Hi all, the Hellen Keller foundation is going to give me a new computer in three to four months. Until then, I have this very unreliable one to work with. I can’t update anything. I can’t get jaws to install anything. I have version 2018, but it won’t install anything past that, even though I have been authorized to have later versions.

My win amp play won’t open properly etc. So I have to work with this, and I was just wondering if I head the geek squad install a new hard drive on this computer, it might solve my problems. Any ideas on this please?? Jim

We Transfer is accessible. I have almost never used it, and others may be able to tell you how without perhaps transferring something before doing so. If you don't get a good solution, I'll transfer something to myself and tell you how to do it.

I have a file I want to transfer to another person. What is an easy way to do this? I tried WE transfer, but did not find it accessible.

Re: transfer a file?

Monte Single

How large is the file?

If it just a few megabytes, you can attqach it to an email.

Another option is to set up a free Dropbox account.

Re: linkstash questions

Gene

Are you talking about bookmarks in Chrome itself or in a utility you are using?

I'm not sure what the answers are to your questions. At the same time, I may be able to tell you how to work with bookm marks in Chrome that will be easy and convenient and so you may not care how they are organized or where they are.

If you are in the address bar, control l, if you type a word that appears in a book mark or more than one word, if you wish, you can up or down arrow and find pertenient results. I believe that in Chrome, if you u;p arrow, you will find the pertenient results.

Those using other Chrome-based browsers will have to experiment. I think that in Edge, arrlowing down will show you the pertinent resulrts.

for example, if I want to quickly find the book mark for The New York Times, I type times in the address bar and up arrow.
If I want to find the book mark for The New York Times Today's Paper, I type times paper.

You can experiment with things you want to find.

When you try to find book marks in this way, it doesn't matter where they are in terms of how they are organized..

I should add something important. If you have typed something then started to look through the results by up arrowing in CChrome, you can leave the list and return to the address bar by pressing escape. Then issue the command control l even if you are on the address bar and type whatever you want to type. You may want to try searching for a book mark by typing something else, or entering a web site address, or whatever you do in the address bar. That is how you return to it, esca;pe, control l before typing something, then type whgatever you want.

When searching for bookmarks in this way, don't type something and press enter.l Type something, such as times, and thebn start up arrowing. If you press enter, you won't get the proper results.

Under that there 2 sub folders when I right arrow on the amazon folder. To see the other bookmarks under amazon I tab twice. Is that right? Second I have a bunch that aren’t sorted How do I not copy one at a time? Is there an easier way then copying one by one? I want to sort them better. Third It put them under favorites bar when it imported the folders and bookmarks how do I clean this up?

I've seen comments that Gmail is not accessible, questions on how to make best use of Facebook without using the mobile interface, and so on. I've also seen comments where blind people say that email threading is painful, not accessible, and they feel forced to use Outlook because Outlook is the only accessible/productive solution for reading mail.
