Go Contact Sync Mod set-up wizard question

Madison Martin

Hi all,
Is there anyone on hear who has experience using Go Contact Sync Mod? The reason
that I ask is because I just downloaded and installed it, but I have a question
about something in the set-up wizard. I have multiple Google calendars within my
Google account, and I've checked the box to sync appointments, but I want to
know is there a way for me to select all of the calendars at once, or will I
have to select each one individually? If so, then I assume it's possible for me
to keep going back into the set-up wizard? Really hope someone can help me, as
there isn't any tech support for this. Using latest builds of Jaws and Windows
10. Thanks for any help anyone can provide me!!!!!!!!
Madison

I am using JAWS 2019, JAWS 2020 & JAWS 2021 on a Windows 10 machine with Office 2016. I have not encountered this problem in Outlook or Word.

Suggest you perform a JAWS repair or a fresh install.

I do not see this issue with JAWS 2021 and 365 outlook app. One thing you can try if you have not already is to repair your office product. You can do this by going to add or remove programs, find Microsoft office, press space to expand the options, tab over to advanced  options and activate it, in here you should see various options of what you can do with this application, one should be repair or you can also reset it. Hope this helps.

Hi folks.  Just writing to inform you of a problem I have encountered but have just learned the cause and I wondered if it is peculuar to me or if others have at some point had the same experience.

Let me explain myy set up:  I have two Win10 machines and 2 Win7 machines.  On the Win7 I am running office 2010 and on the Win10 machines I'm running Office 2019.  On these 4 machines I have NVDA & Jaws 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2019.  each of the computers has a couple of versions of Jaws and of course in Win10 I also have narrator.

OK, that's the set up, now for the issue.

When in outlook (2010 or 2019) and have finished writing an email and want to check it out so use the spell checker I get an error message.  I can't remember the wording but the essence is thatwhen the programme was being installed some macro settings were not instaled.  I also get an error message in Word when I want to save a document, different from the outlook error, this one says that authorisation wasn't completed but it was. When the message appears and providing I do not touch any other key then pressing enter removes the message.  I had my computer guy round this morning installing some stuff and he checked it out and although he spent around half an hour trying to figure it out by accident we discovered a conflict with Jaws, any version of Jaws.  When Jaws is turned off and he uses the mouse then the spell checker works flawlessly and when I use NVDA then the same is true but when I turn Jaws back on I once more get the error message.

Now I know the cause it isn't so much of a concern as I only need press enter when the error message pops up but I am wondering; am I the only one who has had this experience?  It happens on all 4 computers, Win7 and Win10, On two different versions of Office and only happens when Jaws is active and any of the four versions I've mentioned.  Most interested to know if I'm the only one experiencing this.  Walter.

Re: NVDA keyboard list

Gene

I really object to what I've seen of this list. it mixes Windows commands with screen-reader commands and doesn't indicate or explain the difference.
For example, say next carachter is given as right arrow or numpad 3. These are completely different commands. Right arrow is a windows movement command when working with an application cursor. Numpad 3 is an NVDA command. it moves within the object or in review mode and doesn't move you in the document. Right arrow moves you in the document and announces where you have moved. This is not the way NVDA commands should be presented. NVDA commands are not Windows or program commands and they should be given as completely separate commands and program commands should not be included in such lists.

Re: NVDA keyboard list

Perhaps you can find what you want, but I don't know how likely that is. Have you looked at the quick Reference Guide for commands? It just lists commands. It lists commands in a specific order, for each command, the desktop one is given first.

But how is the person going to use the computer? Only a small number of commands may be needed. Read to end, Read title bar, quit, Run NVDA, adjust speed of speech commands, and the quick navigation commands for browsing, or perhaps only a small number of them. You may do best to make a list yourself or, if you tell us how the person is going to use the computer, we can make a list. Most of what a lot of people do is not using screen-reader commands, but Windows and program commands. the commands I've mentioned above may be about all that a lot of users will use.

oh heck yes! you can do it just fine with the borders you are talking about. just remember that string is moving quick and will rip up a pair of shoes if not careful. also eye protection, and long pants. get extra string as you will probably go through it fast until you get used to handling the weed trimmer. with the right borders etc. you can even mow parts of the yard.

my wife and i just expanded our back yard and I'm getting used to almost an extra quarter acre of lawn and my dogs are loving it.

Jackie does the mowing but I do all the fence building etc.

have fun.

There's one extension I use on all  chromium browser call Share link by email
It will fill up the email for you like subject and url on the body of the message.
You can use on web base email like yahoo, hotmail and gmail etc.
you can customize how many line before and after the url

If thats easier for you, you need to know how to access the toolbar and  pin it out.
Once you done that initial part, all is just,  alt key once, and shift - tab to access it.

Well, depends how you want it to be done.

Well, I'm back.  I got the mic and it seems to work, but I can not get any sound from the monitoring jack on the mic to come out.  The only thing I hear is voice over from my iPhone.  When I listen to the recording I have made, I can hear the volume being  adjusted and everything else that I am playing back through the recording.  I was just using the voice memos app.  Any ideas?

Hi:

There are many powerful and accessible recording apps for the iPhone.  These include Dolby On, Ferrite Recording Studio, GoldWave, Hokusai and TwistedWave.  I strongly urge you to look up each one of these apps in the app store and elsewhere on the internet to learn all about them so that you can decide which ones will best suit you.  You might want to use several of these apps so you can get the most out of audio production and editing.

I hope others will contribute their own suggestions and advice on this matter.

Blessings,

Victor

Hi Peoples,

Today we are venturing in to a new possible catastrophe.  If I, like a million other people want to create a podcast and I wanted to record on my iPhone because I have a really neat adjustable stereo mic that plugs in to my iPhone via the lightning plug, what app or app would I use?  And for that matter, what would be the best way to just simply record things on my iPhone that I might want to keep?  Also, could I use said microphone if I created videos?  Thanks for all thought about this.

One way to do it is to press Alt+D, which brings you to the address bar.
Then, press home to make sure you're at the beginning of the address.
Next, press ctrl+shift+end to select the entire address.
Press Ctrl+C to copy the address
Next open your email and start to compose it
Once in the body of the message, press Ctrl+V to paste that puppy in
there.
Maybe not the shortest way to go about it but it gets the job done.

How do I email a link from Chrome? I tried pressing Alt+F to see if I could
get to submenu, but I was not successful in finding out how - running
Windows 10 and JAWS 18.
