Re: Outlook Express & Windows 10

Hi folks. Don't forget, windows 10 has an email app built in that works pretty well. I rarely use it myself as I prefer outlook, but I have many clients who are using it. If basic email management is all you want, it works fine. If you want to get fancy, set message rules and such, it's not the program for you.

Under the menu there should be a spot that says timers and alarms. Clicking on this wall are you to choose your alarm sound. I believe the menu is now located under the more tab on the far right hand bottom corner of the screen. Hope this helps, Ashley

Hi there, Mr Rawls! I had a problem installing Windows 10, and I found
that I had requested a file to be put on my computer that would not let a higher version than 7 be installed. Windows gave me instructions as what to do, so I followed them and then got Windows 10 installed. I can't remember what the instructions were now, but if you get the Windows10UpgraderApp.exe, this might help. Nance -- Nancy Shackelford --Walk On Faith And Trust In Love - Michael Reid--

Re: Edit Field With Brave Browser Question Please.
Mike B <mb69mach1@...>
Hi Janet,
Check your typing echo setting in Brave, it's
possible you changed the setting accidentally. Press, Insert + 2, on the
number row to toggle through the options. The typing echo options are,
character, words, both characters and words and none.
Hold down the, Insert key, and tap the, 2 key,
stopping on the option you want.
In Jaws 2021 the, Insert + spacebar, then
pressing, S, toggles speech between, Speech on demand, and Full speech.
You'll have to experiment with this to get the hang of the way the 2 settings
work.
Stay safe and take care. Mike.

Hi List, My alarm sound changed itself. I asked her to change back, but she said that this needs to be done in the Alexa app, but I can’t find anything there that will let me do that.

Ok, I just followed your instructions, and those commands did turn off JAWS, and I typed words, and turned JAWS back on, and still JAWS is speaking every key I press. As far as searching for more commands of JAWS, I really don't want to do that, as I am slowly moving away from JAWS as my screen reader. I'm quite disappointed in JAWS 2021 as well as JAWS 2020, and this is the very first time in 25 years I didn't pay FS for the MSA. Although, because I did pay for JAWS 2021, I will need to call FS very soon because I can't even understand a word of what JAWS is saying on my Win 10, as it is a total mess, as well as Win 10, but because I already paied for JAWS 2021, I will try and get all I can from him. On many newer keyboards, the right hand windows key has been replaced by the fn key. When pressed in conjunction with the function keys, it makes them do various things like raising and lowering volume and, unfortunately, muting sound.

I did move back to highlight, but it made no difference, matter of fact, it was already on highlight. I can't stand this JAWS speaking every word, so something has to give here. Janet

I meant to write then move to highlighted when you are finished. But my guess may not be correct and JAWS reading what is highlighted may not be the cause of the problem. One method is to turn off speech, type, then turn it on again. To turn off speech, the command is JAWS key space, followed by the letter s. The same command again turns speech on again. It sounds to me as though there is no setting that will solve the problem. My guess is that what is happening is that when you type, the letter is appearing as a selected or highlighted letter. JAWS is announcing it as it appears because JAWS reads selected text by default. As I consider the problem, there may be another way to solve the problem. JAWS key s switches between three options. The default is highlighted and it is the one you would usually use. All is another option and none is another. Use the command to move to none and see what happens when you type. them move to highlighted after you finish. Hi All, Just for a few weeks maybe a month, everytime I type a search in the edit field using Brave, it keeps typing every letter as well as every word. This is driving me crazy. I have searched in the Brave settings, I've turned off audo complete to see if that would make a difference, I've checked JAWS 2021 Echo settings, and he is set to speak nothing as I type, but nothing seems to make a difference. Can someone please give me some suggestions as to how I might rectify this issue before I pull out my hair. This current issue is happening on Win 7 as well as Win 10. Thank you in advance. Janet Peace Be With You.
