Looking at the site it says for cCleaner by itself it is $24.95, I got the bundle but do not recall for how much. Not sure if this is a yearly fee or one time payment.

C Cleaner has a free version as well, it will just not update automatically or run cleans automatically. You will have to run them manually. You may need to enable the tabs by clicking the button more details. In the performance tab you will see CPU button and memory button. You can see the values by pressing enter, if the percentages are high then go back to the processes tab and see which process is using up CPU resources.

A few things you can look at are:

Make sure that the computer doesn’t have anything blocking the vents such as table cloths etc…

You can also check for driver and bio updates with the Lenovo vintage app that should be already installed on your computer.

There is also some performance settings you can adjust in this app that might help.

You can download C  Cleaner to do a clean up of the machine and also to turn off programs that start up automatically.

You can use task manager under the performance tab to see which program is using up the CPU resources the most.

Hopefully this helps.

Hi all,

I've had this laptop since March, and I notice that the fan seems to run a lot,

which I assume means that the laptop gets overheated, any idea why this might be

happening? I'm running Windows 10 2004, the latest Jaws 2021, and office 365. My

laptop is a Lenovo think book 13s 20r9005vus

Look forward to any thoughts or help anyone can provide!!!

Hi all,

Determining when to call for tech support is one of those skills which should be part of computer training but often isn't.

One calls for tech support if one has tried all the usual avenues and nothing has worked. One does not keep trying and trying the same things over and over, only to be disappointed. Make a list of the things which are not working. Then make a list of the things which you have tried to fix the problem. That way the tech person on the other end of the line can start at a point beyond the normal things to try, thus saving time and effort.

Formula Auditing tool, Microsoft Excel

Pablo Morales

Hello all,

I am trying to use the Formula Auditing tool. However, for some reason I can not detect the advantage of this tool. I am not sure if the information provided with this tool that is basically graphic should be announce by Jaws. Is jaws able to announce the references of the cells that are linked to another cells on a formula?

Thanks to all,

Pablo

Did you buy the license?  You can get a license subscription for 2 years and the updates would come automatically to your computer.  That's how I do it and then I don't have to go to the website.  Any time a new update comes, it asks me and I usually say yes and if I already have Jaws 2021 on my computer and I'm just updating it, I don't have to do anything.  Now when I went from 2020 to this one, I had to migrate settings so I would have my old settings and I had to go to have Jaws start when you turn on your computer.  I actually have to renew my license next year, I think.  Hope this helps.  If you don't have a license, I have no idea how to advise you.

Ok, I just downloaded the latest JAWS 2021, and the download went fine, and I got the message saying JAWS download has completed. Now, I can't seem to find any way to set JAWS up though, as far as having JAWS to start at start up, as far as importing JAWS settings from last version of JAWS 2020. I had to go through the search feature, and through all programs, and I did find JAWS 2021, but that is all. There wasn't any way I could make any changes. I went through the Control Panel, as well, and I can see JAWS 2021, but I can't make any changes there either. I will definitely call FS tomorrow, as now they are closed. Thank you so much.  That's exactly what I did.  My niece was here and I asked her to see if she could figure it out and she told me what to do when she took a look at it.  Everything seems to be updated.  I guess it did the update without me doing it.  I I have never had that happen.  I usually have to say yes and wait for it to update.  Hopefully next time it will ask me again just so i know it's there.  This was a quick fix.  Thank you all so much.

I listened a couple of times and I'm trying to work out where you are.  When you said you are in the license, I can hear "Exceptions" and then "drivers and Microsoft".   I can't quite tell what it is saying when you said you pressed tab and the arrows.   Could you please send me a copy of your NVDA log and I'll see if I can find something there.  You can find your log in the %temp% folder called nvda.log (the current or most recently running instance of NVDA) or nvda_old.log (the previous instance).

Attachments get dropped off most lists, so you likely need to send it in an email directly to me offlist - info@...

