If you use the program in that way, it may be useful. I thought it was being advocated to be run to remove temporary files and clean the registry whifch, I shouldn't say won't help, as I said before, but which I think is so unlikely to help that I would consider it very unlikely.

C Cleaner has a free version as well, it will just not update automatically or run cleans automatically. You will have to run them manually. You may need to enable the tabs by clicking the button more details. In the performance tab you will see CPU button and memory button. You can see the values by pressing enter, if the percentages are high then go back to the processes tab and see which process is using up CPU resources.

A few things you can look at are:

Make sure that the computer doesn’t have anything blocking the vents such as table cloths etc…

You can also check for driver and bio updates with the Lenovo vintage app that should be already installed on your computer.

There is also some performance settings you can adjust in this app that might help.

You can download C Cleaner to do a clean up of the machine and also to turn off programs that start up automatically.

You can use task manager under the performance tab to see which program is using up the CPU resources the most.

Hopefully this helps.

CCleaner won't solve the problem. It is a program that is mainly intended to remove temporary files and you can remove things like cookies;. It does have a registry cleaner but most problems aren't related to the registry, regardless of the misinformation you see all over the Internet and its better not to clean the registry unlessw you have a problem you can't solve in other ways and it seems the registry may be in some way a possible cause of the problem.

Re: accessible phone

Gene

I haven't used the Blind Shell Phone and I don't know how well the browser works. I'm not at all sure a feature phone will do all you want. I can use Youtube with my Phone because it works to some extent with the Google Assistant. If it didn't, the Youtube app on the phone would be inacdcessible. This is a feature phone and means nothing as to what can be done with a smart phone.

While I can probably do Google searches, my browser isn't fully accessible and its annoyingly cumbersome to use the browser at all seriously. There is no read to end command. I can read a [paragraph, then I have to issue a move down command to have the next paragraph read. Reading text of more than a short length is cumbersome to do in that way.

I have no idea if any feature phones have a What's App app.

Re: pc options

Thanks for the info! I tried to do hibernate but my pc does not like it when it comes back. For some reason the screen was not turning on which my sighted room-mate tells me; sounded fine to me though!  But I used the steps and selected the sleep option now; we will see if it works better. I was just reading that the first option seems to do more for the pc than the second option.   Cheers Heather

Hi Heather,

Yes, they are there but, somehow they've become unchecked.  Try the following to get them back.

1. Type Control Panel in the search box.
2. Press enter on Control Panel.
3. Click Power Options.
4. Click Choose what the power buttons do.
5. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.  You might have to tab or Shift + tab to get there.
6. Tab past, Turn on fast startup, and you'll come to checkboxes for Sleep Hibernate and Lock.  Check the boxes you want to show.  Now tab to save changes, press enter and Alt + F4 to close.

Stay safe and take care.  Mike.

Hay, I noticed on my windows pc running ten latest, I do not see a sleep or hibernate  in the list of options. Do they not have these options anymore? I only see shut  down, sign out and switch user. I am not using quick start up set.So is that the reason why I do not get these options? Thanks Heather

Hi,

Only in 2 cases you can dm someone on twitter, either if they follow you, or if they have the setting on where anyone can send them dm, which is like they’ll receive a request, if they accept you can continue dm them otherwise you can send only one message.

But some people just allow who they follow to dm them.

Good luck.

Re: I need to find my pass word for outlook 2010.

Monte Single

I think it is the password for the outlook account, and not the outlook software itself.

It will likely be necessary to call  the I s p or reset the account  password.

To find the product key for any installed software;

Go to www.belarcadvisor.com/download

Download and run the little appl

It will open in your default browser,  and a thorough report  of all hardware and software on your machine will be there for you to save or print.

I hate to sound  like a drone, but this little app has been around since the last millennium, is totally safe, and it is really free.

And that’s amazing!!

Enjoument is your option;  use is your choice.

I have this exact same issue, though I’ve never gotten  an error message. From what I’ve learned Juan is right, and some users may have their accounts set to not receive direct messages at all. If you have any other way to contact these people do so, there might be a way to get them to except your direct messages. It sure is frustrating though.
