Re: Youtube TV question

Wendy Walker

I have had Youtube TV for about a year now. I use it on my iPhone and
on my Toshiba Fire TV. It is very accessible, it just takes getting
used to the layout like any new thing you use. What I found that
helped me a lot was to go on the iPhone app first and you can arrange
the channels in whatever order you like or even hide the channels you
never watch. This same lineup order will then appear in the app when
viewing it on the TV. There are no channel numbers, only the channel
call letters such as TBS or TV Land, etc. At least on my Fire TV, the
listings are in columns and rows so if you arrow left when you are in
the "Live" list you will be in the channel name. You can then arrow
down or up to see all the other channels. When you are on the channel
you want then arrow right and it tells you the name of the show. As
far as audio description, you cannot just turn it on and have it be on
for all shows like Netflix. You have to go into the options for the
show when you are watching it. I have not had luck with very many
channels though that play the audio description. That is really my
only complaint about this service.

Good day folks. My wife and I would like to divorce Xfinity cable. My
in-laws who are sighted have Youtube TV, and it seems to have every channel
that we like. Is there an accessible configuration that I could try that
would allow us to read the channel names as well as the guide on Youtube
TV?
Would an Amazon Fire TV box with the Youtube TV app installed speak the
channel names as well as the guide which tells us what is on? Do you folks
know of a smart TV with voice guidance that would read everything that the
Youtube TV app shows on the screen? We really want Youtube TV, and we need
voice guidance to help us navigate and figure out what is showing. Thanks
in advance for your thoughts.

Hi all,

I have a game on my computer that I need to have graphics on for because I need to hear the labeled graphics. I usually keep graphics turned off at all other times though so is there a way to have a profile that would automatically load only when I open the game that would have labeled graphics active and at all other times no graphics are spoken?

Thanks.

Howdy Monte,

It sounds like you're opening the main Dropbox folder on your computer, but Dropbox isn't starting with your computer and connecting to the internet.  Where do you have Dropbox set to start from?  It needs to be set to start from the Dropbox preferences and from the Startup tab in the Task manager.  As for the Dropbox icon not showing in the system tray, that needs to be turned on in,

Settings / Personalization / Taskbar...

I don't know when you'll read this message and if you don't getter figured out before tomorrow afternoon perhaps we can connect by phone and I'll see if I can help you get Dropbox configured over the phone.  I'll check back tomorrow to see what's happening.  Hasta la vista.

Yes, that’s how I feel.

I am using win10 20h2,  with current versionsof chrome, and nvda.

Lately,   dropbox does nothing.

Well,  It is checked to run at startup,  but it is not in the systray, not that I can see.

It never shows up in the app meny.I  then start dropbox with the run command, open it, drop folders into it,  wait a while for the upload process, but when I open the app menu on a folder,  I get no option to “copy link location.”

Ok, this so-called new toy from HIMS will come with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage
space. It will run Android10, no information was shared regarding a path to
an upgrade of the OS.

The presenters are directing everyone to visit the HIMS-INC website to read
more about the specs of the new toy. Oh, one more thing: No TOUCHSCREEN on
this thing, they contend that it wasn't popular. They also think that they
could possibly reintroduce the touchscreen some time later.

Here's the web address to go to:

www.hims-inc.com/bs6

Shipment of the bad girl is expected to begin in early June. They say it is
SHOCKINGLY FAST. It has FOUR USB PORTS: 2 USB-A, 1 USBC, and the fourth
one is specifically for computer-related stuff.

Cost Price: $5,795.00. Polaris owners can upgrade for $1,500.00! Will
yell again when I find out anything else interesting worth reporting.

Sincerely,
Olusegun

Yes, and it does seem to record it on the DVR, as long as you choose the recording from there instead of the on-demand stuff they also offer.