Yes please if you wouldn't mind. . I'm still trying to work with JAWS,
matter
of fact, I went back in to the control Panel, and I found JAWS 2021, and I
selected and removed the JAWS user's settings, and I noticed finally JAWS
2021
has disappeared! I am thinking when I downloaded JAWS , it might be set to
keep
my settings from the last version. I know we get this option, but I can't
remember if I kept those options in the JAWS 2020, and if so, that could
very
well be why JAWS is not behaving. I will now download JAWS 2021 once again,
and
see if that might make a difference. Just meaning because I had the JAWS
2021
that wasn't behaving normally, and just maybe when I downloaded the second
JAWS
it kept the settings from the JAWS that was not behaving. I hope this makes
sense! I will admit this sounds a little confusing! LOL!
Smile!
Thank you so much. !

As soon as I press shift f10, all I hear is a ding sound, and that is as far
as
I can get, so this isn't working. I have been having problems with JAWS
2021,
and I even downloaded a new version of JAWS 2021 thinking maybe JAWS 2021
got
corrupted during the first download. So, after downloading again, I then
get a
message saying this version of JAWS needs to be repaired, so I press space
or
enter to allow JAWS to repair, and I'm assuming it is repairing, as I hear
the
ticking sound as well as a message saying JAWS is preparing to download, and
I
get a message about 10 or 15 minutes later saying JAWS has completed the
repair,
and I need to restart my computer, so I restart the computer, but JAWS is
still
the exact same way. I can't seem to do anything with JAWS 2021 rather on my
Laptop win 10 or PC win 07.
Thank you so much for your instructions, as I wil keep them for further
references.

Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me if there is an easier way to uninstall JAWS 2021
in
Windows 10 Laptop, other than going through the Control Panel? I already
know
how to uninstall a program through the Control Panel. I don't think I've

Thank you in advance.

selected and removed the JAWS user's settings, and I noticed finally JAWS 2021
has disappeared! I am thinking when I downloaded JAWS , it might be set to keep
my settings from the last version. I know we get this option, but I can't
remember if I kept those options in the JAWS 2020, and if so, that could very
well be why JAWS is not behaving. I will now download JAWS 2021 once again, and
see if that might make a difference. Just meaning because I had the JAWS 2021
that wasn't behaving normally, and just maybe when I downloaded the second JAWS
it kept the settings from the JAWS that was not behaving. I hope this makes
sense! I will admit this sounds a little confusing! LOL!

Thank you so much, but I paid $1000 for JAWS license, and pay for the MSA
agreement every two years for JAWS updates. JAWS needs to work! I really don't
want to try and use another screen reader right now, as I am trying to get used

HI Madison.
As soon as I press shift f10, all I hear is a ding sound, and that is as far as
I can get, so this isn't working. I have been having problems with JAWS 2021,
and I even downloaded a new version of JAWS 2021 thinking maybe JAWS 2021 got
corrupted during the first download. So, after downloading again, I then get a
message saying this version of JAWS needs to be repaired, so I press space or
enter to allow JAWS to repair, and I'm assuming it is repairing, as I hear the
ticking sound as well as a message saying JAWS is preparing to download, and I
get a message about 10 or 15 minutes later saying JAWS has completed the repair,
and I need to restart my computer, so I restart the computer, but JAWS is still
the exact same way. I can't seem to do anything with JAWS 2021 rather on my
Laptop win 10 or PC win 07.
Thank you so much for your instructions, as I wil keep them for further

Oh Janit,
I'm so sorry you're having so many issues. Hopefully another list member can be
of more help. Do you want to keep trying with Jaws, or would you be willing to
try another screen reader?

Thank you so much for your instructions, as I wil keep them for further
references.

Janet

Hi Janit,
Hit the Windows key
Arrow down and you'll hear all aps
Arrow down until you get to Jaws, if your computer is like mine then it'll
probably be a folder that's collapsed If this is the case then enter on the
folder and the first thing that should come up is Jaws 2021 Press shift f10 then
arrow down a few times and you'll find uninstall Just enter on this and you
should get a little voice telling how far along the uninstall is

Hope this helps!!

Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me if there is an easier way to uninstall JAWS 2021 in
Windows 10 Laptop, other than going through the Control Panel? I already know
how to uninstall a program through the Control Panel. I don't think I've ever
uninstalled JAWS before, as I usually install it.

Thank you in advance.

Janet
