I don't think so and I didn't see such a box.  If you did this a good while ago, the interface keeps changing. 


My guess is that the page specified is loading but more than one tab is opening.  When you open the browser, after a pause to let the page load, move by tab to see if any others are opened.  The command is control tab.

I haven’t looked at this in any detail but if you use the add new page part of the dialog, there is an add button.  This dialog may work better if browse mode is off.  I don’t know if that is the case but if you don’t get where you expect to be when you activate the add page button, turn browse mode or the virtual pc cursor off, activate the button and tab around. 

 

There is a new tab radio button and I don’t know if that acts like a home page or if the show pages does or just what the difference is between the two.  But it may be that one reason you had problems yesterday is that you didn’t have browse mode or the virtual PC cursor, whetever your screen-reader calls it, off even before you activated the button that opens the dialog.

It's been a while since I set a home page in Chrome. So, I don't remember exactly how I did it. But there might be a Save button at the bottom of the page. If you didn't click that, any changes you made wouldn't have taken effect. I hope this helps.

another couple of Firefox question

Hi

I have recently up-graded to the latest firefox, two things, when I close
tabs, I can close all but the last tab but can't actually close firefox, not
sure why.

In Chrome, you can have a sound to play when you have downloaded something,
is there something similar for firefox?

As far as I know, removing a program from the apps folder has nothing to do with whether it runs at startup.  I don’t know about Windows 10 apps and others would have to comment on those but as far as I know, the shell:apps folder contains shortcuts to open all programs and has nothing to do with whether they run automatically at bootup. 
 
I don’t think you should remove items from the apps folder without further discussion.

Hey guys,

I did fix this. What I did was to tell my iphone to jforget the bluetooth connection and went back into Voiceover and got a good bluetooth connection and all is well.

I read in the latest manuel that was sent to make sure that either Auto or Bluetooth was active. I chose auto.

You may not want to share a file in this way.  The people you are sharing with can press a button at the top of the page and move from the file to the folder containing the file.  they can see every file in the folder.  While you can share a file, you are really sharing the whole folder, but the link the person follows shows them the specific file.  but the button takes you back to the entire folder just by activating it.

When you press enter on share, tab until you get to a field that says contact name.  It is actually the place where you put the e-mail address of the person you want to share with.  After doing so, tab until you get to the share button.  Press the space bar.  I would think you can place multiple e-mail addresses in the field but I don’t know the correct syntax.

That happens when you have exceeded the amount of band width your links have for I believe it is a day.  If this is the first time this has happened, the suspension will end twenty four hours after it began.  If this has happened more than once, the suspension will be longer, perhaps two days, I’m not sure. 
 
I don’t think you can share files, though I haven’t checked.  You may have to share a folder with specific people.  If you want to do that, I’ll look at the dialog again and tell you how.  But if you want to share it with more than one person, I’m not sure of the syntax.  Someone else may know.
 
but since your links are suspended, you are sharing them with too many people or what you are sharing is so large that not as many people who download it using your link or links are exceeding your bandwidth.  You may want to get a paid account, which gives you much more data allowance or you may want to use a sharing service such as We Transfer or another one I’d have to check the name of.  I can discuss those services more if you wish..

Subject: [TechTalk] Dropbox help needed
 
Hi all
Anybody know how to create sharable link using dropbox? I can access
share option from its context menu, but in the dialog appears next, I
can't activate any of those button using Jaws.
Using Windows 10 pro 64 bit, and Jaws 2020.
Any help would be appreciated.

Also if Dropbox feels that you're violating some sort of Copyright laws they won't allow you to share.

I just checked and you can share a file. 
 
When you press enter on share, tab until you get to a field that says contact name.  It is actually the place where you put the e-mail address of the person you want to share with.  After doing so, tab until you get to the share button.  Press the space bar.  I would think you can place multiple e-mail addresses in the field but I don’t know the correct syntax.

That happens when you have exceeded the amount of band width your links have for I believe it is a day.  If this is the first time this has happened, the suspension will end twenty four hours after it began.  If this has happened more than once, the suspension will be longer, perhaps two days, I’m not sure. 
 
I don’t think you can share files, though I haven’t checked.  You may have to share a folder with specific people.  If you want to do that, I’ll look at the dialog again and tell you how.  But if you want to share it with more than one person, I’m not sure of the syntax.  Someone else may know.
 
but since your links are suspended, you are sharing them with too many people or what you are sharing is so large that not as many people who download it using your link or links are exceeding your bandwidth.  You may want to get a paid account, which gives you much more data allowance or you may want to use a sharing service such as We Transfer or another one I’d have to check the name of.  I can discuss those services more if you wish..

I just checked and you can share a file.

I didn’t think you could share individual files but I may be wrong.  I’ll do a little checking.  I see a share option when I check in the context menu for an individual file.  I had thought sharing was only available for folders.

I think it occurs with all of my file. Yestarday I uploaded a file onto dropbox to share to a friend, but didn't upload into public folder, and I think that cause the error, butu after reading your e-mail, i choose a file in the public folder, which I haven't share to people for afew year, and got the same result so I don't know the reasont.
