Keith,

I was wondering if you notice any difference in JAWS or the spead of the PC, when you are using headphones?

Hi Keith,

It’s good to see you out here again!  Smile!  You’re still having the same problem with your PC? I don’t think by using the safe mode will give you a fresh install of Windows 10.  I don’t think the safe mode has anything to do with that.  Keith, you remember I told you I bought a new Windows Laptop? Well, needless to say it is very slow, I’m not happy with it, JAWS has developed a speech impediment, I could just throw the Laptop as well as JAWS out the window.  Keith, I debated for at least 2 years if I wanted to buy a Windows Laptop, or an iPad, well, unfortunately, I picked Windows, and I have regretted it ever since!  So, I can sympathise with you right now.  Every time I get an update from Windows, my Laptop gets worse!  Keith, do you use a headphone or earbuds with your PC?

Hi, I was informed on this list that my installation of windows 10 is most likely damaged (I have previously posted the slowness using jaws and windows 10 and th lag and what not on the system.)

I was told that if I enter safe mode, I can choose to either  reinstall the windows 8 that came pre-installed on the laptop, or reinstall windows 10, since my cousin did the upgrade to windows 10 when microsoft was offering the upgrade for free from windows 8 to windows 10.

My question is how do I enter safe mode on an HP laptop.  I know that some name brand systems have different safe mode keys taht you have to push and hold while the system is booting up.

(I hae a netbook that uses the F8 key during startup to enter safe mode.

Anyone have a clue as to what I hold down on my HP laptop to enter  safe mode?

Many thanks

Why don't you use the reset option in Windows 10 which doesn't rely on safe
mode and will place a clean Windows 10 on the machine.

You should also test your speakers/microphone to make sure they are set to use during the meeting. In addition, it is recommended that you use a headset for best results.

I can't comment on the tablet app. On the desktop application, open zoom
and tab around. It should be selfexplanatory what to enter where. Enter
the first item in whatever that field is and the pass code, the same as a
pass word, in the second field which I believe says passcode. You can move
through whatever is their by tabbing.

Enter the information, then tab to whatever is appropriate, I think there is
a join meeting button. I do it but I don't particularly try to remember
exact wording.

Try entering the information and joining the meeting. Even though the
meeting isn't going on now, you should get to some sort of waiting screen if
you enter the information correctly.

Hello,

Ok, I've got the zoom app on my phone and also on the tablet. I'll

Thanks.

no need to maximize folders;
try the following;

1, go to chrome browser,

you want them expanded,

I don't know if or how long it will take before someone with experience of
doing
this will respond but I may have found something helpful. In playing around
on
the web site, I almost never use it, evidently you have to be in something
where
you would use the calendar to see the tab. I don't know where else you
might
see it, but I saw the tab while in an opened message.
I didn't see it when I was on the main page for my Gmail account. This may
help
you do what you want.

The link is correct. It is a long link. When you get a message like that,
check
to see if the link is more than one line long. If so, you need to copy and
paste the entire link into a browser's address bar and follow it that way.

I'm not sure if I can help. Others probably can.

Are you saying you press enter on the calendars tab and then can't find what
you
are looking for? I don't have a calendars tab. I don't know why but from
what
you say, evidently you do.

I don't know if it would help. there is a problem with my GMail and, for
some
reason, I can only use simple HTML. Are you using simple HTML or the other
setting? I don't remember its name.

I'm trying to find my calendars under the calendars tab, I'm trying to
subscribe
my google calendar to Outlook. I have instructions, but I just can't get to
the
my calendars tab/button. I can send the link for the instructions if that
would
help.

What are you trying to do? If we know that, we can address the actual
problem,
not just how you want to try to solve it, which may or may not be necessary
or a
good solution.

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to maximize my folder pain on the gmail website and
have
it stay that way? I'm trying to do something but it's not showing up and
someone
on another list (which clearly isn't for screen reader users) suggested that
I
maximize my folder pain. I'm using latest Jaws and Edge. Thanks Madison

I have, but I'm using an iPhone. Maybe that makes a difference.

Hello:

I have encountered several websites lately that require this. I hate it! I spend most of my time on my iPhone and I can usually solve these things with an audio challenge. But not so with this kind. Again, I hate it!

Hi, didn't Craigslist used to have an email address for each seller that

Re: HP laptop : How to enter safe mode?

Janet

Subject: [TechTalk] HP laptop : How to enter safe mode?

Many thanks
