. You will save about 100MB. That isn't a lot of space. You may save quite a bit of space if they are truly long files or if they are shorter files and there are a lot but from looking around at some of my files, it appears to me that a 128KBPS file that is an hour long takes roughly 40mb. If you reduce it to 64KBPS, it will be somewhere around 20MB. Even if you have ten such files, you will only save 200MB and that isn't much space. Many times, that kind of question means its time to get another drive.
toggle quoted messageShow quoted text
You can use the program Switch to do this but it may not be worth the trouble. Gene

Filtering in Excel
Bhavya shah
Dear all,
I am using NVDA 2020.4 Beta 2, Excel 2016, and Windows 10. I am trying to make use of the Filter function in Excel to sift through a large chunk of data. The step of the process I am struggling at is this. I have selected the data range, enabled the Filter toggle from the Data tab in the Excel ribbon, and now I am supposed to click the Filter icon corresponding to the column header I am interested in working with. My focus is on the first cell of the column I wish to filter , but I am not sure where to locate this Filter icon and how to activate it. I would truly appreciate any assistance with the above. Thanks. -- Best Regards Bhavya Shah Stanford University | Class of 2024 E-mail Address: bhavya.shah125@... LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bhavyashah125/

How do you reduce bit rate in mp3 file?

All,
I have several mp3 files that should be just about the same file but the bit rate makes one file a good deal larger than the other. question about Apple e-gift cards
Troy Burnham
Hi all,
I sent an old iPhone back to apple a little before Thanksgiving this year and they sent me a gift card through e-mail. I redeemed the card and the money is in my apple account, but I want to contact applestore.com about a purchase and I seem to have misplaced the e-mail. Will I need the e-mail when contacting applestore.com so I can give them my pin number? Thanks, I use thunderbird and gmail and I've looked through the archives folder and the important folder in thunderbird, the e-mail isn't in the archives folder and there's over 400 e-mails in my important folder and I can't remember exactly what the subject line was of the e-mail nor do I remember exactly who it came from. I've searched the trash folder in thunderbird using words that might've been in either the subject or in the address the card came from in case I moved it out of my inbox without meaning to, but so far that hasn't worked and I have over 4000 messages in the trash folder. Yes I know, I should empty that folder now and then and I used to but obviously not lately. Troy
