General Mike, since the Logitech H800 also has bluetooth built-in, I'm
thinking it might be ok to simply forget about the lost USB dongle and just
pare it as a bluetooth toy.

As for a replacement dongle though, I think only Logitech can come close to
providing a real answer on that one.

No, I used discoverbank.com, but George helped me find it.

It would be easier with edge but on chrome, the login button was right there; however, it said extra crap mixed in with login.

podcast recording on iPhone

Kay Malmquist

Hi Peoples,

Today we are venturing in to a new possible catastrophe.  If I, like a million other people want to create a podcast and I wanted to record on my iPhone because I have a really neat adjustable stereo mic that plugs in to my iPhone via the lightning plug, what app or app would I use?  And for that matter, what would be the best way to just simply record things on my iPhone that I might want to keep?  Also, could I use said microphone if I created videos?  Thanks for all thought about this.

Hi James,

I use the Pluggable keyboard from AT Guys and love it. When unfolded, the keyboard is spacious enough to allow for comfortable typing, and the key travel is deep enough to make me feel confident in my accuracy. You're going to need a flat service to make good use of it.
Typing on your lap will be difficult, because it will want to fold in on itself. I've rarely discovered this is an issue though. The battery life is phenomenal. In the two years I've owned the keyboard, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had to juice up. Of course that will depend on how often you use it. I hope this was helpful.

The Comments Section does show up, but sometimes you need to move up and
down the screen three or four times before your movement triggers the
Comment section to either be read, or to be displayed.

And then some Videos have the Comments turn off.

Victor Reader Trek question

Jacob

Hello tech talk list.

As the subject suggests, I have a question about the victor reader Trek, although I guess it applies to the Stream as well.

Besides the diagnostics menu, the profile reset and pressing the info key 3 times quickly, are there any other undocumented/hidden keystrokes or commands that have been discovered

Thank you

Jacob

Re: a pin drive / USB stick question..?

Thomas N. Chan

You can do a chkdsk on it.
Type cmd on your run and then type
chkdsk e: /f
E: will be your drive letter and f switch will fix if there's any file issue, structure issue etc.
/r will repair or move  if there's any cluster issue

It's fairly cheap nowadays for usb thumb drive, but I will not put that as a storage if you read and write often on them.

I have a pin drive with a rather large number of audio books that I enjoy listening to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Much Thanks!

Re: comment section in youtube is not displaying

Quentin Christensen

YouTube displays the comments under the recommended videos, and it starts with the spot for you to add a public comment.

Although there is something which acts like an edit field to "add a public comment", it's done in such a way that it isn't actually a traditional edit field, so you can't find it by navigating by edit field or even form field.  The best way I've found to get to it is:

1. Press NVDA+control+f to open NVDA's find function.
2. Type the word "comments" (without quotes)
3. Press ENTER to move to the first instance of the word.
4. Press TAB twice to move past "Sort by" and onto the edit field.

I have found that sometimes everything hasn't loaded and it can't find comments.  In this case, escape the error dialog, press CONTROL+END to jump to the bottom of the page, then up arrow and it's usually actually at the comments - YouTube seems to load the video and then related / suggested videos, then after that the comments, and sometimes it doesn't load the comments until you actually scroll down to the bottom of the page to get to them.
