Re: Accessible ePub to Docs converter?
I find it easier to read books in Word format on my computer as compared to epub books. So, I convert them using Stanza.
A personal choice.

Re: Accessible ePub to Docs converter?
Hi all,
Why would you want to convert them to .docx? Epub books are similar to DAISY books and will play in any DAISY reader unless they are incrypted.

Re: Accessible ePub to Docs converter?
Thanks, but someone actually recommended something that I didn’t bother to think about. Just use Codex to convert to Word 2007. Seems to do the trick.

Re: Accessible ePub to Docs converter?
I use Stanza to convert epub books to docx. It is an offline converter & fairly accessible.

Accessible ePub to Docs converter?
Hello list,
So I’m trying to convert some ePub files to Docs. I have both Codex and Calibre in conjunction with Carlos Nazario’s eBook-convert GUI to make Calibre more screen reader accessible.

Re: using NVDA
Morning all,
NVDA and Jaws are similar. I'd put NVDA on your system, and leave Jaws there too. You can switch between them.
Many of the commands are identical e.g. read current line, read title

The default in JAWS is not to show more than one link on a line even if a sighted user sees more than one. NVdA, in what I think is a bad default setting, is the opposite. If there is more than one

Nope, you can't rename it because it is not a file. It just appears all over the place like random text from nowhere. The tech support thinks it is a VO problem because they can not see it until

Gene,
What do you mean by this entire part about links on one line?
I don’t see links on one line using Jaws latest by default.
If I remember correctly, Smart reading is on by default in

Hi Kay,
I don't know what the older iPhones way back to 6 are capable of, but using modern versions, you can actually access your cloud files through your iPhone under the files

Hello Kay, Yes that is a strange problem, so maybe renaming the file and dragging and dropping into the correct file may work. For what ever reason the imported files thinks it’s a necessary part

Re: Well now we know 4GB of ram won't be enough for a screen reader...
And given that those are conservative estimates, it is good policy to get a system double those requirements, which means 128 gb ssd, 8 gb ram, and a quad core. 4 gb ram would barely run windows

Re: pay pal payments
Yes there is a way to find out.
One way is to call apple at 1-800 MyApple, and they should be able to tell you.
There probably is a way to do this on your iDevice too.
