I did all of that as well, but not luck. Correct that not even a file is created.

Evidently you are saying that no blank file is created. I don't know why that would be. I would suggest copying a different copy of the program to the machine and see if the new copy works.

It sounds like your function keys are to to multimedia keys.
Someone on the list who uses a dell can tellyou how to set the functions keys back to their regular mode.

Corect, but the Jaws scanCursor is something else. It is the JawsCursor
[mouse\ but for modern apps.
Also activated with the num-minus.

I don't believe that is possible.
Jaws will activate the Jaws scanCursor when it is a modern application
and the information cannot be red by the normal JawsCursor.
